The Garden Shed is a lovely cottage located in Homer's Old Town District. The Garden Shed is fully handicapped accessible with a ramp and grab bars in the bathroom and in the shower. Walking distance to galleries, restaurants, coffee shops, bakery, and THE BEACH!
Check in was seamless. We loved the proximity to the beach, a great restaurant and coffe place all on the same road. We had everything we needed in the cottage
Great location in a beautiful garden setting. Very comfortable, well appointed and provided everything we needed. And our host was the best, including suggesting AJâs restaurant. Excellent choice!
This cottage was the perfect spot to access all that Homer and the surrounding areas had to offer. Our kids loved walking to the beach in the evenings. The gardens were beautiful, this was a great home away from home.
Love this spot so close to amazing birding and beach time. Second tome we have chosen this particular spot and will do so again. Delicious food within walking distance. We were down for the Kachemak Shorebird Festival and appreciated the ease of being near so many things. Thank you!
charming, fully equipped cottage in fantastic âold townâ neighborhood in Homer - just perfect in ALL ways - thank you for adding to our Alaska adventures!!!
We typically stay up the mountain for a view over the Spit. This time we were only able to find the Garden She which is located near the beach. We had a nice location with the shops and food option within walking distance. The location had parking and was easy to enter and exit. The house was clean and well stocked with towels, etc. The murphy bed was a nice addition for our teen son. We had plenty of room to move around and while we were only there for 2 evenings it would be a great location for a longer stay. The kitchen had everything necessary for a longer stay. We would definilty return.
We had a very nice stay in Homer that was conveniently walking distance to restaurants, beach, hiking trails, shops, and a short drive to the spit. Thank you
Second time renting this property, it's a delight! We love it and look forward to our trip, the cottage is cozy and comfy and so close to the beach and bakery. We can't wait to go back soon. Highly recommend!
Itâs not often everything is so goodâŠbooking process, fair price, communication, location, comfort level and cleanlinessâŠbedroom, bathroom, kitchen setupâŠwhat else to say?
Nothing was missingâŠneeded nothing else.
Had a wonderful time and would highly recommend.
My mom, partner and I loved our stay here! After plans changed of other vacationers, Connie promptly contacted me and informed me that she upgraded us to the Sea Shanty. It was extremely clean, cozy, and had everything you would need, including a very well appointed kitchen! The location is amazing, just steps from Bishops beach. Connie was extremely helpful and friendly, as well as communicative. Will absolutely be booking again!
Conni is a lovely host. Easy to get in touch with and very helpful. Beautiful property, ideal location, all the amenities required. Super clean! Hoping to stay here again in the future.
We stayed two nights in this cozy little house. There are three other rentals on same lot. Quiet and peaceful. Easy, short walk to the beach. TV, books and games- but we never used the TV!!! Restaurants in walking distance, short drive to the Spit. Definitely recommended!!!
Comfortable cottage with a beautiful beach within walking distance. Quick access to the offerings of Homer and the Homer Spit. Restaurants in the area were great. Fishing for Halibut! Hiking in Kachemak SP/Grewingk Glacier. Bear viewing trip. And sightseeing water taxi around the bay. Then a bit of relaxation at a Norwegian style spa right on the shoreline. Ahhhhh.
This is a cute little house in Homer - it's a bit tight for a family of 5, but it worked for us. Two kids shared a bed and one kid slept on the murphy bed in the living room. One of the bedrooms has a door but it doesn't go all the way to the ceiling, so it's more of a little barrier, not quite a room. The location is great, plenty of places to walk to (the crepe place down the street is wonderful and so is the winery), and the Homer Spit is a short drive away.
