Cute As A Bug Cottage On The Shores of Big Manistique Lake

Our 'Cozy Cottage' is the quintessential UP knotty pine cottage. Quaint and cozy and right on the east shore of Big Manistique Lake, It's the perfect place to enjoy all that Michigan's 4 seasons have to offer. Cozy Cottage is centrally located in the eastern UP so many of the favorite attractions are within an hours drive.

If you're just looking for a place to relax and enjoy the lake, Cozy Cottage has a lakefront deck with ample seating, an outdoor table for dining, and a gas BBQ. There is a fire pit just feet from the shoreline for spectacular sunset views, and there is a stone fireplace inside.

Cozy Cottage has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen that includes a coffee pot, toaster, crock pot, air fryer, griddle and Ninja blender. We have a Reverse Osmosis drinking water system so you don't need to buy bottled water. Full dinnerware is supplied. The spacious dining room seats 6. All bed linens and bath towels are provided as well as all paper products. You will need to bring your own beach towels.
We have the Highline Fiber Optics so you’ll have excellent TV viewing in the living room and both bedrooms, and great WIFI for your phones and computers.

We have a dock if you're bringing a boat and we are only 500 feet away from a public launch. Our lot is private to the road and there is space to park your trailers behind the garage. We have 3 kayaks available for guest use and we provide the lifejackets. There are 2 tubs of kiddie beach toys too!

If you're visiting in the winter, there is a lean to off the garage for your snow machines. Groomed trails are just a few miles away. Ice fishing is right outside your door and dog sledding is available near Newberry!

We love our Cozy Cottage and have vacationed here ourselves before we bought it. We hope you will love it too!

This place is a hidden GEM!!!!! I have been vacationing in curtis for years and now that i have found this place i will not stay anywhere else! The hosts were MORE than accommodating with a special request we had. We are very thankful for their flexibility. We are looking forward to visiting again this summer!

Beautiful Quiet Cottage

This is our 4th time staying at the cozy cottage and we just love it here. The property is beautifully maintained and located lakefront. It’s our favorite place to just come and relax.

Perfect stay in the U.P.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at the Cozy Cottage! The house was clean and ready for us to arrive. It was well stocked with so much thought put in to having essential items available. The beds were all super comfy- everyone slept great. For outdoor activities we really made use of the kayaks on the property. We had good weather for swimming too. On the few cooler days we ventured out to the Seney Wildlife Preserve. We also took a ride to see Lake Superior at Pictured Rocks. We took in a beautiful sunset and our evenings were cozy in the cabin as well. Overall it was a fun, relaxing stay in the U.P. Thank you for sharing your cozy, cute as a bug cottage with us!

Beautiful Cottage

Myself and a friend visited the cottage over Thanksgiving and it could not have been more perfect. Clean cabin, kitchen very well stocked, good size bedrooms, and a breathtaking view of the water. Will absolutely stay here again!

Perfect Cozy Retreat!

This was our family's second stay at the Cozy Cottage and it was another great experience. I love the location as it is central to many UP attractions. The lake is so beautiful and peaceful, and the kids love swimming in it. The cabin itself is very clean and welcoming, and incredibly well-stocked...had everything we needed! Hope to be back again in the future!

Lovely cottage!

We had an absolutely lovely stay at the cottage and cannot wait to go back in the future. The cottage was clean and beautifully kept - and larger than we expected too. The hosts have thought of everything, and they are super responsive if you have any questions. I would recommend this cottage to everyone!

This might be one of the best properties we have ever stayed at. My sister and I had a great time and everything was thoughtfully provided at the cabin in all the right spots - where everything should be. Clear instructions and area brochures were left for renters too! We were so close to the water, I was amazed. It was just perfect in every way.

Property was just like description with some extra amenities like a crock pot which we used after a long day of ice fishing. House sits right on lake and snow was cleared before arrival. Really impressed with the responsiveness and helpfulness of the owners makes us want to come back year after yea!

Great Family Trip

Cozy cottage is "cozy" as would be expected for a cottage but still had enough room for the 4 of us. I appreciated all the kitchen supplies and paper products, as well as beach toys and kayak. It was stocked with all kinds of little things that you might need...we lost power for a few hours due to a storm and I was glad I found a flashlight. The decor was unique, I enjoyed it.The water was clear and mostly sandy. Enjoyed just sitting on the deck with my coffee, enjoying the view. Thanks for sharing the place with us.

Peaceful and Relaxing!

This property was perfect to relax and unwind from a hectic spring for me, my husband, and our grad school daughter. Location is excellent for days trips but the cottage was so nice we opted for several "go nowhere" days and skipped some sights. We never even turned on any of the TVs. Just listened to the waves, watched sunsets, went kayaking,read and watched stars. The hosts have so many thoughtful touches and supplies- I have never been to a vacation home so well supplied. We didn't need to bring half the stuff we did because they already had thought of it for you! We loved the little touches like the hummingbird feeder and so many hooks to keep your stuff organized! Furniture was very comfortable! Wish it was closer to us for we would go every year!
