Welcome to Round Lake Retreat on beautiful North "Round" Manistique Lake!
- 1700 acre all sports/ spring fed lake
- 2000 Sq Ft (ranch) Cottage (3 bedroom/ 2 full bathroom)
- Open Floor Plan: Over 900 sq. feet of the cabin is open to the water/ wall of windows for spectacular views of the lake!
- 7 total beds
- 4 x11ft island that seats 10 people comfortably. The Great Room has comfortable chairs and couches to seat 9 adults.
- Fully stocked Kitchen to allow ease of meal preparation
- Starlink high-speed WIFI internet (run all of your connected devices/ VPN with ease)
- Large Samsung Smart TV for Connectivity / Streaming
- Dedicated workspace in master suite
- Bath towels and bed linens are provided
- Large Washer and dryer available for guest use
- Large Propane Grill / Gas provided for customer use
- Owner is local to address any concerns (if they arise) during your stay.

The home has a large dehumidifier and a whole home fan to keep the living spaces cool and comfortable in the summer months.
Jump in the crystal clear (spring fed) lake, or enjoy the many beautiful attractions of the UP. This property is located in the heart of all the popular destinations in the Eastern UP. (under 1 hour drive)
- Fire pit and campfire wood are provided
- 2 kayaks (12 and 14 ft) and oars available for guests
- Private dock
- Private Beach (Just a few steps from the house / exceptional ease of lake access)

Winter: Ride directly to the snowmobile trials:
- 10 min to McMillan corner (Trail #498)
- 12 min to Trail #43 towards Seney
Plenty of space to park trucks and trailers, and a car port to store your snowmobiles at night. This property is located on a private road. Snowplowing is included in the rental price. Ample space to hang snowmobile gear/ helmets.

Beautiful house, great owner

Chris, the owner of this house goes above and beyond to make sure everything goes perfectly. The house is very well kept, great location, and he makes sure you have everything you need to have a good stay. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean house to stay in with an owner who takes pride in his stuff. Thank you again Chris, we will be back

Winter Wonderland

So grateful for Round Lake Retreat! He helped us out in a pinch and the property is amazing. It was a snowmobilers dream. My kids loved the atmosphere and were so comfortable there. Looking forwards to more winter trips to this location!

Great location for a family vacation.

The Round lake retreat had everything you need for an awesome family getaway. Sandy shallow lake entry, perfect for swimming. Close to many of the Upper Peninsula attractions.

Great vacation spot

This was a wonderful vacation spot. Clean and tidy home with all the amenities we needed. The lake is beautiful as well as the surrounding countryside. The owner communicated well with us. The home is centrally located to many of the attractions the U.P. has to offer.

Beautiful UP vacation

This home is EXACTLY as described and the property owner is available with any questions you may have, at any time. The property is situated just right to get to the most popular attractions in the eastern UP! We took in Whitefish Point, Grand Marias, Paradise, Upper & Lower Tahquamenon Falls... and still had time to just relax and enjoy the amazing, beautiful home and lake! We will definitely be back!

Awesome property

What an awesome place to stay! The house has a large commons area with plenty of sleeping space. We loved the seclusion and quietness while enjoying camp fires in the evening. Chris is an excellent host and was very responsive and available.

Perfect hidden gem!

The moment we pulled up, we knew we found our perfect place. The home is very well maintained, smelled great, very clean and stunning views. Chris was so amazing. Any questions we had about the home or the area, he was very quick to respond - extremely kind and helpful. We can't wait to book again and bring our families this time - but we'll still have this as our annual girls' trip home away from home! Thank you so much, Chris. You went above & beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and that our trip was perfect!

Fall Getaway

We were looking for a quick getaway for a few nights before it started to get too cold. This property was perfect and provided all of the comforts of home along with a beautiful lake. This area is near many of the UP attractions so there is plenty to do or you can just hang out at the house. It was very well cared for and as described in the listing and the host was available and helpful during our stay. Would definitely return to this house.

A great family cabin

Property is very clean and well stocked. Easy communication with host. Beds are comfy and its very relaxing! The only thing that would have been awesome was if the front room windows had screens. Its a beautiful view though!

Round Lake Gem!!!

We loved the open floor plan, it was great for families to eat and hang out. Loved the LargeTable/Bar for meals. The Kitchen is well-appointed and stocked with necessities for cooking at home. The home has a great “UP Cabin Vibe”. Absolutely loved the wall of windows facing the lake. The home is nestled on a quiet area of lake. Christmas lights in the tree are a big help when returning from evening boat ride. Star Link Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. Nice lush lawn and sandy beach area was great for resting in the sun. Nice Propane Grill for grilling. Water is delicious from tap and brought me back to childhood memories, it was the taste of home. Separate Showers and baths are nice. Glad to have towels and linens provided!!!! I would definitely stay again.

UP fun

Clean and comfortable home on the lake! It was peaceful and seemed remote but was about an hour away from many popular UP destinations. My family especially loved Picture Rocks and all the nearby lighthouses. After sightseeing, kayaks on the lake and s’mores around the fire pit were perfect. Chris is a great host and you won’t regret booking his retreat.

UP Vacation

What a fantastic place to stay ! Chris was always available via text or phone promptly answering our questions before and during our stay. Our group has been coming to the UP to snowmobile for over 30 years and this was by far the nicest place we've ever stayed. Beautiful & well kept, the kitchen, Island & living room overlooking the lake and the 2 spacious full baths were perfect for a large group. I highly recommend staying here. I can only imagine a summer stay must be even better. Thanks Chris

Great Cabin for Family Gathering

This is a great cabin! Very clean & comfortable. We enjoyed the beautiful sunrises and sunsets while sitting by the fire pit. Highly recommend staying here we hope to return again.

As a Michigan native, I have grown up around family cottages, lakes and snowmobiling. Nothing beats the time where I can say "I'm heading UP North" I am local to the property, and I'm available to support you during the duration of your stay.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I have been lodging in the UP for winter and summer vacations for the better part of 20 years. With this experience in mind, I am opening up my property for others to enjoy. The Manistique lakes system is very unique, and is predominantly a "Mom and Pop" community that thrives on summer and winter tourism. Local business owners are accommodating and helpful. Time slows down, and this lake is very peaceful place to end the day. Most of the major eastern UP attractions are a quick drive (under 1 hour) to make day trips. The 12 foot vaulted ceiling in the Great Room provides a perfect way to unwind and relax.

The Manistique lakes system offers excellent seasonal opportunities for anglers. (Several DNR launch areas on all three lakes) Make sure to watch out for the Eagles doing some fishing of their own, and enjoy the sound of the Loons in the summertime. The large kitchen island will be the gathering place for late night card/ board games just in case the weather doesn't want to cooperate.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The sun will be over the lake all day long, and the view from the Great Room is spectacular! Over 950 sq feet of open space faces the lake. The master bathroom is the only space that does not open up to a lake view. The moon rise in the summer will guide you out to the fire pit without having the need for a light. Round Lake is very unique, as it is a spring fed lake. The water is crystal clear and shimmers in the summer sun. The well on the property sits on one of the springs feeding the lake. Uncommon to most lake cottages: the well water is free of iron and only passes through the refrigerator filter to drink. You will not need to tote cases of water with you to the UP!
