This was our second stay at the property and it did not disappoint us. Our host was wonderful and gave quick and helpful responses and recommendations. The apartment itself was clean and one of the best eqipped we've ever stayed in. It is comfortable and tastfully decorated. Beautiful view from the balcony too.
Great location 3 minute walk to village centre boulangerie, shops, tourist office, restaurants and children's play area (up to age 14). Short 5 minute drive to La Clusaz. A bigger alpine town, with lots of activities to do & ,chairlifts/cable cars for walking and cycling at altitude. We bought the Experience Pass this time which gave unlimited access to many of the activites and the chairlift/cable cars, which we felt it was more economical for us.
Would highly recommend the apartment, hope to be back again sometime soon.
We had a very comfortable and homely stay. The apartment met all our needs. We came to go skiing in La Clusaz and used the ski bus which was a 5 min easy walk. The ski bus took approx 5 mins and then it was another easy 5 min walk to the slopes. If driving to La Clusaz there was a lot of traffic and on the way out there can sometimes be traffic ques if leaving later than 5pm. It's quite a busy road in and out so the bus was definitely the best option. There is a great bakery literary across the road and a fruit and veg shop too. There is a Carrefour 5 min walk away. We found eating out a little expensive and eating out on the mountain expensive so we mostly cooked in at night and took supplies from the bakery for lunch up the mountain. The apartment was so nice that we didn't mind this. We went swimming and nitd if you take your ski pass you will get one free entry. The sauna was a bargain for 5 euros.
A truly beautiful apartment thatâs ideally located
We enjoyed a fabulous week in St Jean de Sixt at this impeccably finished apartment with a fabulous view. Not only was the decor top notch but the finish was superb throughout. The enormous windows let in huge amounts of light and, facing south and west, gave a stunning view of the sunset each evening. The balcony is huge, there are three good-sized bedrooms and a lovely bathroom with heated towel rail. The kitchen is well equipped, and thereâs a raclette machine, fondue set, tabletop grill and a cupboard full of board games. The chalet has just been renovated so was immaculate throughout and beautifully furnished with lots of high-end touches. An excellent boulangerie is situated just across the road, and the villageâs excellent array of shops are a five-minute walk down the road. La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand are a 10-minute drive away if you want to ski; we stayed at home a couple of days, though, just because the apartment was so wonderful. Coraline, the chalet manager, was very helpful and made our arrival and departure as smooth as could be. Frankly, we donât think we could have found a better place for our first post-pandemic ski holiday and intend to return as soon as we can!
