The Preserve Resort is an exclusive community on the quiet side of the Smoky Mountains but conveniently located a short drive from all the attractions. Honeysuckle Meadows Pool and Deli is at the base of the mountain, where you can swim through Labor Day weekend, fish (year-round), and enjoy a great meal.
Our 2100 sq. ft. cabin sleeps up to 12 guests if you use the teen loft on the upper level. Two guests will sleep on the loft floor mattresses. As seen in the pictures of the top floor, you must climb a ladder to the teen loft.
The kitchen has all the necessary appliances, including a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, Keurig, standard coffee maker, and coffee press. We provide a starter supply of Keurig cups, ground coffee, sugar, creamer cups, and Splenda.
While you can enjoy your stay without leaving the resort, endless fun and adventure opportunities are nearby! Townsend is just 10 miles away and has an entrance to Cade's Cove, part of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It's famous for outdoor adventures like zip lines, riding stables, trout fishing, hiking, and tubing. In Townsend, you will also find restaurants, antique shops, and gift stores. Wears Valley is even closer and offers cute and quirky shopping and dining experiences.
About 15 miles from the cabin down Wears Valley Road are Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. You will find Dollywood and The Island, two of our favorite spots! The Island has shopping and great restaurants like Paula Deen's Family Kitchen and Margaritaville. And remember to ride the giant Ferris wheel! If you like country cooking, eat at the Old Mill in Pigeon Forge. For something closer, at the bottom of the mountain, turn right and go to Elvira's for breakfast or lunch.
You can drive through Pigeon Forge to Gatlinburg or take a shortcut from the cabin through the beautiful National Park and bypass a lot of traffic! There, you will find LOTS of restaurants, shopping, arts, and entertainment like Ripley's Believe it or Not, Annakeesta, and Ober Gatlinburg (formerly Ober Mountain). It's a great place in summer and winter to hang out with your kids. Get the wristband and enjoy all the rides, including bumper cars, a mountain coaster, a rock-climbing wall, a small zoo, and even the tram down the mountain to Gatlinburg strip. There is a parking fee, but it's cheaper than parking in Gatlinburg.
