The Space:

Addisons Baroon Pocket is a 100-year-old renovated 3 bedroom and two bathroom Queenslander set high in the rainforest treetops overlooking a spring-fed dam and 8 acres of nature, perfect for couples, families, visiting wedding guests and women’s getaways. Enjoy village shopping in Montville, nearby wineries and national park walks. Air-conditioned for summer, wood fire for cosy winters, with claw-foot bath, ensuite, heated plunge pool, outdoor fire pit. Each bedroom has a queen bed with one bedroom having a single sofa bed suitable for a child. Hotel-quality linen included. No Schoolies.



Guest Access:

Guests enjoy exclusive access to the cottage, private heated plunge pool and immediate surrounding grounds. The pool is set below the house on its own elevated deck, creating a peaceful, spacious area to relax, swim and unwind in total privacy.



While Addison’s Baroon Pocket is completely self-contained with no shared facilities, the wider property also hosts Addison’s Montville on the far side with its own separate entrance and access. Your privacy is always maintained.



The Neighborhood:

Montville shares elements of its surrounding hinterland villages, like Maleny and Mapleton, but has a character all its own, with its quaint European architecture. First settled in 1887, it has grown into a thriving shopping village with a wonderful array of quality art galleries, stylish cafes and restaurants, gift shops and beautiful fashion stores, set in the picturesque surroundings of a shady tree-lined street with incredible views all the way down to the coast.

The property enjoys a central location only minutes from the township, its restaurants and galleries, and is ideally located between the famous Secrets on the Lake cafe and gallery and Flame Hill Winery. For those more in tune with nature, Addison's is only a few minutes walk from the Sunshine Coast’s natural beauty of the Great Walk through the Blackall Range. Experience some of the range’s most scenic areas: warm subtropical rainforest, tall open eucalypt forest and picturesque waterfalls.



Getting Around:

There is ample parking on site and having your own vehicle will be beneficial to enjoy all the hinterland and the sunshine coast can offer. The area is also serviced by a suitable taxi service, and courtesy transport is offered from some of the restaurants within the area.



Other Things to Note:

The single sofa bed is made up on request with an additional charge. Please let us know at time of booking.



Your comfort and wellbeing are important to us. Our home is professionally cleaned using hospital-grade disinfectant with strict attention to all high-touch surfaces including light switches, handles and remotes. We also provide beautiful, hotel-quality linen through a professional laundering service that meets the highest Australian heat and sanitisation standards.



We welcome well-behaved pets and love that they get to enjoy holidays too! If you plan to bring a pet, please let us know before booking what type of pet you’ll be travelling with. To help keep the home lovely for everyone, we kindly ask that pets are kept off furniture, cleaned up after, and not allowed in the pool. Additional cleaning or damage caused by pets may incur a fee.



Interaction with Guests:

Guests have access to the whole home and 8 acres of rainforest. The pool is situated below the house on its own deck to allow guests to spread out.

While Addison's Baroon Pocket guests will not interact with any other guests it is important to note that the property also accommodates Addison's Montville on the other side of the property with its own 8 acres of gardens and its own driveway access.
