The Space:
This thoughtfully designed home combines raw texture with warm tones â polished concrete underfoot, leather, linen, and old-brass tapware that adds a touch of vintage craftsmanship.
Mornings here are for slow starts: soft light filtering through the tall glass windows, coffee in hand, planning your day in the quiet courtyard. Wander just a few minutes down the street to some of Adelaideâs best cafĂ©s for a perfectly brewed flat white, or stroll to Gouger Street for dinner among the cityâs buzzing laneways â Japanese, Italian, or modern Australian, all within walking distance.
Back home, the open living area is made for unwinding. Sink into the deep leather sofa by the fire, pour a glass of red, and let the city hum fade away. In summer, slide open the glass doors and let the evening breeze in, or light the fire pit outside for a nightcap under the stars.
Up to three guests can make themselves at home here, with a main bedroom featuring a plush queen bed and ensuite, plus a compact second room with a small double sofa bed. Both bathrooms are sleek and modern â the main with a shower-over-bath, perfect for a soak after exploring the city.

- 1 x King bedroom with ensuite, ceiling fan, reverse cycle airconditioning and built-in storage
- 2nd bedroom/study with a small double sofa bed (only suitable for one adult or child)

- Main bathroom with bathtub and shower overhead, and bonus washing machine.
- Open-plan living area with combustion fireplace, Smart TV, and large glass doors opening to the huge courtyard
- Full modern kitchen with dishwasher, oven, stovetop, microwave and generous bench space

Guest Access:
Guests have private access to the entire property, courtyard and carport parking space. Entry is through a gated laneway with manual gate access to the undercover carport. Self check-in for convenience.

Situated in Adelaideâs western city pocket, The Foundry on McLaren offers a rare mix of quiet seclusion and unbeatable proximity. Within minutes you can walk to Gouger Streetâs restaurants, the Central Market, or the parklands. Local cafĂ©s, bars, and laneway eateries line the nearby streets â perfect for your morning coffee run or a relaxed dinner out.
Getting Around:
Walk to Central Market & Gouger Street dining (approximately 20 mins walk or 7 mins by car)
Easy access to public transport along Whitmore Square & West Terrace
Approx. 15-20 min drive to Adelaide Airport
1 x off-street gated parking space provided
Other Things to Note:
- Combustion Fireplace and outdoor fire pit available for guest use (starter wood supplied).
- If youâd like use of the sofa bed and bedding, please let us know at least asap prior to your arrival so we can have it ready for you. The Sofabed will either be fully made up (time permitting), or alternatively, weâll provide access to the bedding for guests to make up yourself upon arrival. **Please note: If you have already booked for 3 guests, the sofabed fee is automatically included in your booking total. An additional fee will otherwise apply when sofabed is requested for 2 guests only.
- Children not recommended due to polished concrete floors and fire features.
- No parties, pets, or smoking permitted.
- Bin Collection: We have a bin contractor who needs to have access to the bins via the courtyard gate. They will put the bins out on a Monday or Tuesday ready for collection. Please make sure to leave enough space for the contractor to get through the gate If you prefer them not to access during your stay, you can choose to leave the bins outside the gate on Sunday evening.
For extended stays over 21+ nights, mid-stay servicing is required for the upkeep of the property. We will notify you if and when this is due to occur.
