We stayed 4 nights at Harriett's Cottage. Overall it was a pleasant experience. The location was great and check-in and checkout was very smooth. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that we had ants coming from a crack in the floor in the kitchen and the air con in the bedrooms wasn't as good as I had hoped (they work, just not to my personal preferences)
We hired the cottage for a family with two adult children from overseas. The cottage was impeccably clean with everything in working order. Organising the stay was very easy, and the family were delighted with the location and having their own space and independence. First time we've used Stayz, but will surely not be the last.
Very comfortable house with everything you need plus lots of extras. Air conditioners in every room. Great location with plenty of eating places within easy walking. Adelaide Free bus stop at end of lane.
Cute little house, conveniently located made trips around town quick and easy, as no parking out front do have to find a park in surrounding streets, though this wasn't much of a problem, just need to be aware of parking in the right zone.Did have an issue with the notification I received after booking and paying in full that there was a requirement to take a photo of myself holding my ID and uploading that to a 3rd party site, saying if you didn't do it your booking would be cancelled. This was not stated as a criteria on the information provided about the cottage and I have never come across this requirement on any previous bookings, I don't think I would have booked if I had known prior.I was uncomfortable about doing it and emailed the agent asking for an alternative way to provide ID and this was finally arrange but the response time was very slow and on the evening before received a email saying as I hadn't done the photo ID thing the booking would be cancelled even though an alternative had been arranged, which was stressful. It was resolved in the end but it did put a damper on the holiday process.
Our week long stay was very comfortable and relaxing. Good laundry and kitchen facilities and great beds. When the electric kettle leaked badly on the first night, I contacted the host and a new one was delivered next morning. Great service. Buses and trams are within easy walking distance as is Rundle Mall.Be aware that parking is restricted, we had to make alternative arrangements for 1of our 2 cars.
This is a creaky but charming small cottage in the heart of Adelaide. Everything we needed for our stay while we explored the city and surrounds. Would come back.
Beautiful little house, loved our stay. Only issue we had was the squeaky hall way. Great communication from the owners. Will definitely stay again when back in Adelaide
