Well stocked home in convenient location a short walk to the beach. View of ocean from balcony. House clean , good beds and very responsive owner. Nice amenities also a short walk from house. Really nice community pool and club house. I messaged owner for check out instructions and the response was âWe will take care of all the cleaning, just enjoy your stay.â Thank you Zen!
The house needs a major clean up. Lots of things need repair. Kitchen Cabinet doors have peeling paint and will not stay shut. Refrigerator ice dispenser was filthy and the kitchen is unorganized. Oven has a broken knob/burner and oven light does not work. Top floor bedroom has broken drawers in the dresser and no hot water at the sink. At ground level: the dryers electrical connection is not to code and all 3 fire extinguishers are laying on the ground. Bicycles are unusable. Yard was full of litter. 2nd floor HVAC fan runs all the time and will not achieve set temperature. Windows were all filthy. Outside of house needs to be repainted.
This house was only steps to a quiet and very isolated beach! The house had everything we could have needed and the owner was very pleasant to work with!
This property was well stocked with beach chairs, extra linens, towels, and plenty of places to sleep. It also has several bikes to use on the paths. The kitchen was also well-stocked. It has a nice view of the gulf and is convenient to the the clubhouse. The property manager was very responsive and communicative. The blinds and upstairs windows needs some cleaning, but everything else was tidy inside.
With the rare occasion of our entire family being together, we use the opportunity to get married on the beach. We both grew up vacationing on. It was a perfect backdrop and a beautiful blending of two families.
We had a great time at this house. The 2nd floor with 2 bedrooms,2 1/2 baths, and a living room area (needs a TV) was great for the 4 teenagers we had with us. The master is on the 3rd floor with a living room and kitchen. VERY spacious area, with a nice porch that expands the whole house. Plenty of amenities (paper towels, toilet paper, foil, countertop cleaner, coffee filters, dish soap, towels, sheets, beach towels, etc. however, bring your own chairs, the ones they have need to be replaced), way more than any VRBO I've ever stayed in. The location is great, a short 3-minute walk to the beach and less than 5 to the clubhouse with the pool. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. The property management is fantastic, and very responsive to all my questions. Enjoy!
Itâs a good property and location in the plantation, which is where we wanted to stay, but it could be better with some general updates such a furnishings and fixtures.
Property manager was very accommodating for just the two of us that wouldnât require use of the entire home.
From the deck you can see the ocean, hear the waves, and feel the breeze. The beds are firm and the AC worked well. Both the 2nd and 3rd levels have curtains that can provide privacy if you have people sleeping on the sofa beds. Lots of bath towels and kitchen stuff. Happy to find the beach cart, umbrellas, and chairs which we used on the short walk to the beach. Owner was very responsive to questions and this was easiest check in and check out.
We had a great weekend at the beach. This house is located the SGI plantation so the neighborhood is very quiet which was wonderful. About a 5 minute walk to beach and community pool which was awesome. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of towels for bathing but recommend you bring your own beach towels. They have beach changes and some toys but bring an umbrella or canopy for sun protection. The only down side to the house is the living room furniture. Because it is used as additional sleeping pace it is very uncomfortable to sit on. Otherwise everything was great! Overall would stay here again and recommend this place to others!
We enjoyed our stay on Denise Court. It was really a really easy walk to the beach and pool. The kitchen is well stocked and appliances are new. Lots of refrigerator space. The three bedrooms and baths were perfect for our family. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
This was our second trip to the home. The location canât be beat. We enjoyed biking, hiking, walking, tennis, and the beach. We sat on the decks for hours. Zen is very nice and responsive. Looking forward to our next trip!
We had a great time in St George. House is well stocked for cooking and owner is very responsive and easy to work with. It was our 2nd time staying in this house and it was a great vacation again.
Thanks!
I wasn't originally going to leave a review, but the owner continues to dispute the events - even though he was a participant. Part of our group arrived 15 minutes ahead of check -in to find friends of the owner outside. They were supposed to go fishing with Zen, but said they came over to help him since the cleaners failed to show up.
To make this short, I have contacted VRBO Properties in reference to the problems we encountered. We were the unfortunate recipients of a stay during a failed/disputed cleaning company contract with the property owner. The cleaning company responded to us to let us know "we spent a great deal of time over 3 hours just doing the surface." When our family arrived 45m later we found the owner, Zen, Swiffering upstairs. My family took the day of arrival & the next morning to make the house safe for us to inhabit with a twenty-month-old. We threw away the food in the fridge, cleaned the kitchen, threw away the sponges from the previous renters. The vent hood was covered in grease/grime. I had to scrub the tub before we could bath our grandson.
Zen was there long enough for the battery to run out on my Swiffer, find the extra & show me how to recharge his cleaning equipment. He went outside to clean the grill and we never saw him again. We found the bottle of grill cleaner and rags on the ground by the grill....
Waiting for the batteries to recharge; we went to dinner. We came back and found we could only watch TBS. There were no other channels to view. We reached out and messaged about the tv and the cleanliness issues that evening. The bikes should not be listed, trust me. Be aware of the carpenter ants, be wary of the stairs outside. Property was not to cleanliness standards listed or COVID ready.
The next morning I found the Rain-x squeegees, Windex and paper towels - we then cleaned the 6 sets of sliding glass doors so we could see the beach/water. Zen happily provided me the review from folks after our stay. Glad they thought we did a great job cleaning. We have been vacationing at St. George Island and The Plantation for 21+ years and have NEVER had a problem with a property.
Zen polled his fishing buddies and said they & he feel "I provided you with a clean house which is as clean as we provided to other guests." No sir, you did not. We have gone back and forth to no avail. ANYTIME a guest has to clean a property; you have failed. My family paid for a vacation and ended up "working to stay.â
Great house near the beach. I timed it and it was truly only a 5 minute walk to the beach and to the pool. They had water aerobics from 9-10 which I enjoyed. The house had everything provided as far as cleaning supplies, hand soap, paper goods, even laundry detergent for the ample supply of linens! Two coffee makers in a fully stocked kitchen but no blender, FYI. They also had a wagon and some beach items that were nice to have. Liked that the stairs were in 4 sections and no carpet. You can easily sleep 10 but needs curtains on the bedroom windows because itâs too bright too early! Definitely had a great stay and we recommend this house!
Our family enjoyed our brief visit very much. The house is functional but only average in furnishings and appearance. One outside porch light was inoperable. There is only one tv on the property. However, the owner supplied an abundance of everything that might be needed and wanted including kitchen and bathroom supplies, blankets, beach equipment, coffee, spices, even a bicycle! The view from 3 rd level was awesome. We would definitely stay there again but were appalled at the fees, which were in total as much as the two night rental fee.
It was awesome secluded enough easy beach access property manager was great quick to respond had answers for all questions / my main concern is the many steps to upper level for older people
