Cozy Autumn Retreat near Kingston

Escape to our beautifully renovated, year-round cottage on a private 2-acre forested lot. In autumn, brilliant reds, oranges, and golds surround you, with breathtaking reflections on Loughborough Lake. Spot deer, herons, beavers, and turtles from the newly built cedar dock, or paddle out in our canoe, kayaks, or paddle boat to enjoy the colours from the water.

Inside, natural light fills the cottage through windows and skylights. A wood stove makes for cozy evenings, while three bedrooms and a screened-in porch provide space to unwind. Cook in the fully equipped kitchen, then gather at the dining table or curl up on the oversized couch with games.

Outdoors, enjoy crisp evenings around the fire pit in Adirondack chairs overlooking the lake, stargazing, and listening to the sounds of nature. Dine on the deck at the expandable teak table.

The cottage comfortably sleeps 8. Two bedrooms with queen beds; another bedroom with a single bed that pulls out to a king (bedroom door doesn’t call when it’s extended); and two single day beds in the living room. A single bed in the screened in porch is a great place to sleep with lots of blankets. For larger groups, ask about our cozy 160 sq ft bunkie with loft that sleeps an additional 4 people.
The cottage offers seclusion yet is just 25 minutes from Kingston, 35 from Westport, and 20 from Frontenac Park. Nearby, enjoy hiking at Elbow Lake Nature Reserve or the K&P Trail, live music at Creekside Bar and Grill, or local favourites like The Cookery in Inverary, Informal Feed Co., and Mrs. Garrett’s Bakery.

The bay is shallow—great for fishing and paddling but not swimming. Deeper water for swimming and boating is just beyond the bay, with crown islands and Davidson’s Beach accessible by boat.
