Lakes Mini Break

The property was perfect for our stay. We had driven from Niagara and was greeted by the owner who was warm, friendly and welcoming. Comfortable bedrooms, spacious living spaces, excellently equipped kitchen and outdoor facilities. The location was central enough in the lakes to provide access to other areas. Conveniently located near shops within ten minutes. Quiet, scenic and very comfortable. Would stay again.

A beautiful place!

We were a group of friends who got together to celebrate two birthdays. This cottage was perfect. It is secluded and surrounded by trees. It is well equipped for the kitchen, bedding, towels and beds. The terrace is beautiful with garden furniture and a bbq. The basement is perfect for relaxing. What can we say about our host, Dwayne? Kind, attentive, he is very quick to answer our questions. We thank him for the welcome. We will definitely return.

Family vacation

Thank you Dwayne for sharing your lovely house. We all loved sitting out on the huge decks and enjoying the peace and quiet. Only issue the house is not handicap accessible. Otherwise loved it We traveled the area and the many locks, we could have spent all of our time there watching the process. My daughter-in-law even had a chance to turn the wheel to open the lock for the boats.

Great Place

My wife and I plus 3 grandkids were here for a week. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There was a nature preserve down the road with a 2.8 km hiking trail, helped tired the kids out. Westport, a town close by, had a really nice beach. The cabin had everything we needed. Dwayne was great to deal, would definitely stay here again.

Great Stay

We stayed at this lovely property July 20 - 27. The cottage was clean, spacious, and tasteful. The host met us at the property to give us a tour and extra information about the cottage. Check-in was very smooth. Everything we needed was provided - even wood for the campfires! The cottage was very peaceful and serene. Would definitely recommend to others. serene. The outside deck

Exactly what was expected!

Every picture shown for this property matched the property exactly. It was clean and had everything you could want from kitchen items to towels to bedding. Every accommodation was available and even some extra helpful tools. The host is wonderful! Dwayne made sure we had all the information we needed, greeted us, made sure we knew what was near the house and was available if we needed anything. This house was quiet. Well equipped to handle any needs. Clean and well taken care of. It was a wonderful cottage to stay in.

Excellent return visit

This was our second time staying here. The place was super clean and well stocked to meet our needs. We spent lots of time on the porch listening to the birds and later spotted a deer on the property. Lots of fireflies too! We will be returning.

Rideau Lakes Log Cabin

This house is new and has top of line appliances. Our flight was delayed and we did not get to the Cabin until 2:00 in the morning and I text Dwayne and he said no problem and told me to text him 30 min out. He was there waiting on us and gave me a thorough explanation on the cabin. When I booked the cabin he had all 5 star ratings and now I know why. My family loved this cabin beautiful location.

Lovely Cottage Home in Nature

We had a group of six friends staying at this lovely cottage and we had a great time. The area in the cottage is quite secluded, but there is room to relax at the fire pit or out on the deck. The cottage has many spots to relax, lots of games to play, and the kitchen is well equipped to make any meal you need. Can't wait to come back!

Unforgettable Christmas

It was the most unbelievable place we could have had to spend Christmas as a family. Beautiful, clean, cozy, comfortable, and sorrounded by nature. The cabin is brand new, stunning, just as the pictures show. Every single corner is a reflection of the love and care that the owner, Dwayne, puts into it. He is also an incredible host, always responding to my questions promptly after I booked the place, offering to have a Christmas tree for us, welcoming us at our arrival, showing us around, making sure we felt at home, checking on us during our stay, and coming to say good bye. We were lucky with the weather for this time of the year, so we spent time outdoors using the firepit, the BBQ, going for walks, and even went to the town close by to check it out. We were surprised by the variety in the supermarket. I recommend this cabin to anyone that wants to break the routine, have a peaceful time and connect with nature. Cant wait to come back in another season to enjoy the beautiful deck. Thank you Dwayne for an unforgettable Christmas at your cabin.

Family trip

We were two families with small children that met up at this cottage for an annual Thanksgiving family trip. Dwayne was incredibly accommodating when we needed to reschedule. He was very communicative throughout, reaching out and facilitating outings we wanted to take (a canoe trip with the kids - he called around to local business for us). He even picked up extra supplies we requested! At check in time, he met us at the property and gave us a full tour. He was very accommodating to our requests for traveling with small kids. The property was brand new, very clean and very well situated. All the appliances are brand new, the bedrooms were well designed and very comfortable. We went on hikes daily, and passed our afternoons barbecuing, roasting s’mores and hot dogs, and jusy playing the various board games left at the property. Can’t wait to be back!

Great getaway place

We loved the location of the cottage - being on the main floor felt like sitting in the treetops; very peaceful. The cottage itself was spotless and very well equipped- home away from home. Everyone loved the campfire, with the firewood already provided! Dwayne was an amazing host and truly attentive to our needs - we felt truly spoiled!

Dwayne was there to meet us and explain all the amenities. I and my two adult daughters had a wonderful, restful weekend. The beds were comfortable, the linens were new and fresh, and the setting was all that we needed in this newly built cabin. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway in the midst of the woods.

Dream House Getaway

This house is so beautiful. Very well located for exploring the Thousand Islands. Everything is perfect, a space in the forest, very well equipped for a group stay, the energy is excellent, we all slept very well. And close to an excellent restaurant, for those who want a good meal outside. The owner is very welcoming and kind, which helped give him a 10/10 rating. We highly recommend this location, for a group of up to 8 people, we were 5 to fully enjoy the beauty of the place and the newly built house. / Cette maison est tellement belle. Très bien située pour découvrir les alentours des Mille-Iles. Tout est parfait, un espace en forêt, très bien équipée pour un séjour de groupe, l’énergie est excellente, nous avons tous très bien dormi. Et à proximité d’un excellent restaurant, pour ceux qui veulent un repas à l’extérieur. Le propriétaire est très accueillant, d’une grande gentillesse, ce qui a contribué à lui donné un 10/10. Nous recommandons fortement cet emplacement, pour un groupe allant jusqu’à 8 personnes, nous étions 5 pour profiter pleinement de la beauté de l’endroit et de la maison nouvellement construite. The cottage was so well designed with enough bathrooms and bedrooms to allow us for a comfortable stay. The host was very communicative and gave us a tour, answered all our questions and knew where things were in the vicinity in case we needed to access anything. My favourite part was every time I thought I needed a specific utensil in the kitchen and it wouldn’t be there, it was!! The host clearly thought of everything!

Amazing place amazing host

The moment we walked in the place we were in awe of how beautiful Dwayne’s cottage is! We could tell that he put so much love in this place and want people to love it as much as he does. We spent time in every corner of this place and loved every single bit of it. The cottage is super clean and modern but also very very cozy. It has all the amenities you can ask for. Dwayne is also such a lovely host who came greeted us both check in and check out. He gave us so much information not just about the cottage but the areas around. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful summer stay.

I booked this beautiful property for my family to get away from the city and reconnect. We absolutely loved it. The space was clean and nicely equipped. Especially the kitchen, its important to us as we do cook quite a bit. The property is private and very quiet, just a short drive to cute little towns and Gananoque. The bunkbed is noisy/squeaky but all other beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend this property.

What an amazing property!! The pictures do not do it justice.. it's so cozy and inviting; the owner has included so many little touches to make it truly feel lile a home away from home. The location is so peaceful and close to nature; there was a doe and her fawn right outsdie our window one morning and we could hear coyotes in the distance at night. The home is brand new and spotless! All the rooms are well equipped and very comfortable. We loved our stay and will definitely plan to go back again! The owner, Dwayne, has truly created a gem and was so helpful and easy to contact.. one of the best places we have ever stayed.

Our family loves spending time there and we wanted to give others the opportunity to to do the same.
When guests come to stay and they enjoy the time there we know we have shared something special with others.

The Rideau Lakes area is beautiful with so much to offer, the many lakes and
the peaceful rural area it's a great place to escape to and enjoy.
So much to do and see and if you just want to relax there is peace and quiet as well, this area has it all.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Our cottage/log home built in 2021 is located in a quiet forested area near the Rideau Lakes. The cottage sits high on a hill looking into the trees.
This is a very peaceful and quiet location, where you can spend time with family far away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Lounge on the 38'x10'deck and the12'x12' covered porch where you can sit and enjoy the sound of the birds and watch the deer that frequent the property.
Inside the cottage is a comfortable living space with well equipped kitchen & dining area, 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms gives up to 8 guests plenty of space.
If you like to explore there are plenty of small towns near by with quaint shops and easy walking, also plenty of lakes to launch a boat and hiking trails for the casual or experienced hikers. Groceries, drug store and LCBO within 5 min drive.
The area has some great food available from local takeout restaurants to fine dining and local winery's.
A short 30 min drive to Gananoque and the 1000 islands and Casino,
40 min to Kingston, 90 min to Ottawa. makes this a great location.
The fall and winter is a wonderful time of year to be at the cottage the beautiful scenery with the leaves turning or the snow on the trees is spectacular.
Snowmobile the Cataraqui trail, 5 min from the cottage or go ice fishing on one of the many lakes in the area.
It's your choice to rest and relax, make some food to enjoy with family and friends, or go and explore, you can do it all at Jackson's Ridge.
