This 3 bedroom vacation rental home offers en-suite bathrooms and all the comforts of home for up to 6 guests including children.

CedarView House is in a quiet residential area. We have a strictly enforced no groups, parties or late night noise policy.

NOT available for "Special Events" (Weddings, Receptions, Parties, Stags, Stag(ettes), Reunions etc.)

Owner lives in suite above the main house. CedarView guests have private entrance and parking.

Great Stay at a beautiful property

My family and I had a wonderful stay. What a beautiful property! We loved the hot tub, sauna and firepit. All the beds were clean and comfy and we appreciated having the open kitchen/family room to hangout together. 3 bathrooms was a bonus! It looks out onto some beautiful mountains where you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee on the deck and its right across the road from the beautiful chesterman beach. We will be back!

Perfect place for a family reunion

A well-located, easy-to-find a home with all you need for 3 couples to enjoy time together. The private bedrooms with bathrooms is terrific and the rest of the space is common area. The kitchen is well equipped, everything in working order, and any questions we had were promptly answered. The only thing that surprised us is you actually can't walk onto the beach, but that's ok as the entire area is full of beaches. The view from the hot tub is amazing, especially as the tide comes in and out. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful House and Property in a Great Location

I travelled with my husband and adult children (my son, daughter and her boyfriend). We were very impressed with the house and property. The house has a great table that can easily sit 8 people. The bedrooms all have their own bathroom with showers and the living room has lots of seating with a view of the inlet. The hot tub sits at the end of the deck overlooking the inlet - you can't beat the view! At night the tall trees get misty - it's a great experience. Driving into Tofino takes about 5 minutes - so very quick. You're also close to very beautiful beaches. If we went back - we would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful House & Location

Property was beautiful - amazing view, great to have hot tub, sauna and fire pit. The house is walking distance to Chesterman beach (no need to pay for parking). Every bedroom had it's own bathroom with shower which was a nice bonus, however, surprised there wasn't any shampoo or conditioner, only a small bar of face soap (the kind in hotels). Not a big deal though, the house is worth it.

The house was nice. Loved the native carvings on the bed. Hot tub was great. We were surprised someone lived upstairs. The Delong coffee/espresso maker didn’t work but they had a French press so our morning coffee was saved. Two showers had curtains 2 inches too short so water got all over the floor. And there was no shampoo or conditioner and a tiny bar of soap so we had to do a shop right away. Other than that it was a nice place to hang out in between adventures. Beds were nice. Great cooking supplies.

Special Visit

This could be a lovely property but needs some TLC. The pictures on line are old and do not reflect the condition of the house. Main bathroom/master was a spa bath but not useable and so old the cleanliness was suspect. The two other shower bathrooms the shower curtains did not reach floor, sink was so slow draining. Blind broken in one bedroom and mouldy. Sitting room/ dining room/ kitchen nice but again very tired.

A perfect place to reconnect as a family

Our stay at Cedarview was just perfect. It was a gorgeous, well-equipped space that felt like home. The beautiful open concept living and dining room made it easy to hang out together, the three seperate bedrooms (and bathrooms) made privacy easy. We had fun sitting around the fire pit one night, and spent a huge amount of time in the broiling-hot hot tub. The kitchen was thoughtfully appointed and not with nasty garage-sale quality pots and pans. We didn't see the owners which was fine, as we knew how to reach them, but my ONLY suggestion for improvement would be to stop by with a personal welcome or a phone call if that isn't possible. Even though we didn't see them, we had to call once with a question about the bbq, and Chris was so friendly and helpful. Really, it was a fabulous place and an amazing time for our family. My kids are 12 and 15 and they loved it too. I know we will be back--soon!

Not as advertised

positives: hot tub and views. Walking distance of South Chesterman beach (15 mins). Negatives: 1. Owner lives upstairs. lots of footstep and toilet flushing noise. 2. EV Charger is shared - owner has 2 EVs so not easily accessible. 3. Sauna - I got carbon monoxide poisoning. I advised the agent who said they'd put a CO monitor in the sauna, but I note the listing has merely been updated to recommend you bring one. I have reached out to Island Health Public Health Medical Officer about this. 4. The property is very tired and has had minimal upkeep. The range hood is broken. Multiple blinds are broken in bedrooms, including the bedroom behind the kitchen where there are automatic lights that go on and off every time someone goes to the upstairs property which shine through a window without a blind. 5. The general feel is of someone who's on the take to maximize the $ from a property in a high worth area, but isn't prepared to invest to make it the luxury property it's allegedly advertised as. There are many better places to rent in Tofino. I'd avoid this one. I presume other reviews are from earlier in its rental time. This is from August 2024.

Great place, bad communication

It was my first time staying at Cedarview. I had high expectations due to all the good reviews and its features such as hot tup, fire place, and sauna. However, I was not able to use any of the above during my stay. I personally think this could have been better if this was communicated. Before the trip, I had couple of questions to ask so I contacted the host. They replied a day after saying that I am not booked for the days I booked two months before I asked the question. I had to reply back with my booking info and, luckily, they found my booking and replied back with an answer, a day later. I had couple more important questions but the reply was always late and I asked to provide a check in instruction and reply was "it should've been provided with booking. I'll send it again." True, eventually found the old email, but the email he said he will provide again is still not in my in box. Mostly importantly, the place is advertised with all the great features, none of which we could use. If there are local restrictions during the stay that is impacting what you are selling your rentals for, let your customers know in advance so that we can make a better decision on choosing where to stay. It almost feels that we got scammed and never got our money's worth. Like I mentioned in the beginning of the review, all these could've been resolved before the stay, just with a better communication and maybe some transperancy. But that maybe might be too much to ask.

The hot tub location was beautiful! We used it for morning coffees and to warm up after surfing. And one evening to watch the full moon rise. It was a highlight of our stay!

Excellent spot! Great view and Quite cozy. We were three couples and it was great to each have our own bathroom. Great amenities (other than the laundry detergent, should be liquid). The men enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. That being said, the place did have a musty smell and could use a proper cleaning. We would stay again!!

Cozy yet spacious

Large comfortably furnished great room with lots of puzzles and games. We enjoyed the hot tub, with its woodland and ocean views. We never heard or saw the upstairs neighbours. A perfect property for families or couples. Nice that all 3 bedrooms were ensuite.
