Existing description: Currently, as of 2/4/2026, our private hot tub is under maintenance. However, fear not! Guests can still enjoy our deluxe Michael Phelps swim spa placed in a serene location between this listing and our adjacent Sunnyday Cottage. For added solitude, the spa area features privacy nets.
For bookings from May 1st to September 30th, we recommend a minimum stay of 3 to 6 nights when booking any weekend night more than three months in advance, and a 2 to 3-night stay if you`re booking less than two months in advance. Single night stays can be accommodated, primarily during weekdays in peak season, and almost always during the off-peak season, although these are subject to approval.
Our property on Campau Lake is a haven of tranquility perfect for families or friends looking to unwind. Along with the hot swim pool spa, we provide opportunities for numerous fun activities like barbecuing on gas grills, indulging in yard games, fishing off the dock, and even partaking in a house escape challenge. All these amenities are placed strategically around the compound to maximize your enjoyment.
Indeed, the Sunnyday Cottage is much more than just a holiday stay â it`s an experience. In addition to exciting recreational offerings, you can take advantage of discounted services from DADDS Magic Bus and Limo, which will allow you to explore the lakefront and beyond. Key amenities include grills, fire pits, a fully-equipped game room featuring pool and foosball tables, as well as possible future additions such as extra living spaces and bedroom/bathroom expansions.
Our cottage, nestled at the end of a peaceful cul-de-sac, offers a serene lakeside view with easy access to the lake for kayaking or beach volleyball. Moreover, we offer roundtrip shuttle services to Grand Rapids, MI downtown - for a minimal price.
In terms of food and drink, guests have the option to enjoy a free beer while shopping at the local Campau meat market, and a 15% discount at Mike`s Pizza. And don`t worry if your party increases in size during your stay. We operate under an open-door policy, meaning additional guests can be added at any time. Extra guests will be billed at $25 per night plus a one-time prep clean and linen fee.
We strive to provide a seamless guest experience, and our team is happy to assist you during your stay. We also offer transportation options through our limo services DADDS Magic Bus and Limo or free rides up to 10% of your nightly rate on Uber or Lyft. Details of this will be provided upon request. Pets are welcome, sanctions apply.

1. Booking & Compliance
* Rental Agreement: Must be signed within 3 days of booking. If not signed, payment/check-in constitutes acceptance of all terms.
* Identification: A valid government-issued ID must be submitted via the platform before check-in. Failure to provide ID may result in cancellation without a refund.
* Occupancy: All guests and visitors staying past 9:00 PM are considered overnight guests.
* Fees: $25 per person/night plus a one-time $20 preparation fee per person.
* Open-Door Policy: Final guest counts must be confirmed prior to arrival to ensure accurate billing.
2. Check-In & Check-Out (Early/Late Arrivals)
* Arrival/Departure: Standard times are coordinated via group message with the caretaker.
* Early Arrival/Late Departure: Requests are subject to availability and the following conditions:
* Fees: Rates for early/late access are determined by the caretaker based on cleaning schedules and availability.
* Compliance: Access is granted only if the guest is in full compliance with all house policies. Unauthorized early check-in or late check-out will result in an automatic minimum charge of $100.
* Arrival Review: An arrival review sheet must be completed (via link or hard copy) within 2 hours of check-in. Failure to complete this will result in the reinstatement of any waived fees or a $100 administrative fee.
3. Deposits & Payments
* Damage Deposit: A refundable deposit ($100â$2500 depending on group size) is required via the platform or Cash App prior to access. Damage deposit is that we will charge directly as we have API and are approved to take deposits outside the platform.
* Refunds: Deposits are processed within 14â21 days post-checkout, following a property inspection and submission of your stay review.
* Propane: Tanks are $30 each with a $40 refundable deposit.
4. Property Specifics & Seasonality

* Shared Amenities: Guests have access to kayaks, canoes, boats, beach, docks, and courts. Wood for the fire pit is provided free by the dumpster.
5. Prohibited Activities & Fines
* Smoking: Strictly prohibited indoors. Outside only. Smoking policy in the house $250 fine to run the dionizer and removal of odors.
* Fireworks/Events: STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Violation results in immediate eviction by law enforcement without a refund.
* Equipment Care: Outdoor umbrellas must be closed when not in use. A $50 fine applies for wind damage.
6. Cancellations & Transfers
* Peak Season: Cancellations typically result in a loss of deposit. If the unit is re-rented, a refund (minus a 15â20% re-opening fee) may be issued.
* Transfers: Moving dates or units is treated as a cancellation unless otherwise agreed. Rates may increase based on new dates.
* Insurance: We strongly recommend purchasing 3rd-party travel insurance (e.g., Travel Guard) as our refund policy is firm due to platform limitations.

* The `Behavior` Clause: Instead of saying the rate depends on `obedience,` use: `Early/Late access is a privilege granted at the host`s discretion based on guest communication and adherence to house rules.`
