Great property, great home . The water was perfect for the smaller kiddos. It was great for fishing and swimming. We liked that the beach area had shallow water then got gradually deeper.
We had an awesome time Lake House with our two little families. The property is well kept and a perfect weekend getaway. The lake is beautiful and the sandy beach area is well maintained. Ellie was a super responsive host and made she we had everything we needed! I definitely recommend this spot:)
The whole family (10 people ages 1 -74) enjoyed the property. The lawn is very large and the family enjoyed outdoor games together. The kids enjoyed swimming and building sand castles. The adults and older children enjoyed kayaking and paddleboarding on the lake. The entire group went out on the lake on the pontoon boat. We used the kitchen for most of our meals and there were great sleeping options for everyone. It is a quiet relaxing place to get away.
We had 9 adults, 3 children and 1 baby. There was no crib but we brought our own pack n play. There was a pack n play and bed rail in a closet as well as a high chair. The kids loved the beach and shallow swimming area w raft. We also used the row boat & paddle board. Kayaks were available. Pontoon was old but did some nice cruises and fishing. We enjoyed the large yard for games.Lovely inside but not enough room overall for our adults to sit on couches and sleeping was tight. Our host was lovely. Overall had a great time & made some good memories.
This was the perfect lakefront getaway for our family- we had a local wedding to attend at long lake and it was perfectly positioned. We loved using the beach and the owner thought of every detail!
The place was exactly as described. House was nice, up to date kitchen, plenty of beds.
Beach access was great, nice area to swim, kayak and pontoon boat.
We celebrated a Wedding Shower with our family and had a great time, Ellie was an excellent host! The outdoor patio/pontoon/row boat were all an added bonus.
This property amazed my family and I. It lived up to our expectations. Ellie was very responsive, and very attentive to us when we needed her. The lake was beautiful and clean. My family and I cant wait to come back next year!
The beach, access to the pontoon boat, paddle board, and kayaks was wonderful. The boys learned to fish. They swam. The raft was out from the dock in stand up shallow water which made watching the boys even easier even though they are swimmers.
We used this property for our wedding venue:) The host made everything so easy for us and was easy to communicate with and so friendly! The house had so much character and was a stunning backdrop for our wedding. The yard is huge and our guests enjoyed being on the water! We couldnât have asked for a better location for our wedding! We look forward to staying here again!
Wonderful owner. A few things could be done to improve the stay; the boat really needs some updating. A working ladder, new anchor;( I went out and purchased one) also all the bath towels should be replaced (threadbare old) other than that it really is a relatively nice lake (clean and not too busy)
Great property for our children & grandchildren. Plenty of indoor & outdoor space for large families. Everyone had a great time. Excellent beach area for small children.
We really enjoyed our stay. We cruised the lake on the pontoon boat and caught a lot of pan fish. The water was nice and we did some swimming, wading and boating. Large beautiful backyard. The house was very cozy and met all our needs. Thanks again Ellie and John.
We had 9 adults and 5 children in the house. We had plenty of beds and room for the kids to play. The property is beautiful and they offered plenty of water toys for the entire family to enjoy. The pontoon was a plus!! Ellie was great to work with! I recommend The Lake House! to
Great, Great, Great Grand daughter to original settlers Naomi and Gladeon Briggs; the house is actually two homes. The original home was built in 1857, and the east side of the house was a home located on the north end of Barlow Lake. This house built in 1867 and attached to the original homestead by dragging the structure with a team of horses across the frozen waters of Barlow Lake during a cold January day.
