Nestled along the Icicle River, just half a mile from the Enchantments trailhead, the Icicle Chalet (Permit #000451) is a charming A-frame cabin offering a peaceful escape in the heart of the Cascade Mountains. Tucked beneath the rocky cliffs of Icicle Ridge, this cozy retreat boasts breathtaking, year-round views of Sleeping Lady Mountain, immersing guests in the natural beauty of one of the Pacific Northwest’s most stunning landscapes.

Designed for comfort and adventure, the chalet features a warm and inviting living space with floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing natural light to flood in while showcasing the surrounding mountain ridgeline. A woodstove sits at the heart of the home, perfect for cozy evenings after a day of exploring. The fully stocked kitchen provides everything needed to prepare meals, while the dining area and comfortable seating nooks create a welcoming space to gather and relax. A unique reading nook under the stairs doubles as an additional sleeping space for those seeking a bit of privacy.

The main level includes a private bedroom with a queen bed, as well as a full bathroom equipped with a stackable washer and dryer. Upstairs, the loft offers another queen bed, a futon for extra sleeping space, and an additional powder room. From the loft, guests can step out onto the upper deck, where a private hot tub awaits—the perfect place to unwind under a star-filled sky. In the summer months, an outdoor shower is also available, offering a refreshing way to rinse off after a long hike.

Surrounding the chalet, outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to enjoy. A life-size chess board provides a fun way to engage with friends and family, while rock climbing access is available just steps from the back door. Nearby, some of the region’s best hiking trails, including Icicle Gorge, Eight mile Lake, Stuart and Colchuck Lakes, Snow Lakes, and Icicle Ridge, offer endless opportunities for exploration. In the winter, the area transforms into a playground for Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, and even horse-drawn sleigh rides.

This driveway is easily accessible spring/summer/fall and there are no vehicle restrictions however, winter guests please note below:

FOR WINTER GUESTS: Please be prepared along with your guests who are driving separate for this driveway during winter months as there is a steep/slope grade and when ice/snow are on the ground a 4WD vehicle with traction tires are necessary. We highly recommend carrying chains for all vehicles and guests to use Yak Tracks on their walking boots/shoes.

While we do our best to keep this driveway plowed and sanded, winter conditions can change rapidly and make both access to and from this driveway challenging and we cannot guarantee its condition upon your arrival at any time. We are subject to the subcontractor and the Chelan County plows who service this driveway and our county roads so please pack your patience along with following the recommendations below if you choose to book.
