Great week at the lake

We had a great week staying at this cottage on Cayuga Lake. The house was clean, renter-friendly, and in an ideal location. The house is very dog friendly thanks to the fenced in yard & deck and the nice beach along the lake.

It was so great to be so close to the water and hear the waves crash against the shore. Also the three front sliding glass doors leading to the wrap around front deck were a wonderful feature. Check-in was easy and kitchen was awesome. Could have used some plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Loved the on-suite large bathroom part of the master bedroom. Highly recommend this cottage.

The house was quiet and peaceful. Our only concern was the propane grill was dirty and didn't appear safe, so we never used it. All other features were quite nice.

Great location. Right on the lake. Jetty and beach. Property is in good condition. Everything you need is there. Our dog loved swimming everyday. Quite location. Note 2bmile drive on single track 10mph road to get there. Not a problem, but be aware.

Peaceful time by the lake

You can’t get any closer to the lake unless you are on a boat. From inside the comfortable, well stocked home it DID look like we were on the water.We enjoyed watching beautiful sunsets 3 of the 4 nights of our stay.It was quiet and people were friendly.One thing that can’t be overlooked is that there is a 2 mile 10 mph one lane road (with pull offs) off the main road to get to the property. Since we were on vacation we just enjoyed looking at all the other properties along the drive.

My friends and I had a great stay. Everything was in good working condition, most importantly the AC as the weekend we stayed saw Temps in the mid 90's. Aurora brewing is 15 minutes down the road and is an excellent place to grab a nice ipa and some food. Aurora would only be 2 minutes down the road but the location of the house is on a very long single lane road with a 10 mph limit and frequent pullovers for vehicles coming the opposite direction which is the only drawback to the location. Otherwise, amazing views and great to be right on the waters edge!

This place was clean, comfortable and cozy. The kitchen was equipped for what we needed it for. The front porch, which overlooked Lake Cayuga was so nice to sit there for our morning coffee and in the evening to watch the sun go down. The host was great to work with and very quick in responding to any question we had. Overall, it was a nice place to stay. The only thing would be the street took forever to get off it since it was a few miles long and only one car could get through at a time (at only 10 miles per hour). We did also enjoy the firepit one evening for s'mores, which was so nice. Would have loved to go kayaking on the lake but the place that rented them was not delivering when we were there. But, would definitely return!
