The Space:

Black Cottage is a charming, self-contained retreat for two on a leafy street in central Glenholme, bordering the Rotorua Golf Club and just minutes from Te Puia and the Redwoods. Downstairs is an easy open living space; up the stairs, a king bed waits for a restful night.

Master bedroom (upstairs): King bed

Living room: fold-out sofa bed (extra linens supplied on request)

Sleeps 2, with the sofa bed available if needed. All bedding and linen supplied.

One full bathroom on the ground floor.

The ground floor has a comfortable living area with a fold-out sofa, a small dining space and a fully equipped kitchen - everything two people need to settle in and cook at home.



- OUTDOOR AREA -

Step out from the living room to a sunny patio, a lovely spot for a morning coffee or an afternoon drink.



- PARKING & BIKE STORAGE -

Free parking on the premises and on the street, plus secure bike storage - handy for riding to the nearby Redwoods trails.



Guest Access:

You have the whole self-contained cottage to yourselves - the upstairs king bedroom, the living room with its sofa bed, the full bathroom, the kitchen and the patio, plus secure bike storage. The owners live in the main dwelling about 20 metres away, but the cottage is completely separate; the driveway and parking area are shared.



The Neighborhood:

Black Cottage sits on Sophia Street, a leafy residential street in Glenholme bordering the Rotorua Golf Club - quiet and green, yet remarkably central. Te Puia's geysers are barely two minutes away and the Redwoods Whakarewarewa Forest a short ride or drive, with the lakefront, Polynesian Spa, Wai Ariki Spa and the CBD all just a few minutes on. Skyline's gondola and luge, Canopy Tours and Zorb are a little further to the north.



Getting Around:

The central location makes getting around easy, with public transport accessible nearby and free parking on the premises and on the street. Te Puia is about 2 minutes away, central Rotorua and the lakefront around 6, the Redwoods 8, and Skyline, Canopy Tours, Zorb and Rotorua Airport all roughly 12 minutes. Secure bike storage makes it easy to ride to the forest trails.



Other Things to Note:

WIFI runs at around 250 Mbps. The cottage is self-contained but the owners live in the main dwelling about 20 metres away, sharing the driveway and parking. The living-room sofa folds out to an extra bed - just let us know beforehand and we'll set it up with linens.
