Overall a great stay ! Loved the location, lots of room for games and outdoor activities. Just enough room and beds to sleep our group confortably. Nicely tidy rooms and bathrooms.The host was also very accodating.

We enjoyed our stay. Frank was very responsive and a great host. The house everything we needed for our stay; the kitchen was not quite as clean as I would have liked when we arrived, but otherwise everything was great. The neighborhood was very peaceful!

This house was fantastic. You have everything you need even the things you didn't think you need.Cutlery dish soap barbecue equipment propane napkins excellent seating, lots of firewood and sleeping arrangements to accommodate to everyone. Would go again in a Heartbeat.

Spacious in the Woods

Spacious property, easily accommodating large families or groups with lots of bedrooms, washrooms, and living space.House is conveniently located near downtown Alliston and the Nottawasaga Inn.Large, peaceful property welcomed deer and birds. However, the moderately clean house had numerous spiders that had taken up residence in the rustic environment and the fridge and microwave were not well-cleaned while the water had a rural sulphur smell. Unexpected shaving crud in the drawers of the main floor washroom were also unpleasant, but with greater attention to deep cleaning, this house could easily receive 5 stars

Lack of cleanliness, very disappointing

We were very disappointed with this rental. We stayed for 2 nights due to dance competitions so we weren't on site very often and I didn't want to stay on site either. It is a big home and everyone had bedrooms, but there was a lack of cleanliness. The bathrooms, mirrors, sinks and showers were not properly cleaned which was very discusting and therefore we barely wanted to use the washrooms. There was left over hairs in one of the showers. There was no cleaning supplies or paper towels for us to try to clean it. The water smelled like bleach/chlorine, which made us not want to drink it at all and we had to shut the bathroom doors as the water in toilet made the whole house smell like that as well. It is big and spacious but just from the house being dirty, made me not want to go back at all. We brought our own pillows thankfully because we were not even sure if beds had been cleaned, but the sheets smelled clean. There was also a wasp nest right above the main door, which cause panic to my children for even going into the house. We found the house easily, but the sign with the street number was on the ground so at night we kind of had to make sure we were at the right house. Overall, I would not recommend this without going to check it out first. From the photos it looks spacious and clean but when we got there it wasn't clean at all. You could tell someone was living there and for that reason I wouldn't go back.

Rustic place with nice bedrooms

Rustic cottage with plenty of bathrooms, bedrooms and sofas. Next to no cellular service, and linens were inadequate. (did not like comforters without a sheet). Needed a welcome guide. Unsure of water, did not smell good , apppreciated bottles of water bottles of water left

Family Retreat and forest bathing...

The house was just right for our group of 3 couples, 1 toddler and 2 dogs. The kitchen which is not depicted clearly in the listing, is large and easy to gather and eat in. The property is deep and is close to nature reserves, parks and the Bruce Trail. Frank is very frirndly andade certain that our stay was enjoyable.

Our experience at this rental was not what we expected based on the listing. Upon arrival, the house was freezing—only 13 degrees—and took a long time to warm up. Basic essentials were lacking; there was insufficient toilet paper for the number of guests and bathrooms, and no paper towels or clean cleaning cloths were provided. Dish soap was also missing, making it difficult to clean up after meals. Cleanliness was another major concern. There was leftover food in both the fridge and freezer, and some areas of the house were visibly dirty. On top of that, the bedrooms and kitchen were infested with ladybugs. While we understand that rural properties may have insects, the sheer number made it uncomfortable. The listing also failed to mention that there was an attached apartment and another residence on the property. The door to the shared spaces was left open, with no way for us to lock it, which made us feel unsafe. Additionally, check-in and check-out details were not communicated as promised. The listing stated that we would receive an email with instructions, but we never did, making it difficult to find the necessary information. Finally, the property has well water, which wasn’t disclosed in the listing, and we encountered a plumbing issue upon arrival. Overall, this rental had too many issues for us to recommend it. With better upkeep, clearer communication, and the necessary supplies provided, it could be a decent stay—but in its current state, we would not book a

Perfect for a group

My family wanted a place with several rooms where we could bring the kids and dogs. This place was perfect with 4 large bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, 3 of which with a large rain head shower. The large open concept and crackling fireplace was a real treat. The double oven was a bonus .. we cooked all weekend and were able to sit altogether in a very large dining room with 2 dining tables and a large screen tv. The outdoors were rustic and beautiful .. we totally got snowed in and didn’t even care. To our surprise, a plow arrived and cleared a path for us to leave. We had a Great time at Franks’!
