Pleasant beach house stay

Property is in a good location with easy beach access. Well suited for family with children. Some wear and dings consistent with being a rental property but quite nice ivera-all.

Great time

The view is awesome! Sitting on the balcony watching the beach / waves, was very relaxing. House was nice! All bedrooms upstairs from living and kitchen which made it nice for the early birds and late risers to not get interrupted! Great house !

Great Beach Rental

We had a great stay! The location was perfect—a short walk to the private beach and nice views from the two balconies. The house was spacious, and the beds were comfy. Even though the listing said they don't provide beach towels, there were a few. We bought a few extra and donated them, as well as 2 new boogie boards, since the old ones were broken.The master didn't have a closet, which normally wouldn't matter, but we came to Galveston to get married and needed space for my wedding dress and the groomsmen's shirts. We used the spare room closets, so it all worked out fine.Overall, the place was great. I'd stay again in a heartbeat!

Nice home in great location on island

We really like staying on Hershey Beach road because of the home, north location and closeness to beach. The home was in very good shape and the layout worked very well for our family that needed separate rooms for an exchange student that was traveling with us.The home was very well stocked. The utilities were fully functioning and made living their comfortable (heat and hot water both worked effectively). Also, kitchen and bathrooms were well-stocked.Electronics were functional. Internet was provided but we didn't use because the wifi info was in the guest book that we never found. Instead, we used a travel router plugged into their Xfinity router that allows us to create our own wifi network.We had the option to contact the host re: the guest book & wifi but we didn't need it because of our own equipment.All-in-all, I would definitely look to stay at this property again. We've stayed in Galveston roughly 5 times in as many years and we'd consider this property a favorite when we are not having to share the trip with another family.

Spacious house, great location, but many repairs, changes, and updating needed.

My family and I stayed at this beach house in June 2025. The location great and a very short walk to the beach. The The house was spacious and the view of the ocean from the two covered patios was amazing. However, the house is in overall desperate need of repairs, updating, and refreshing. We had to wash all the bath towels before we felt comforting using them, because they were dingy and looked like they had been quickly washed. Several of the wash clothes were old and had holes in them, and the towels were worn, and very scratchy. We also had to wash many of the dishes, and pots and pans, because they many had food stains on them or were dusty. Also, there was not enough cookware for everyday cooking needs. We had to hang a bath towel over the window in the master bath, because the window did not have blinds, or was tinted or beveled, and it faced the neighbors house. This gave them the ability to look into the bathroom easily when the lights were on at night. This was a serious privacy issue to my wife and I. Further, there was no TV in the guest bedrooms, and the TV remote in the master bedroom was broken, and the old TV came on when it was plugged in. So, we had to unplug it to turn it off. There are many more things I could point out that need to be repaired, replaced, or updated, both inside and outside of the house, but I think you get the picture. Although the location of this beach house is great (earning the 3 rating), I would not rent it again or recommend it, if no repairs, changes, or updating are done.
