Adobe Ocean Breeze - Meredith Lodging

You’ll get the best of both worlds on your next stay in Yachats when you choose Adobe Ocean Breeze: a private 4-bedroom house to yourself that includes the prime guest amenities of the renowned Adobe Resort. That means ocean views, decks, a spacious great room, a fully equipped kitchen to gather with guests, lovely queen bedrooms, a propane fire pit, and proximity to Yachats and its fantastic dining and shops. It also means resort amenities including an indoor pool, sauna, an oceanfront bar and restaurant, and an easy walk to the rocky coastal 804 Trail. Lovely location, fun house to explore, and wonderful stay. I particularly liked the access to the ocean and near by Forest Service Cape Perpetua.

The place was great!! The price was even better. It accommodated our group perfectly. There was a nice bedroom for everyone. I would recommend bringing firewood with you because there was no heater in the great room. We also wished we had more blankets, or thicker blankets in each of the rooms. We would definitely stay here again.

The washing machine and whirlpool tub were not working. Contacted host-told would not be fixed during our stay. Although the house was lovely, it lacked many standard kitchen supplies. The heating was difficult to figure out. Trash cans not located where we were told they were and were not on our property. No guest instruction book. Poor customer service. Have stayed in many rentals from many platforms , this place was beautiful, comfortable, but customer service was lacking.

I apologize the washing machine and whirlpool tub weren’t working and that we couldn’t have them fixed during your stay. I am happy to report that the washing machine has since been replaced and the whirlpool tub repair is in progress. We have since serviced the heating system, too, and it's working like a dream. I’m sorry the kitchen lacked expected supplies and the trash information caused confusion. We will have our housekeeping team update that info for guests and do a kitchen audit promptly. It's important to us that you receive top-notch service, as that's the standard we work hard to maintain. We will take your feedback and use it to improve.

Arrived after dark but lockbox made for easy access. Very clean facility. Pool and hot tub nearby and easily accessible. Lots of white fluffy towels.
Quiet deck for those who might have to work early mornings.
Well equipped kitchen.

The property is good. However, management company and/or is not managing it properly and deceiving customers by not giving correct information.We had booked a stay for 4 days with 7 adults. Knowing this, the management company or host -- when we arrived at the property, we realized that there were no extra trash bags and the washer was not working.When we asked for more trash bags, we got lame excuses such as, "buy from the nearest store", "we only provide starter pack", "our amenities are not guaranteed and can change anytime" --- LOL. Since when did keeping extra trash bag become an amenity. When inquired about the non-working washer - we were told that "our amenities are not guaranteed and can change anytime" and "go to the resort and use their laundromat". The washer clearly had a label which said "sorry for inconvenience" --- they knew it was not working and still didn't bother to report this to customer prior to stay or during booking. They had a fixed and lame answer, "our amenities are not guaranteed and can change anytime".For anyone thinking of booking this property, think twice. The property is good, can't say the same for how it is being managed by the management company and/or the host.

I sincerely apologize our explanation felt dismissive when you asked for more trash bags. We do only provide a starter supply of essentials and we have since updated our guest packing list that's sent out several days before our guests arrive, so they can know what to prepare for. I’m also sorry the washer was out of service and that this wasn’t communicated to you before arrival — we should have notified you and offered you a better remedy during your stay. I can confirm that we do now have the washing machine up and running, it was replaced several weeks ago. Please message us through Vrbo if you’d like us to review anything further from your stay. The staff was exceptional!! The house we stayed in was not in the best repair. The jet tub leaked. The oven and the rangetop were not working well. There was a lack of glasses particularly wine glasses. There could have been more kitchen towels available. There could have been better cookwear and utensils. The home was comfortable in its day but could use some up dating. Reguardless of our troubles we really appreciated your staff. They did the best they could under the circumstances!! Would we stay there again? In a heartbeat if these issuses are resolved. Thank you very much!!

This was a pleasant, spacious and accommodating house for our mostly adult family gathering. It was clean & comfortable, with an intriguing layout on multiple levels, and several outdoor sitting areas. The house is attractively and tastefully decorated, and provides the necessities for comfortable stay. The dining room table seats six. The beds are comfy. The location is a short drive from Cape Perpetua. We enjoyed having access to the Adobe Resort pool. The only thing I would advise to guests is to make sure to ask for the checkout procedures well in advance to allow enough time to fit those tasks into your morning checkout process before 10:00 AM. Other than a last-minute rush to get some expected things done, our stay went very smoothly and the house was perfect for our restful family togetherness. Thank you.

Review of Ocean Breeze

Only 6 chairs for dining and we had women in mid 70's. So I guess you need to bring chairs. The fridge shelf was broken and was kinda frustrating, we brought coolers so it worked okay. The laundry, sheets and towels are very toxic with chemical cleaners. Many of us have chemical sensitivity. I usually bring my own towel, sheets bedding etc because of how many poisons are now used everywhere. The lighting was intense LED's everywhere, kitchen dining room, it would be really nice if they had some dimmers or full spectrum light bulbs. There was a very strange rule to have only 3 cars in the driveway, we were 10 of us driving from complete different directions. They said we could park 3 blocks away at near by hotel, but for elderly people just not realistic. We left our cars in driveway and they didn't enforce that rule, but stated it several times. There is a fire place, bring your own wood, they didn't specifically mention this anywhere. There was some kitchen ware, most of pots and pans were Teflon, so bring your own if you don't wish to use that. Sliding doors are very hard to open. Good stuff; we had access to the Adobe Hotel where we could use pool/sauna and hot tub. We also had a super nice mini sauna in rental that got used. Big space with lots of open windows and nice beds. The loft space, is directly above the living room and you can hear everything. Overall, we had a great time and might return if they switched to non toxic cleaning product
