The Cabot Trail Lavender Guest House is located minutes form downtown Cheticamp, Gypsum Mines, and the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Also closely located close to beaches and trails for hiking, quads, equestrian and in the winter snowmobiling.
Had an amazing stay here with our family of four. The house was perfect and the hosts are incredibly thoughtful and welcoming. The location is on the doorstep of the Highlands Park. Weâve stayed in many rentals over the years and itâs rare to find one a comfortable and well appointed as this!
We had a really nice stay with our 2 kids and 3 nieces and nephews (2 adults and 5 teenage kids)âŠthere was plenty of room and host are great and made us feel welcome. House was spotless and they welcome's us with a lot of snacks and soft drinks and amazing coffee bar. Location is awesome too right off the Cabot trail on the outskirts of Cheticamp, 2 min drive into town for all groceries and other needs (gas, restaurants, etc.)âŠyou can walk to the bakery for a couple of minutes too for all your breakfast needs. I would highly recommend this place for any large group of up to 8 ppl
We had a wonderful stay at the Cabot Trail Lavender Guest House! We appreciated all of the âextrasâ - the snacks, breakfast items, and beverages. The house was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our two night stay. I never imagined that we would be so close to everything but we were. Catherine was a wonderful host and we hope one day to return to the area again!
What a perfect experience. Felt like home. From treats for the grandchildren to a lemon meringue pie in the fridge!,! A pie! Check in was effortless. Catherine answered any questions we had in a timely manner. Lavender house was close to all the activities we wanted to do as well as shopping. Couldnât ask for anything more! Earned more than five stars
The Lavender House is one of the best vacation homes we have stayed at in a long time. We spent 3 nights out of an 9 day tour of Cape Breton. The house was Impeccably clean, organized and tastefully decorated. Catherine said to help ourselves to any of the goodies she left for us. I figured it would be similar to other places we stayed with some coffee and a couple snacks. When my daughter carried our groceries into the kitchen she hollered âyou should see all the goodies they left for us! These people are the best!â Catherine goes over the top. She even left a pie from the bakery down the road. This is not a sterile rental with no character and 4 of each plate, cup and fork. You will feel at home here. The kitchen may be better equipped than our own. We loved sitting on the porch. It should be noted that it is somewhat close to the main road to the park, so there is quite a bit of traffic during the day, but it gets pretty quiet in the evening. There is a great beach about a 20 minute stroll from the house. This house was perfectly situated between Cheticamp and the entrance to Cape Breton Park and close to lots of hiking trails. Fast internet and the big screen tv made my teen happy (yes she also hiked). The air conditioning and laundry facilities worked well and the shower water pressure was amazing. Catherine was very responsive to any questions we had and even anticipated some we didnât. We would highly recommend this property and woulf for sure come back again.
