The lakehouse is 2462 sq ft has cathedral ceilings, large decks, a screened gazebo with hot tub, fire pit and a private boat dock. Perfect for relaxing with oversized windows in the large living room for a year round scenic view of the lake and Laurel Mountain. Laurel Mountain Lake is a spring fed 60 acre lake with a sandy beach area and picnic table for community use.

You cant get much better than this wonderful home. Owners are always available and extremely helpful with even the smallest details.

Lovely little house on a lake

We loved our stay at the lake house. The house was perfect for our teen son and two small dogs. We all spent a lot of time fishing - from the dock, the shore, and even from the paddle boat! The location is very remote and private and the views from the house are gorgeous. The grilled often and spent a lot of time on the huge deck overlooking the lake. We had absolutely perfect weather and would definitely return.

Perfect Vacation House

We highly enjoyed our stay, the house had everything we could want and more. We loved the shower, the water pressure was amazing and enjoyed the fireplace every night. My husband and daughter loved fishing from the dock and kayaking, we also used the grill multiple times. The hot tub was very relaxing and my daughter got in it daily. Even with the 3 days of rain and Hurricane Helene’s side effects we loved our time at this property. The only negative is the tricky driveway, we parked in front of the upper garage as I was not comfortable with the driveway in front of the house.

Oh, but it's just a spider!

I rented this house for a relaxing week and to get some work done for my business. The check-in process was easy, but we were disappointed to find cobwebs everywhere! The kitchen had utensils, silverware, and pots, and maybe one pan. When we turned on the water, brown water came out initially. The provided coffee maker leaked water and had gritty white residue in the coffee. The freezer contained old food and ice with a strange smell. I also noticed limescale buildup in dishwasher, sinks, and shower, leaving a chalky residue on dishes and making everything feel dirty. The house wasn’t as clean as it appeared either. We were delighted with the private lake, peaceful atmosphere, and great fishing. The shaded dock was a plus for fishing anytime. My husband spent a week clearing cobwebs and saving me from spiders. The exterior of the house was covered in cobwebs, including every window and the screened-in porch. I wanted to use the hot tub, but I didn't dare because of all the spiders. We encountered brown recluses, black widows, and wolf spiders. Every morning, we had to clear spiderwebs from the back deck and outdoor furniture. Despite some considering it part of nature, I think the property needs a deep clean and pest control. I was very disappointed in our stay here because I felt like I couldn’t truly relax. I couldn’t spend much time outside because of the uncleanliness, and overall, I felt like I wasted my money. The lake is beautiful, but the house needs a lot of TLC.

Relaxing family vacation

Beautiful scenic walk around the lake on paved road. Quiet, private setting. Everything there to provide for a casual, carefree time. Thank you so much for such a nice stay.

Loved the house

Everything clean, lots of extra items in cupboards, spices, pots pans coffee, Host was very patient with my exhausted self checking in 3+ hours late at night after sitting in traffic jam after traffic jam. Since there was no cell service for T-Mobile, had to rely on my printout I thankfully made. Had printed the “wifi instructions” with all the door and WiFi codes, it stated garage remote on table- no remote but door would not open more than 6 inches even pushing button inside garage, and door had poison ivy growing on it so gave up on use of garage since it was a steep drop to house anyways. If arriving at night take flashlight, it is pitch black and motion activating lights on house don’t come on until you are underneath them, driveway narrow and steep in dark. Lake was like bath water temp and spent lots of time in lake. Sandy beach across lake. Very few people around. Did Gatlinburg and pigeon forge, each about 2 hours away with traffic. Walmart about 20 minutes. Also missed the section on listing stating no cable - just streaming, 2 TVs in house 36 inch in living room and master. Also electric blanket in master closet which always freezing husband was thankful for. Also multiple WiFi options, pick regular WiFi in main part of house and the extended option if in far bedrooms.

Lake Life

Such a nice, quiet, relaxing stay. We enjoyed everything the lake had to offer - swimming, boating (kayaks & pedal boat provided) and fishing. Enjoyed the hot tub too. So nice that they welcome dogs. The house was very nice and had all the amenities we needed. Would recommend!

Excellent Place!

We thoroughly enjoyed the home and the lake! The lake was clean (no motors allowed) and perfect to swim in. Our 2 dogs also loved taking a dip. The house is very large and comfortable. So many places to sit inside and out. We saw many deer on the property and around. Great lake for fishing too! We had an amazing vacation!!

Great Lake House!

Could not have found a better lake house to stay in! Enjoyed swimming in the lake so much, loved the paddle boat, and the hot tub! The property had everything you needed, plenty of towels, blankets. Fully stocked kitchenware. Beds were comfortable as well. My only negatives were the amount of baby millipedes found on the first level of the house, especially in the bathroom. Had to kill and clean out dozens of them. Also the outside of the house could use some power washing, lots of dead bugs, spiderwebs, and bird poop. But other than that, everything was very clean.

Relaxing and Peaceful

Our stay was wonderful. It was very quiet all week and most times we were the only people on the lake, whether we were floating or kayaking. House was clean and equipped with all you would need, including toiletries (i forgot my toothbrush,but an unopened pack was provided), paper products, beach towels, floats and basic spices to cook with. Communication from the host was excellent. It felt more like staying at a friend or relative's home than a rental. I would not hesitate to come back and stay again.

Unplug and decompress

Wonderful rental to spend a week. The lake is beautiful and the neighborhood is so quiet at night that it is almost eerie. My wife, bother-in-law, and 2 Corgi dogs had a very relaxing week spent mostly on the large deck. The deck is great for dogs due to having gates, they could come in and out of the house as they pleased. Master bedroom/bathroom are spacious and comfortable. Two downstairs bedrooms were good size and have their own bathroom. Hardly any traffic on the road around the lake, but be prepared for a lot of turns on the road getting to the gate for the community. Overall one of the best VRBOs we’ve rented and definitely would stay there again.

Spring Break

The house is in one of the quietest Lake Communities we’ve ever stayed in. House was perfect for a Spring Break getaway. It had everything needed for a fun family week stay, only had to leave for food! House was very clean and well kept. Hostess was very responsive and helpful from check-in to the time we left.

Cozy Lake Home

This place was perfect for us. Beautiful inside and out, incredible views, amazing fireplace, comfy bed in the master, all the details were there right down to the deck layout and the dog doors! Carrie Joy is easy to communicate with and a gracious host.

Holiday Stay

We stayed here because it was dog friendly and close to both family and reasonably placed near attractions (Dollywood). The house is lovely and the use of the kayaks made a day in extra fun for the kids. With the season being really busy I feel like the house needs a day off for some deep cleaning when possible. The split level was nice with kids. Two bedrooms down stairs one up. The drive way is very steep but even my passenger van made it fine but be cautious pulling in. The neighborhood was quite and relaxing. Plenty of kitchen utensils and a good bit of “extras” (like oil, spices, coffee, and sugar) Not the host fault but the previous renters did not clean up after their dogs (my lab/bloodhound loved that😅)

Picture Perfect location

I'd have to recommend this place based on location alone. This was the perfect time of year to come with the leaves turning and sitting on this lake was a great location. The home is pretty well described in the listing and the owner answered any questions and responded quickly to any communication. The area is quiet, scenic and very restful yet close enough to Madisonville and Tellico Plains (try Tellico Plains Bakery and thank me later) that you have everything you'll need readily available. We really enjoyed the stay.

East Tennessee Friends Motorcycle Trip

Loved the property and all of the amenities to which we had access. We used the hot tub, the kayaks, the dock for fishing and swimming, and the spaciousness of the family/TV room with a lot of comfortable couches and chairs. Appreciated the owners allowing us to put our motorcycles in the garage every night after riding. The owners were spot on with communication about their property. Next time we go to that area we will use their property again.

Family Vacation 2023

We had a great time! Very relaxing and peaceful. Our 2 year old grandson loved fishing out back at the lake and taking walks. Luckily we brought a small blowup pool for on the deck for our grandson because it was a very hot week! House is very equipped with everything we needed and Carrie was great to work with start to finish. We did some cooking in and also went out for a few meals
. Highly recommend Ironworks! Our daughter and son-in-law loved the Lost Sea Adventure. Only negative for us was driving so far to see other areas such as Pigeons Forge and Gaitlinburg after a long drive to TN but that was ok, just spaced everything out!

Secluded and Beautiful Lake Property

The property is a great spot right on the lake. Peaceful, quiet, secluded and homey! There for six nights and maybe only saw two other people on the lake. Property owners were easy to get ahold of. Had no need to reach out during our stay, house is well stocked with necessary items for day to day use. Highly recommend Angela’s Miami Grill in Athens and also Legends and Lore Pizza in Madisonville if you’re looking for a place to eat!

Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at this beautiful lake house! The house itself was spacious, clean, cozy and had everything we needed. The outside space was equally welcoming and we had a blast jumping off the dock and swimming during the day and having bon fires at night. It was a peaceful and serene setting. The hosts were very gracious and quick to respond to any questions we had. If you're looking for a stay on a quiet lake, this place is a must!
