Great place!

We just had a great vacation! The condo was a good size for our family of 4. Loved the balcony overlooking the ocean. Being down at the west end of the island was nice as the beach wasn’t super crowded. Super easy access to the beach also.

Girls trip

This was the perfect place for our mother/daughter girls trip! John was VERY communicative. Best views...enjoyed our balcony time listening to the ocean. Literally steps away from beach. Check in/out process very detailed & easy. OIB was quaint and quiet while we were there (May 4-8) Would defiantly recommend and I would go back!!

Ocean Isle Paradise!

We so enjoyed our short trip to Ocean Isle! The condo was very nice; comfortable bed, well appointed kitchen, nice living space, no clutter and the best ocean view!We ate our meals on the wonderful balcony overlooking the beautiful beach! (With coats on!)The south end of the island was amazing to walk down to!Also, it is only one set of stairs up … which was great since the elevator was broken. We would definitely choose this condo again!

Great location

We enjoyed our stay overall but the listing on VRBO should read… bring your own paper products such as TP, paper towels, Kleenex, garbage bags in addition to sheets, pillow cases, towels. We found out after we were fully booked through a message by the host. Good thing we didn’t fly. Great location next to the beach. Not newly remodeled just some newer decorative items.

Much larger than I expected. Was a quiet, great location, well-furnished, clean condo. Excellent clear direction and instructions. Would recommend to family and friends. My only issue is that the numbers/alphabets on the outside are not large enough for old folks.

We hope you took one of our discount cards at our condo for our repeat guests. They are good at any of our properties in Ocean Isle Beach, Nc or Smith Mountain Lake Va. The more you come the more you $ave. We take care of our guests.

Perfect OIB Location

The convenience to the beach and location of this condo within the complex can’t be beat. It was easy for me to allow my children to go back and forth alone because I could see them well. The kids loved the pool. Parking is easy, walk to the beach is very short and simple, very minimal noise from neighbors, not crowded at the beach, the beds were comfortable, and it feels very safe overall. When it comes to furniture, bed linens and such, it’s low-budget like most rental properties. We did go buy a few soft throw blankets for comfort. The only true “con” for us was that it’s dark throughout the space. It doesn’t feel like a bright and airy beach condo. Overall, we were very happy and will likely return as OIB has become our family’s favorite beach!

Smaller than described

Nice location, updated but not renovated, smaller than what we expected, after a few days got used to it. Main bedroom located next to the stairs and hallway with noise from foot traffic. New non stick pans at the time, and sufficient utensils. Overall building upkeep could use some upkeep and attention. Last time we were at the windjammer was probably 7 years and generally needs attention. Overall it was fine but not what we expected.

Great location

Great location - directly on the beach with very quick and easy beach access. Condo is long and narrow and the bedrooms are far apart - fine for us but if you have smaller kids you may want to be closer. The unit is on the first floor and at times you can hear people walking above you. Beds are comfy. Owner supplies all beach items in their closet (wish we would have known). Appliances are good. Overall clean and comfortable. I would not have more than 4 people as it would be too crowded. The keypad lock was super convenient - I would have liked to have a deadbolt option for night time. Pool is nice but located in the back of the building away from beach views. No biggie for us but may matter to some. Showers were full of sand when we arrived - no biggie, I cleaned them out real quickly. Overall very happy with our stay and would stay here again for sure.

Disappointing and not as described.

We are a family of four, 2 adults and 2 kids. Stayed here for 4days/3nights on a Spring break. First off, this property is not “Newly updated” as the listing implies. It has clearly deteriorated over the years and is in dire need of a deep cleaning. There were dust everywhere, even on the doors where the towel bars were. I had to wipe them off to hang my kids’ towels. When we arrived at 4pm for check-in, the cleaning lady was still there, and informed us that her helpers did not show up so she was delayed. This poor elderly lady was clearly inept to clean a whole condo all by herself but she gave it her best. The living / kitchen area is very tight, I would not recommend for any groups more than 4. To make matters worse, there were contractors hanging off ladders over the balcony, starting every morning around 7:30am and throughout the day. Pros: Ocean front, beach chairs and umbrellas.

Things I wish I had known

The location and access to the beach were perfect. The condo is definitely a full time rental - as the listing states, bring your own linens, TP, paper towels, etc. We did find dryer sheets and paper towels left over from the last renters, but did bring our own. We rented linens and did not receive the right sized sheets for one of the beds. The company fixed it and refunded me, but it was the next day. I wish I had known that: 1. There was construction planned for the building during our stay. The owners knew and refunded less than half of one night's stay for 2 days of construction, but I will ask for future Vrbo rentals if the building is under construction. 2. Off season and on a holiday weekend, there is only one restaurant open on the island. We ate at Ocean Isle Fish Company 3 nights in a row. 3. There is one ChargePoint electric car charger on the island that requires about 8 hours to fully charge. Overall, the location and beach access made it a great weekend, but there were some downsides to the condo and the island.

Great location

West end of OIB is quiet and peaceful. Unit has a great floor plan with both bedrooms having their own connecting bathrooms. Can't beat the view of the ocean from the balcony. Would recommend to others.

Our new Windjammer Condo is located on the west end of OIB away from the crowds. Our condo is located right by the main beach access - 100 ft to the beach or pool. Unobstructed oceanfront view from the condo.
