6 adults in my group stayed in this beautiful villa. The pool is simply stunning and perfect for all ages with shallow and deep end. Two parasols for shade! We all loved spending a few hours relaxing in the sun.The villa has a/c in 3 out of 4 bedrooms and one of the bedrooms has a separate entrance downstairs with its own bathroom. Both bathrooms have a good size shower. beds were very comfortable which is an important factor for me on holiday! The kitchen is well equipped and there are two under counter fridges plus a freezer and access to washing machine if needed.BBQ was great to enjoy a meal in the evening to take in the stunning views from the patio.Wifi worked very well.Car is required as it is remote but the villa is perfectly located in Tuscany and visits to Pisa, Florence, Sienna all about 1 hour drive and all worth a visit.Volterra is a wonderful town with supermarket and shops and is a 15 minute drive away.Thank you to David and Irina for sharing your home.
My family and I had an incredible time at Villa Il Fienile Podere, which is located about 10-15 minutes by car from Volterra. The kitchen is well stocked and the Wifi worked great. The upstairs has 3 bedrooms, two with king beds and one with 3 twin beds which is great for kids. A/C in 2 of the 3 bedrooms, but A/C wasn't really necessary in mid June as the weather was nice and breezy. There's also a detached bedroom adjacent to the main house w/ A/C, king bed, and a full bathroom (no stairs). The pool is huge and there are shallow/deep ends, so it was great for my kids. The owner was very responsive, so all our needs were met. The location is perfect if you're trying to use it as a base to explore Tuscany by car. We were able to get to Sienna, Florence, Pisa, Venice, San Gimignano, Volterra (twice) and also to the local beach town of Cecina. All were within about an hour drive max (except Venice of course). A few caveats: There are spiral steel stairs to get from the first to the second levels in the main house, not a problem for us or most people but could be a challenge for the physically challenged or very little ones. Also have patience with the washer, it can take up to 2 hours to finish but it does work (You're in Italy, so not everything is like the US). Also, driving in Italy is an experience, so get used to being passed by kind but impatient Italian drivers. I highly recommend staying here to any families who are willing to explore Tuscany on their own.
Hello all, Irina and I live in both Belgium and Romania. Anywhere we stay, we treat just like it is our home...that's what we expect when people stay at our property Nothing compares with Italy as a holiday place. We hope you'll fall in love with this region like us.
