Charmante cabane sur 2,5 hectares à droite sur les rives du Big Cypress Bayou dans l'est du Texas, prête pour vous détendre et vous détendre! La cabine est directement sur la rivière, vous pouvez jeter dans la rivière depuis votre porte arrière! Ou allez au lac Caddo et louez un bateau. Si vous préférez faire du shopping, allez à Jefferson (15 minutes) et explorez les antiquaires et les restaurants. Kayaks, foyer, cible de tir à l'arc, fers à cheval, trou de maïs, livres et jeux sont disponibles. Venez profiter de Old Cypress River House et évadez-vous de tout!

Fish galore

Had a great time at this house for spring break. Everyone caught fish from perch, bass, crappie, and catfish. Son had such a great time that he’s already wanting to go back. House had many amenities.

Great stay if you are looking for a remote quiet trip

Perfect location for a quiet getaway. Loved the scenery of the bayou and surrounding areas. Wanted to take a quick camping trip to the woods to get away from the day to day stresses. Caddo Lake and the Jefferson area was exactly what we was looking for. Checked off all the boxes!!!

Wonderful Secluded Gem

This place is off the beaten path and really unique. This place can comfortably sleep 8 people and has plenty of outside deck area. Although we aren't fishers... This is a great place for people who fish. The grandkids loved the loft room and unique steps up to that room. The place was clean and had plenty of linens and beach towels. We had a great time.

House was great. Weather was bad for trip, but it was great to have a house to enjoy cooking and visiting. Do not recommend driving to house in the dark. Can be tricky.

Beautiful house

Couples getaway was wonderful. The deck, kayaks, games, and comfortable beds. The kitchen was well stocked and arranged. The master bed and bathroom was amazing. Enjoyed coffee in the morning and evening drinks on the deck.

Labor Day weekend get a way

The house was amazing! Had all that we needed and more. My children loved the jet tub and fireplace heater. We loved catfishing off the dock and caught two four footers while we were there. Very exciting for kids. The Wi-Fi was spotty due to location but I loved it cause that’s why we went there to get away….we all got to sit together and watch a DVD in the evening. I loved cooking in the kitchen! Loved the gas grill and vent that raises from the island. We will plan a longer trip next time!

Very clean and right on the water!

Great location for a fishing trip! House was very clean and well stocked! Can even fish on the dock right outside your door! Home owner was great and easy to reach when we struggled a bit with Wi-Fi/internet. Had to use a hotspot to watch a Ranger game. House is not very far from Jefferson if you need some groceries. We will definitely be back in the future!

Quick Getaway!

We had so much Fun! We fished off the dock early in the morning, kayaked in the afternoon, and played games at night. The house has everything you need plenty of towels, paper towels, toiletries, dish washer tabs, anything you need. The other reviews said you needed a truck and that the road was bad? The road is fine to get to the house you could easily get there in small car. We will be back!

Perfect property

Their place is perfectly located. Well appointed and very comfortable. Super quiet and secluded. Wonderful neighbor too. The only one there is. We were close to Jefferson and Caddo. Love the drive up to the cabin. Definitely a great place to stay.

Bayou Bliss

We chose this cute and well=appointed cottage to spend Christmas with our daughter and the only downfall was that it was very cold and we couldn't use the kayaks and other outdoor amenities. I made Christmas dinner easily in the large kitchen and we slept well on the comfortable beds. I also enjoyed a dip in the jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom. The frigid air warmed enough on our last night to enjoy the firepit outside. We also loved the nearby hiistorical town of Jefferson and we'll be back in warmer weather to explore, kayak and fish! Wonderful experience!

People, if you are looking for the perfect spot for a stay near Jefferson, look no farther. The home is equipped with everything you think you need and that everything is high quality. Serene and peaceful. Relaxing in every way. Can’t think of one negative.

Excellent getaway

The setup is everything you need! Just pack you bags, bring your food and all else is there. From cookware, coffee and the set up and even cooking spices on hand! Back shower was not available during stay, was backed up with dirt and water wouldn’t warm up but the other shower and two additional beautiful tubs worked just fine. We had quite a bit of rain on the last day, so owner allowed us to book another night just to enjoy relaxing to the sound of it and allowed us time just camp out in the main area and have a much needed family movie night. Wi-Fi was hit or miss for that area with the bad weather but was able to hook up hot spot from phones and had no issues! 10-10 recommend! Thank you for the great experience!

We loved the house it was just what we needed for a weekend getaway the only complaint was it was hot when we got there but turn the AC on it just took a while to cool down the house but it is summertime and we are in Texas!!

Country Life At it’s best

If you are looking for a quiet peaceful relaxing place to stay this is it ! Wi-Fi isn’t that great but I mean you will be in the country so what would you expect ? The cabin is beautifully decorated and very spacious . We did have a few issues but upon speaking to the owner she was very apologetic and was not aware of them . So if you want to feel “isolated” but just a few minutes to civilization this is the place .

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

There's so much to do at Old Cypress River House.
There's a boat launch less than a mile away and place at the cabin to tie up your boat.
End the night playing board games by the fireplace inside. Go on a river tour through the Cypress forest with Captain Ron's Swamp Tours and have a catfish dinner at Big Pines Lodge, or be brave and order the alligator!
You're 15 minutes from Caddo Lake in one direction, 10-15 minutes from Jefferson in the other and 30 minutes from Lake of the Pines where you can rent a boat at Bull Frog's.

Bedrooms
Bedroom 1 is huge! It has a King bed with an attached bathroom with a jet tub and a shower.
There is a 55" smart TV in this room.

Bedroom 2 is also huge! It has a King bed. The bath is not attached but is right next door and has a claw foot tub with a hand held shower.
There is a 55" smart TV in this room.

Bedroom 3 is a bit smaller and has bunk beds and an attached bath with a bathtub and shower combo.

Bedroom 4 is not really a bedroom. It is a loft with 2 twin beds.

Dining
There is dining space for 8: a small table for 4 and 4 counter stools at the bar.

Seating
There is a sectional that seats 6 comfortably. 4 dining chairs can be easily used
for extra seating.

WIFI
There is a 55" smart TV in the living room. There is Satellite WIFI available. Hulu, Disney and Netflix can be signed into on all TVs. Remember, what you are trying to do is "get away from it all;" but because we are off the beaten path the satellite internet signal can be spotty at times. Internet gaming on the WIFI is not available since it is Satellite WIFI and there is a delay.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

You're out/away from it all, but can run into town for dinner in less than 15 minutes. Jefferson is a great place to explore all of the shops and all of the history. You also have Caddo Lake 15 minutes away and Lake of the Pines 30 minutes away.
