The ranch house was beautiful and Tanya was the best. Tanya made our stay fabulous. Not to mention her husband Kip! The quick ride to Yellowstone was nice as we enjoyed scenery and wild life. You wonât go wrong staying here, my family of six had a wonderful stay.
Beautiful house! Elk Run was perfect for our Yellowstone vacation - close enough to the park but far enough from the crowds to give peace and quiet. The layout of the house is perfect for families and it was very well stocked. Tanya was a wonderful manager and responded quickly to any questions.
This is the third time we have stayed at this property, and they never disappoint. The location is wonderful, not too far from Yellowstone, and still remote. Just what we wanted as we live in large cities.
The property and cabin were amazing. The cabin was salacious for the size of our party, and was very nice. The property was perfect. The property was very peaceful with plenty of land to explore. We spent a good bit of our time just walking around the property and exploring. Communication was also great. Everytime I had question, Carol would always provide a sufficient response and gave us some great ideas, which was great especially since this was our first time to Yellowstone. I would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful property! All the amenities you need. Beds are comfortable and there are plenty of pillows (I always think you never get enough). We will definitely come back to this property. Perfect for families.
Incredible lodging and surrounding scenery. Couldnât ask for any better views with this accommodation. Due to a bridge being washed out in a flood that created a detour, there is about 8 miles of well maintained but bumpy gravel road.
The payoff is well worth the few extra miles. I would rent this place again in a heartbeat.
Havenât taken a family trip since 2020 and this place was truly magnificent. The moment we arrived, we all fell in awe of the place and it was breath taking. The house, both inside and out, were so neat and beautiful and we really loved it. Plenty of space and room for 7 and very close the Park! Will consider rebooking in the future!
Our stay was wonderful and really a beautiful house in magnificent location. Its remote but also close to
Yellowstone -
About a 35-minute drive. Loved it!
Perfect for family getaway as room for being together and separate. Beautifully equipped with everything you need to relax and enjoy the Montana outdoors! Hostess communication was exceptional. Getting to the ranch will be better once the Tom Miner bridge is completed.
Everything you could ask for and more. There were games for the kids like monopoly, plenty of paper products, towels, condiments, etc. The house itself was beautiful. Every evening we watched elk, pronghorns and deer from the deck. You could see the Yellowstone river from the house winding its way through the hills.
The cabin is awesome! The road into the property is rough. But the cabin is well worth the drive. The property manager is fast to respond to any questions or concerns.
House was beautiful, spacious and cozy. The views from the house were incredible, as was the area around the house - lots of wildlife and vista viewing right nearby! Convenient distance from Yellowstoneâs north gate and cities like Livingston and Gardiner which had plenty of groceries, good restaurants, and anything else we needed.
Would absolutely stay here again!
The house and property are first rate. Beautiful house. Well stocked. Clean and comfortable. The only issue that I would earn anyone about is the directions and quality of the road that accesses the property. The Tim Miner bridge has been washed out for over a year and the directions to the property have not been updated. Thatâs the way youâd normally get off hwy 89 for a short trip. As it is now, you have to exit on to the old Yellowstone road and drive at least 20 minutes on a washboard rough poorly maintained road which takes a half hour. This will add approximately 45 extra minutes to get to Gardiner because thereâs no other way to get there.
We chose this house for the great reviews and the proximity. The reviews are for real. The close proximity, not quite so much.
There were minor maintenance things that need to be addressed. The dryer wasnât drying because there was a dangerous amount of lint built up at the outside vent. Once we cleared that the dryer worked fine. The downstairs bathroom sink needs some clearing as it tends to stop up. We didnât fix that.
Again, relatively minor issues except the road issue. Thatâs a little more aggravating but this is meant to be a great review of the property.
We have owned our own VRBO property before and feel obliged to point out anything that would impact a stay.
The manager did say they tried to email me through VRBO re the bridge. After we booked. That info should have already been updated as itâs relevant
Pictures do not do this place justice. The views are absolutely amazing. Our family had such a great time. We loved seeing the wildlife and just sitting out on the decks and enjoying all the views.
Home was sufficient for 8 adults and 2 kids never felt like we were tripping over one another. Danyalle was always available via text or in person. Kids took the loft which they loved but it does get warm up there a fan is provided. All beds/pillows were very comfortable. If you like the outdoors this home sits high up on a mountain side. An SUV or truck is highly recommended on the narrow dirt road. We all totally enjoyed the experience. Danyalle gave us directions to go farther up the mountain to watch the grizzlies which we did. Awesome!!
I rented this cabin 18 months ahead of time to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday. It was supposed to be an adults only trip. Six months prior to our trip, Pop-Pops decided he wanted to include the grandkids. I was able to arrange the grands coming along, but paid quite a bit additional.
Because the bridge was washed out and still not repaired, we drove for several miles on a poorly maintained dirt road. When we arrived we found dirty dishes in the dishwasher, someone's clothes in a drawer, and no towels. We also learned we had to haul out our trash; with the poor road this took more than an hour. We were told the host would pick it up if it was not convenient; this happened on day 2 but were told it was not possible when we tried again later in the week. Because of the bear danger we couldn't leave the trash outside and we had a 10-month old in diapers. It would have been nice to have access to the garage to store the outbound trash. We also had to purchase more trash bags, dishwasher pods and detergent.
The cabin itself is gorgeous and a great place for our stay. We had a great time and made wonderful memories, but these inconveniences were unnecessary for the price we paid.
House was large with a very large area downstairs. Nice wrap around porch where you can view wildlife in the mornings and evenings. House had AC which was a nice touch with the warmer weather In Montana. View of the mountain was beautiful. Canât say enough about this home
The house, the views, the locationâŠ. All amazing! We absolutely loved the beautiful sunrise over the Yellowstone River. We saw lots of Elk, deer, pronghorn, and even a few bald eagles.
The house was clean, spacious and just as beautiful as the pictures.
We definitely hope to return.
This home was emasculate and very very nice. In addition, it lived up to its name with 50 resident elk nearby. Only challenge is the longer drive with the Tom Minor Bridge still out. Highly recommend.
