Nice couple little touches like coffee and some Heineken zeros conveniently located. So don’t expect the outside to be perfect. They probably had a wind storm or something so it wasn’t quite as nice outside as we would’ve liked to be, but inside is definitely very nice especially for the money. Management very helpful on top of things very easy to do business with. I highly recommend.

The best birthday weekend

This home is so cozy and the surrounding neighborhood and views are just beautiful! We loved using the fireplace, plugging in the Christmas tree and just enjoying our time with friends celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday! It was the perfect backyard for two very energetic and playful pups! And the best kitchen to make delicious brunch and fun cocktails! We had an incredible stay and even extended another day! We would definitely stay again!

We spent our indoor time upstairs feeling as if we were in a tree House. Quiet & friendly neighborhood. Our dog loved the deck upstairs & the cool fresh air. added another night we didn't want to leave. Never even turned the TV on. Looked at some cabins & hope to retire up here.

Negatives

Heater in downstairs room didn’t work (guests didn’t sleep in there) till next day after I called cabin manager. A space heater was provided for the second night. Cabin is not wheelchair accessible- my guest in wheelchair could only access bathroom from front room (downstairs doorway to restroom living room/ bedroom did not allow access for wheelchair- too narrow). Guest had to access bedroom by coming through the exterior sliding door.

This cabin is wheelchair accessible due to the sliding doors, the living room, a bathroom, bedroom and kitchen all being on one level. The front doors are too small but it is still accessible, we do not advertise being ADA compliant. New year’s getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The only downside from our stay is that we were able to enter the property after 6pm, when check-in time is at 4pm; it was a disappointment since we were traveling from abroad. The house was clean, they have electric mattress covers which are very nice to sleep warm and comfy. The house has two living rooms so it’s nice that kids can play in one and adults get together in the other one. The spa is great. The deck and the porch are not lit so is kind of disappointed that we couldn’t stay a out after 6 since it was dark, it was a hassle to bbq without outdoor light. We had an issue with the food processor in sink and they someone right away to fix it. Other than that, we had great time.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we had a nice stay but did notice a few things needed repairs (see below). The cabin is very cute and has a lovely mountain feel. There was adequate space for our group and the kitchen was nice to cook in, just had to make do without a few items. Repairs: The towel rod in the lower bath isn't anchored to the wall well. The shower rod upstairs isn't anchored to the wall well. The cables on the upstairs banisters are hanging on by a thread (literally). The light switch when walking in the keypad door is hidden (didn't see it til we left). The kitchen could use a few items: mixing bowl, whisk, pot holders.

Not what you expect from VRBO

Felt like we were duped. Property listed as "Hosted by Claire," so I assumed that was an actual person. Unfortunately, it quickly became clear we were not dealing with a host as you would expect from VRBO, but instead a property management company. I received countless emails from them and had to jump through a lot of hoops to confirm and actually get access to the property. Some of this is due to the requirements of the City of Big Bear, apparently, which requires guests to do a face-to-face check in at the rental office. Super inconvenient, and had I known ahead of time, we probably would have gone elsewhere. Property was not guaranteed to be available at 4pm check in time as advertised, but instead would be "ready whenever the cleaning team got to it." Standard, basic things you don't want to have to worry about while traveling (like hand soap) were not included and were running out by the time we left. House itself is shoddily constructed and the ceiling shook and particles dropped down every time someone walked upstairs. Lacks basic things, like towel hooks. Despite having to download an app (not the VRBO one), there were no instructions on how to operate the fireplace, heat, or hot tub. Listed as safe for kids, but the wall heater was very hot to the touch and would be dangerous for a young child.

Awesome Experience

The property was nice, beautiful area and very quite. The kids loved it. Many stores were near by for convenience.

Hidden Gem

What a quaint and very roomy cabin! It fit all of us comfortably. Had all amenities needed to cook and clean. Wish there was an extra couch downstairs as the stools weren't too comfy to lounge on. Upstairs bedroom near stairs was chilly so maybe extra blankets would be nice. We had a great time and would definitely enjoy another stay in the future.

Great get away

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I stayed at Angels Calling for a few days during our skiing trip. The cabin is cozy and well equipped with everything you need. The hot tub is very relaxing after a day of skiing.I highly recommend this cabin for your next stay in Big Bear.

cosy great cabin with all the basics needed for a great trip

A great cabin with all the amenities to make it a fabulous trip. Close to a hill for sledding and a great hot tub and backyard. The living room downstairs has a fireplace and a comfy sofa but lacks enough seating for all to sit together. Also, there's no dining table but can make do with sitting on bar stools at the kitchen counter and a small side table than can seat a few people.

Great location, great for our dogs

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Would have been nicer if first floor had heat. Heater put out little heat for first floor. No soap nor hairdryer as advertised. Hot tub dangerous as there are no stairs to get in or out. The pool cover has no metal lift on it making it a two person job to open the top. I The second floor was warm and comfortable. The area has lots to do, Big Bear is really beautiful. This cabin would be great with a few improvements.
