Beautiful, peaceful property. Constance and Steve were wonderful host. We enjoyed the pool after a day at the ballpark. It was nice to sit out on the porch and drink my coffee while listening to the birds and sipping on wine at night while admiring the fire flies.
My family and I rented this property as a place to land during our move up to Georgia. The host was friendly and accommodating even though I messed up the booking in more than one way. The property is amazing and beautifully maintained. The sounds of nature greet you as soon as you step outside and the scent of the fresh forest air fills you with a sense of calm to help rejuvenate a weary soul. The coziness of the interior decor adds to the welcoming atmosphere of the converted barn structure. Though we had to cut our stay short, it was a sorely needed deep breath from the stress of being on the road. I would recommend this property to anyone needing to slow down for a bit and find themselves.
Our overall stay was very nice. We are familiar with the area. We got in very late, and ended up extending our stay. Our hosts, Constance and her husband, were very kind. The guest house was a converted barn. The stone floor was a little chilly but overall the barn was warm and cozy. Bedrooms were on the second floor up a beautiful black rod iron spiral staircase. A little tricky when having to use the bathroom in the middle of the night! The bathroom was adequate and located on the main floor. It had a small shower, sink, and little sitting area. The kitchen was small but functional; fridge, microwave, oven, Keurig for coffee. We used bottled water for our coffee as water is very hard. It's a rural setting, no horses but the two dogs were very sweet and chickens stayed in the coop because it was cold. There is a small tv on the main level. It's a good place to read a book or watch the birds and squirrels. There is a washer and dryer on main level. We didn't use the fire pit. Our hosts were very responsive and kind.
Beautiful place!! Constance was very nice and helpful!! My little girls were so happy that they could feed the horses and we enjoyed the privacy of the pool and the guest house. Constance is a great host and I would definitely recommend!
Extremely dated furniture and could be cleaner. Overall, the location met my needs. My daughter loves horses and the access of the ranch to the horse stables was a great way to celebrate her birthday.
Its a nice quaint farm house. my kids had a lot of fun feeding the horses and playing with the very friendly dog. They still talk about it. We made a fire in the fire pit, that was so much, fun my husband probably had the most fun making the fire, the kids roasted marshmallows, made s'mores and loved it. The host is very nice and attentive. Downside is that we loss power due to getting hit by the storm so there is no water and electricity for a day and a half, we got water delivered to us in pails to flush the toilet, we had to go to a nearby city with power to stay at the hotel, its out of their control as half the city is without power but they tried their best to make it as comfortable as it can be. I suggest investing in generator for the future. I also suggest washing the sheets and blankets for every guest change, they have odd smell, I had to look for fresh sheets to use. I brought Lysol spray with me for this trip just as a precaution and I was glad I did because for the beds i cant find fresh sheets for I sprayed the Lysol on. Overall it was a great stay but i suggest making those changes.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was perfect for our needs: just far enough to get away, but close enough to town to make quick trips to a grocery store. Our family especially enjoyed watching fireflies while sitting on the rocking bench on the porch at dusk. The kids loved seeing the horses and petting them!
While we rented during the summer, we can easily imagine making smores using the brick fire pit and taking in views of changing leaves during the fall.
A beautiful property and a gracious host. The guest house is situated far enough from the main house to feel private, but close enough for easy access to the large, lovely pool. We enjoyed the porchâceiling fans and shady woods kept it comfortable even with temps in the high 80s. The country setting is perfect for relaxing, swimming, and enjoying long walks. The house itself is comfortably appointed. There were no issues for us, but I would note the spiral staircase for other travelers. It might not be the place for very small children or anyone with mobility issues.
A great spot for a family vacation! The children loved the horses and enjoyed nights around the camp fire. Property owner was very cordial and helpful .
I am originally from the Detroit area, but have lived all over the States and in Europe. I love nature, traveling, history, food and sports. I enjoy sharing my place with others and getting to know other people.
