Thank you for your feedback. We do want to clarify several points for future guests reading this review. At check-in, the guest contacted us at 4:53 PM after having difficulty accessing the home due to entering the code incorrectly. We responded at 4:55 PM and asked her to retry the provided code. She successfully entered the home at 4:57 PM using that same code. The code did not need to be reset or changed. The only other concern communicated to us during the stay involved the outdoor garbage bins. A group of guests had checked out earlier that same day, so there was naturally some trash already in the exterior bins. Both large bins still had available capacity at check-in, which was documented by our cleaning team. We have no concern with guests filling the available bins during their stay. However, by the end of this three-night reservation, both bins were completely full and approximately 10 additional extra-large black trash bags had been left in the garage, requiring an additional dump run. We were surprised to read the additional concerns regarding the sliding doors, door lock, ice maker, and floors, as none of these issues were reported to us at any point during the stay. After receiving this review, our team inspected the sliding doors and locking mechanisms, and all were functioning properly. We do, of course, recommend that children be supervised by an adult when accessing outdoor areas. Our cleaning team also documented the ice maker functioning properly prior to the guest’s arrival. Likewise, the hardwood floors are thoroughly cleaned as part of every turnover. These are natural hardwood floors with grooves and texture, so after three days of use by a larger group, debris can become visible in those areas. Had any concern about the floors, ice maker, doors, or locks been reported during the stay, we would have been happy to inspect and address it immediately. Regarding the $170 mentioned in the review, this was not an unexplained additional charge. It was a deduction from the guest’s security deposit for additional cleaning and waste disposal following checkout. Glitter was found extensively throughout the home and required additional time and labor from our cleaning team to remove. In addition, approximately 10 extra-large black trash bags were left in the garage after both large exterior bins had already been completely filled. A couple of additional bags would not have been an issue; however, this quantity of excess waste following a three-night stay was well beyond a normal amount and required a separate dump run. We take guest concerns seriously and always want the opportunity to address issues when they arise. Unfortunately, the majority of the concerns described in this review were never communicated to us during the three-night stay, so we were not given an opportunity to inspect or resolve them at the time.
