Chalet Timbers - Light and modern sleeps 6 - Stunning views

Timbers is a recently-built (completed June 2016) duplex chalet conveniently located between the Perrières ski area and the centre of Les Gets village. The chalet itself, built in solid wood in the local style, occupies the first and second floors of the building, providing uninterrupted views across to the slopes.

Outside there is a parking area, with one covered space dedicated to the chalet. In the basement there is a lockable, private, boot/ski room. This is equipped with heated boot and glove dryers and a ski/snowboard rack and provides ample room to store bags, skis, etc.

The chalet is accessed through the front door, located on the far side up a short flight of steps. On entering there is a separate WC with hand basin on the left. Beyond that there is a large laundry room housing the boiler, washing machine, tumble dryer and a further heated glove rack. There is plenty of space here to hang ski jackets/coats and footwear.

To the right of the entrance hall there is a spacious double bedroom with fitted wardrobes. The large ensuite bathroom has a hand basin, WC, heated towel rail and a corner bath with shower over. This room has views over the garden.

The wide corridor leads to an open-plan kitchen, dining room with table seating six, reception area and lounge. The contemporary L-shaped fitted kitchen is well equipped with Bosch appliances (dishwasher, ceramic hob, fan oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, filter coffee machine, large integrated fridge freezer) and granite work surfaces. There is a flat screen UHD television with both French and English channels available, an Xbox/DVD player and fast internet throughout the chalet. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are installed. The lounge area benefits from a Contura wood burning stove and logs are provided for guests. Efficient underfloor heating ensures a cosy environment during the winter months. The living room has large patio doors that open onto the balcony with wonderful views across to the ski-slopes beyond.

On the second floor there are two bedrooms both with fitted wardrobes. Each bedroom has an ensuite shower room. These are equipped with both a power and rain shower, hand basin, WC and a heated towel rail. In these bedrooms the beds can be set up either as two singles, or clipped and zipped together to form superking sized beds.

Accessing the ski slopes is possible either by walking to the slopes at Les Perrieres (about 5 minutes), walking to the village (about 7.5 minutes) or catching the free shuttle bus from the Perrieres stop. In the evening there is a paid shuttle bus available.

For guests requiring ski equipment hire, the local ski hire shop situated at the foot of the Perrieres slopes allows guests who utilise their services to store their equipment there, free of charge, at the end of each day.

The recently opened Sherpa supermarket is less than a five-minute walk from Timbers and is open seven days a week.
