The condo would be nice during primetime, but not off-season.
We actually ended up moving to another location due to a few things. The property was under construction and we were not informed that the pool was drained. When we walked into the condo after unloading the truck, we saw a mouse in the condo and the smoke detector was beeping due to a low battery. The management company moved us to Tidewater. We were bummer to move away from our friends but my kids were scared of that mouse.
The location is beautiful. 2nd floor makes it so much easier to take steps rather than wait for elevator. Pool area was beautiful. The only thing that concerned me was that there was a hole in the ceiling above the shower and the guest bath. We plugged it with paper towels .with paper towels
We spent more time at the grocery store and Walmart than anyone should ever have to on vacation. This place did not even have salt and pepper. 1 roll of TP left in each bathroom, and one travel size shower kit for 4 women. No waters, no coffee, no bottle opener, nothing to cook with. No beach supplies what so ever, despite being on a beach and having a pool. Umbrellas for the beach were $45/day. Parking was $85 mandatory fee. We rented a golf cart but couldnât park it in the parking structure, apparently not allowed. We were not told. Returned our cart because of this, but paid for it anyway. Pool and hot tub were filthy and over crowded. Hot tub jets didnât work. Extensive cleaning rules, despite paying a cleaning fee. Will not book there again.
Good Location, enjoyed the pool and beach access. Room was pretty good but when were there not well cleaned. Parking for this places was a headache for a bigger car.
The property was clean, the staff was friendly, and the pool was set up perfectly for kids of all ages. If you have older kids, you have a perfect view of them in the pool from the balcony of this stay. The onsite bar and restaurant were both good, making the property even more convenient, never having to leave the beach during the day! We will keep this on our list to rent again for sure!
Loved the second floor view from our balcony and easy access to parking and the stairs getting to the pool. They sure take great care of the grounds and appreciate the facility cleanliness and security. Best beach!
Cons:
The master bedroom bed was extremely uncomfortable. The middle of the bed was sunken in/broke.
The pull out bed on the couch was worn out and had food crumbs inside.
The reserved parking spot was in a corner nook next to a large concrete pillar. Unless you have a tiny compact car parking will be a NIGHTMARE!
The unit itself is outdated with worn out/dirty trim / older appliances.
The HVAC cooling system didnât seem to cool consistently.
Check in process is somewhat inconvenient as well as the $85 fee plus having to wear lime green wrist bands for access. If you have small kids like I do itâs difficult keeping them on them in one piece.
Pros:
Parking spot is on the same floor as condo so quick access.
Quick access to beach.
Close to St. Andrews state park and other attractions.
Property was clean, nicely decorated, and we loved being on the second floor! We were nervous it would be too noisy, but it was not at all! We were able to avoid the elevators the whole visit. We enjoyed having the reserved parking spot on the same level. It made going out to dinner and unloading and loading car super easy!
Kitchen definitely has the bare essentials. Kitchen needs more pots and pans, larger sizes of mixing bowls, and baking sheet
There are no extra blankets for sleeping.. living room couch needs a blanket as well
second level is nice to have for sure. Didnât need to use the elevators once
The assigned parking is nice.. there is no rhyme or reason for the numbers for parking so when you first get there.. have to drive around to find your assigned spot
Need to bring your own beach towels
Resort was kept nice along with the beach itself
Master has only 1 sink
Too much big furniture in the small master. Kept running into the bed post since little walkway
Overall it was a good experience
Just some small things that could help
We would stay again
Great location. Great pool. Really liked being on the 2nd floor for access to pool and beach without having to wait for the elevator. It could get a little loud at night but that is to be expected in this size complex. My only complaint about cleaning is the tub backed up with water our 1st night. My husband pulled Big Foot out of the drain and it was good to go.
Condo was as advertised in the pictures. Good amount of space for the 6 of us.
The condo was clean and as described. The fan in the second bathroom needs to be replaced but was not a problem.
The staff were busy, friendly and helpful.
The second floor unit is VERY convenient as it had started raining hard and the elevators were not working. Leaving many walking up the stairs. The walk from parking to our condo was easy and to get to the pool area was just a flight of stairs down. We NEVER had to use the elevator.
The assigned parking worked as expected. We were a little worried that someone would just park in our spot but we never had an issue.
The pool area (including indoor pool) was clean and the grill and bar area were open. Also, we did go to the onsite coffee and doughnut shop. Both coffee and doughnuts were very good and not expensive. This was a good breakfast option when we did not want to venture out for breakfast.
The location was ok. We are used to staying on the western end of the strip so we really did not have much experience with the east end. The walmart was not as clean and there were the kids hanging out in the parking lot doing whatever they do. It just seemed a little rougher than what we were used to.
We tried to squeeze in a trip before school let out but we still caught the rowdy bunch of kids who were hell-bent on partying "til the sun comes up" I doubt they made it. This resort from what we saw seemed to draw the younger party types which is ok until they start up after quiet hours. The one other problem which happened 3 times was someone thought it would be cool and pulled the fire alarm no less than 3 times while we were on site. Once around the time we left for walmart which left us kinda concerned but hey we were not onsite. We could see the building from walmart and when we left the lights quit blinking. One other time when we were returning from dinner and then Sunday morning at 1AM which was really not cool since the system announces in the unit itself so it riled up the kids. Needless to say we just ignored the alarm until it went off. It is sad that we did not care; seems like a setup for a tragedy if something actually does go wrong.
This is not a ding on the condo or the host just an overall issue with keeping the resort orderly. Again this was our first visit so I cannot speak to this being a chronic problem. There were plenty of families of all ages there and the facilities were in good order. We would not stay again we are just used to a more civil resort.
The condo was perfect for a family of 4. It appeared to have some updates in the kitchen. It could use some more kitchenware if you plan on cooking your meals there. Being on the second floor was perfect, the elevator was often slow and very busy.
Check in was terrible. Could not unload at front door. Had to park down a steep ramp, push loaded cart back up that STEEP ramp, maneuver through heavy doors and go down corridors that at a glance did not exist (with no help from staff until shamed into it). Furniture uncomfortable and broken down. Mattress that sharply sloped to the middle. Heat would automatically turn on but would not turn off- had to manually do so. Toilet that took 2 to 3 times to flush. Had to purchase a coffee pot. No working can opener or storage food containers. Fought with internet service every single day.
was able to use assigned parking spot first night. went out for lunch next day and when we got back a truck was in our spot. went to management of parking and they said it was an maintenance worker. they couldn't or wouldn't make him move.
