Great Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed the apartment. Everything we needed with a spectacular view. I miss waking up to it already! The unit was clean and had everything we needed. Never a long wait for the lift and the laundry room on the ground level came in handy. The building is older but kept up very well. It’s a secure building and you must use your fob to get to your floor. The building staff were friendly and helpful. We did not rent a car and didn’t need to. There’s a bus stop right out front and it took us all over the island. The beach is very close maybe a little over a block. Perfect to walk to or watch the surf. I found booking my stay and communicating with Captain Cook to be easy and reasonable. I will definitely refer this company and Park Waikiki Heights to my friends & family.

As Good As It Gets

I worked remotely here for a month in October and couldn't have had a better experience. The place is so beautiful and clean and has an amazing ocean view. The location is prime. It's two blocks from the ocean, next to some great restaurants, a few blocks form the grocery and even has the best surf shop with $10 rentals on the way to the water. I couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Good location but...

Reviewer Comments: Staff first - Between Vincent and Paul, I believe both gentlemen did what they could to ensure we felt comfortable with our stay and we were properly informed of the basics. Both were very pleasant to work with. On days we experienced major issues, Vincent did what he could to assist to remediate said issues.As for the unit. It's in an amazing location, and amazing view of the ocean. Everything is just within walking distance. The breeze is almost continuous. Just about everything we needed was there. However, the unit is in need of TLC.What we weren't a fan of:1. The unit was not thoroughly cleaned. Floors were visibly clean but sticky in the entire unit. Walking around barefoot lad to black sticky feet - We cleaned/scrubbed it ourselves. On the lanai, there were plenty of shards of broken glass beneath the granite table. Chairs in the Lanai need a serious wash.2. Issues with door being too stiff and needing weatherproofing. Close it and you can hear the wind whirring. Key also broke during the first day. Paul came to the rescue!3. Cascading issues from water main on the street ultimately led to plumbing issues (no water in bathroom sink) and A/C issues. A/C broke for almost a week during the hottest days. When it supposedly got fixed, it leaked like a waterfall in the middle of the night (I sent videos to the manager). I ended up buying an electric fan to get by.4. Sliding door needs to be fixed. It constantly gets stuck 5. Cables for TV/WiFi in the bedroom is a mess. At least tuck it away or hide it. It's an eyesore.6. Cockroaches. I know were on an island...but it's an issue when they start showing themselves near the sink in the middle of the night. An indicator that the unit isn't being cleaned thoroughly.I simply wanted to provide transparency on the need to improve the condition of the unit including its cleanliness. It's in a prime spot. I wouldn't recommend the unit to fr

Well equipped kitchen but a foodie might want more. Comfortable bed and a great bathroom design that makes the most out of a small space. Could use a new sofa. Christmas in Hawaii 2022 🍍🎄

Our accommodation has a bit of history to us as it was the same room we spent our 2019 vacation in. So we knew it was the room we wanted on this trip!Our family is my Wife, Myself & 3 children (10, 3 & 1 year olds) - we requested a porta-crib and on-site parking for our whole stay. The room was spacious, clean & the decor was fun & beachy... all the things you want for a Hawaiian getaway including beach chairs & bodyboard. The staff in the building were very friendly and everything is very secure.Our experience with Captain Cook Resorts was easy and they took care of all our booking needs and all the last minute changes. Thank you so much again team!We highly recommend both the room we stayed in and the wonderful team that looks after it.We’re already planning our next trip for Christmas this year! Clean, Spacious, Fun, and Super Convenient

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at this unit at Waikiki Park Heights was perfection. Being that we’re regulars to this side of the island, we already knew that the location was excellent (immediate access to the main beach, dining, and shopping). But we were very pleasantly surprised with the suite. The high-up ocean view was excellent for AM surf-checks and people-watching alike. The layout of the interior was also superior. My daughters and wife enjoyed the large bedroom (with TV and AC) while I enjoyed the pull-out sofa bed in the living room (also with TV and AC). The bathroom was also laid out well, with a separate lavatory, sink, and shower that allowed everyone to do what they needed to do at the same time. Furthermore, the kitchen was clean and fully equipped for at-home dining. The lanai was equally accommodating for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Moreover, the decor was filled with island-flare.One thing visitors are often concerned about when it comes to condo-stays on the island are insects. During the entire month there was NOT one single insect to be found at this condo. It was clean, sanitized, and a breath of fresh air from what you typically find in the same budget range in Waikiki. Lastly, on-site staff (from management to security personnel) were friendly helpful, and loaded with ALOHA spirit.Well done. We’ll be back!
