Fishing Cove est une maison familiale entiĂšrement Ă©quipĂ©e de huit chambres et six salles de bain au bord de l'eau nichĂ©e dans une forĂȘt de pins luxuriante. Notre maison de vacances au bord de l'eau est sur une crique trĂšs privĂ©e avec 2 acres de propriĂ©tĂ© au bord de l'eau et un grand quai privĂ© et 3 cales de bateau. AccĂšs facile en voiture ou en bateau depuis la baie de Chesapeake.

Buvez votre café du matin sur notre terrasse de 12 'x 72' en observant les oiseaux et les cerfs. Poissons et crabes de notre jetée. Nagez dans notre piscine. Notre grande maison accueillante a tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour des vacances détendues sur la rive est, y compris des caractéristiques d'accessibilité - ascenseur électrique pour fauteuils roulants, rampes et larges portes du rez-de-chaussée.

Situé sur Fishing Creek au large de Little Choptank, à 14 km de Cambridge, dans le Maryland, nous sommes prÚs de Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, et notre littoral attire une incroyable variété d'oiseaux aquatiques. We loved our stay in Cambridge! Such a peaceful, quiet location but also convenient to town. My kids lived in the pool, and I’d recommend little water shoes as the lining is textured and chewed up their feet a bit. The house is tidy, but lived in, which is perfect for us as we travel with 6 kids 8 and under. We started and ended each day at the dock, which is secluded from the bustle of boats and incredibly quiet and serene. Overall, it was a great week. Check in was easy, no issues with the WiFi, easy trash removal, and very simple check out instructions. It’s also worth noting (because I’m not sure it’s in the description), there are several cots tucked into a few of the bedroom closets, making sharing rooms with littles incredibly easy. On another note, the description states there is a high chair, so we didn’t pack one, and we were never able to track it down, so be sure to bring one if you have smaller kiddos!

If I could give zero stars I would. Do not stay here. The septic system broke and the owner refuses to refund our money despite ruining our whole vacation. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with VRBO.

The house was great! But there is no hot tub.

The only negative thing I can say about this house, and unfortunately it is kind of a big deal, is that the VRBO listing very clearly says that this house has a hot tub.This house does not have a hot tub. This house has never had a hot tub, and the owner does not know why VRBO says the house has a hot tub.Anyway, once we found out, it was too late to switch bookings and we made the best of the house. It is a great house! But, weirdly, we had to scroll through 4 years of VRBO reviews from guests to find any mention of the hot tub expectation - we found one from 2020.Thanks,Noel

Great relaxing spot!

We were a group of siblings and some children celebrating Thanksgiving together in this lovely and well kept home. The communication with Virginia was great. She was very receptive of our needs. The rooms were very spacious. The house clean and well equipped. We would love to return during warm days to be able to enjoy the pool, fishing in the backyard and more walks. We recommend this home!

Our family group of age 3 to 75 had a wonderful time at the house. Everything was just as described in the listing. Everyone especially enjoyed the pool and deck area. The beds were comfortable and it was fabulous to have 6 bathrooms for our group. The only issue we had was the bugs. Be sure to bring your insect repellant!

Delightful Thanksgiving Weekend

This home was just right for our 22 member family. The deck was a delightful place to relax in the early morning sun and the kids devised so many games to play there throughout the day. It is a bird watchers paradise in the early mornings and evenings. The board walk to the water was so peaceful and quiet each morning. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. The house accommodated our two folks with disabilities -the lift and so many first floor bedrooms were accessible and easy to use. The beds were great throughout and plenty of bathrooms. Ginger, the owner, was so responsive and generous. It was an easy house to live in and to enjoy everyone being together. Thank you

this was a terrific house for our big family, plenty of room for everyone!!! loved the seclusion of it. we spent most of our time on the back deck and in the beautiful pool, caught crabs off the dock and did some kayaking, i would definitely rent it again, thanks Virginia for sharing your home!!!!

This property is very private and a perfect getaway. Loved the idea of having your own bathrrom. Pool was fun. House needs some deep cleaning. But, when you have 6 adult women, we see things others do not. All in all, we had a great fun time. Ages of women were 60 - 81.

Our week at Fishing Cove

We had a great time at Fishing Cove. We traveled to Assateaugue Island, Hoopers Island, went canoeing, swimming in the pool, had family dinners, visit with relatives. It was a happy week. Just remember to bring your mosquito repellant and sunblock.

Family reunion vacation.

The location and pool were great. We brought our own kayaks and found it easy to launch our flotilla from a space near the dock where we did some fishing. The pool was great and it had lots of lounge chairs which was a big plus. As to the interior, the recently renovated was beautiful and well stocked. We could for a multitude easily. The layout of the house was great for housing several families with teenagers and a baby. On the disappointing side we’re the beds. They are full size not queen Iin the suites which does not work well for two adults. In the twin rooms the mattresses were too small for the beds which is okay for children but not for older teens. Maybe the next Reno project? All in all, a great vacation.

Family Reunion

I wanted to give this a four star rating but there are a few shortcomings with this property. The positives are the owner is a delight and responds quickly to issues, the pool and deck are great, kitchen well equipped, plenty of seating around deck. The negatives are the mattresses are old and need replaced, one of the deck umbrellas is broken, towel rack broken, ceiling fan not working, rowboats advertised on website not useable. Other things that are not the fault of owner but renters should be aware of: the inlet to the bay is full of jellyfish and not swimmable and mosquitoes and biting flies are abundant. Bring lots of bug spray and be prepared to use it. Having said this my family had a fun time and the scenery is lovely.

With 3 married children and five grandchildren we added a second floor to Fishing Cove to accommodate all of us as well as our friends. When our family isn't using Fishing Cove we offer it to other families so they can enjoy it as much as we do!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We bought this house because of its PERFECT location. It is only 60 miles from Annapolis so getting there is easy, going from the hustle of city life to perfect peace in an hour's drive. It started out as a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house that we enlarged and improved to fit the needs of our own large extended family. Then we decided to offer it to other large families for their vacations so they can enjoy it too!
