Great location right on the edge of the old town. House is nicely appointed and well equipped although bathrooms need up dating. Lots of stairs but rewarded by great terrace on top floor. Paid parking in front of house with large free carpark within 5 walk minutes
Laurence's house is comfortable and very well situated. It is right next to St. Remy's historic district, where narrow winding streets are filled with interesting shops, restaurants and art galleries. The small roof terrace was great for at-home meals and relaxation. You don't need a car. But if you have one (as we did), the town is a good base for day trips throughout the region, and the free parking lot is only about a 5-minute walk from the house. Laurence was a great host, meeting us at the property to give us a thorough tour and promptly responding to a few questions that came up later.
Laurence's house truly feels like a home. The furniture is low key and comfortable, there are interesting art works around, and the kitchen is well equipped. There are a lot of stairs to climb multiple times a day, so you must be able to do it, but if you are able, it adds good exercise to your day. The house is perfectly located on the main circle around St. Remy, so when you step out the door you are immediately part of everything, but with the windows closed it is quiet and peaceful within. Laurence herself was a wonderful host, greeting us in person when we arrived and assisting and checking in on us when one of our group had medical issues. We would go back in a heartbeat.
