The apartment was pretty much perfect - spacious for 2 people with all the amenities. Yes, it was on the 4th floor and the steps were steep, and there was a lot of traffic at night, but the description was clearly posted.
The only issue we had was (a) the pillows were not at all comfortable and (b) the cutlery basket was too high to see where the knives and forks were, and it could have caused a nasty cut.
But the beds were comfortable, the decor was great, lots of storage, comfortable sofa, lots of towels, sheets, etc, china, saucepans, glasses, lots of power points.
Good shower, good washing machine, dishwasher, nespresso coffee maker, toaster, microwave, fridge, hob and oven. Room for dinner table and 4 chairs as well as breakfast bar.
Looking across the rooftops, great view when the sun rises.
Excellent shops - great markets too! Lots of cafes, for a quick snack or a full dinner, it's all there. 5 minutes walk to the chateau, 15 minutes walk to catch a train for Paris (very cheap public transport). I spent 2 days on my own and was completely happy just walking around the town.
Highlights: music in the gardens with fountains; the vegetable gardens at the Trianon; the museum of Toile de Jouy (which should be promoted more, it was fascinating!)
I would highly recommend this apartment (but not for the disabled)
