Overall Great

We loved our stay at this cabin overall. I gave a 4 rating for the items mentioned in the next paragraph, but overall it was a great place and a great location. I'd consider buying it if it was for sale. Great location on a nice quiet cove but close to the main lake. House was even better than the photos. We were only given 2 kitchen garbage bags for 4 nights/5 days with 10 adults, 2 rolls of toilet paper for most bathrooms, no rolls of toilet paper at all for the powder room. The kitchen overall had most things you could need or something close enough to make do, but it only had 9 forks and 9 spoons. There were some laundry detergent pods, but no dryer sheets or fabric softener. The grass was not mowed when we arrived and it had been long enough that it was going to seed. We had a Monday check out and someone arrived to cut the grass on Sunday while we were still there and trying to vacation. He did ask if he should leave and come back another time, but we didn't feel comfortable deciding that. Given the nightly rate, owners fee and the rental company fees, the amount of supplies that were left in the home was shameful. Do better on that please. The master bathroom shower seems to be maybe a shower that is meant for a camper? Very small. Other showers were fine. But the basement has a skee ball game, arcade games, etc. that aren't shown in the photos. Overall we had a wonderful stay. Water was great. There were beach towels, life jackets and some inflatables.

Family Fun

We loved everything; the lake was perfect. the house was big and cozy, with a basement game room for everyone to enjoy. Life jackets and floats were on site. however, we brought our own along with paddle boards. the only thing lacking was enough TP for 10 people and the wifi kept going out, but once we found the router we refreshed it every morning. We left TP for the next family. ;)

Wonderful Repeat Booking at this Cabin

This was the second summer we have rented this cabin and we absolutely love it! The cabin itself, great activity room on the ground floor, location in a quiet cove, fantastic dock and boat ramp and customer service are exactly what my extended family needs (my wife, two kids and their families including 4 grandkids). I'm certain we will stay here in the future:-)

Awesome

The home was very clean and great amenities from the downstairs pool table, arcade games and basketball game. Outside had a great deck with gas grill and fireplace. There was also a wood burning fire pit by the dock. Several life vest and floats for swimming in the lake. The home was in a quiet cove, we enjoyed our time and highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing lake location!

Beautiful house. Clean, great location on the lake. Everyone enjoyed our stay from grandparents to toddle. If you have a boat bring it. If not rent one from Lake Life Pontoon Rentals

Great place but tricky drive to get there

This house is amazing and water is 10 yards from the back of the home. Very well appointed home with plwenty of pillows and blankets. All the cooking utensils we needed and grill was easy to use. Nice dock for our boat. Highly recommend this place if you don't need to make too many trips away from the house during your stay.

Beautiful house exceptionally well maintained! Beautiful views. Lots of room. Drive in is full of turns. Can’t say enough nice things about the house. Games available, nice docking system, patio for campfires. Steep driveway but awesome location.

Disappointed

The cabin itself if nice. It was very clean upon arrival. The kitchen is fully stocked with items to cook. It’s spacious and has entertainment for rainy days. A huge reason this cabin was booked was for the lake/view. It was heartbreaking to arrive to a very low/dry lake. It was very challenging to even get near the lake as the way down is very very steep. I would say this location is not kid or elderly adult friendly. The host was not very responsive to inquiries. We made the most of our trip but i would not book here again.

1 full bathroom for 4 bedrooms up stairs, 1 full bathroom downstairs in game room, 1 full bathroom on main floor for master bedroom and another 1/2 bathroom on main floor. Walls paper thin. Master bed needs updating. Should let people know in advance how low water level is starting in Oct.

Navy reunion

The house is absolutely beautiful!! As a true log home, sounds can be heard throughout. We did have access to the beautiful lake, but as adults over 65 it was quite a climb. The slope is much greater than it appears in pictures. They only left 4 rolls of TP for 10 adults for 6days and left a minimal amount of dishwasher tablets as well. We have been renting thru VRBO for some time and usually have great experiences. The wifi was out more than in. It seems someone had been working on the septic, but had not completed the job. It would run over behind the house and into the lake, bad smell. I would also like to deal with a local host/dealer. I hope they work these things out. We loved the location and the home. Thanks for sharing. Possibly hired a better crew to over the home locally.

Amazing lake house

Great spaces inside and out. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds. Beautiful views. Very quiet, peaceful setting. Wifi was in and out, but property managers and even owner were very helpful. However, being on the internet was not our priority as much as having a wonderful time as a family, which we did! One thing to note - If you are considering bringing a boat, especially a large one, be aware that it is a very steep and potentially dangerous approach to the boat launch area, which can only be done by backing quite a distance down a narrow driveway with several curves. We would definitely stay here again, however, we would launch our boat at a different location on the lake.

Okay property

Overall the property is okay. It is alot steeper than the photos appear. The boat ramp on the property is at a 45 degree angle. There is also not a great spot to turn a boat trailer around without having to back down the entire property. The house itself needs some TLC. Mainly the propane fire pit on the deck doesnt function properly and the wireless internet only worked on the bottom floor. The master bathroom door doesnt lock either. The treadmill in the photos was not on the property either. There was only 2 pool cues and 1 qas broke and not usable.

House and view were courteous on this property but the cleanliness was not so much. Lot of dust balls under the beds and the main floor bathroom smelled like urine so much that we had to move the rug on front of a toilet outside and it was very disgusting with stinky stains.

Immaculate

The cabin is beautiful and extremely well kept. We stay at Lake Douglas a few times a year, and this cabin is by far the nicest one we have stayed at. The game room downstairs was in perfect working order. The beds were comfortable. There was plenty of space for 4 adults and 8 children( ages 1-17). The view of the lake was spectacular. The doc was still in the water in early October. The ramp was very easy to navigate. The only possible negative for this cabin was that I had no phone service and the WiFi was not great. I could not work from it. My only suggestion is for child safety plugs in the outlets. Our stay was absolutely amazing. I would not hesitant at all to recommend this cabin to anyone!!

Looking for peace and tranquility

We enjoyed floating on the tubes in the cove. Water was delightful. Afternoon cocktails basking in the sun rocking in the rocking chairs was delightful as well. Spent good quality time with my family and grandkids.

Great House for a family Vacation

My family and I have started going to TN lake houses a couple years ago and we loved it. We wanted to make it a yearly thing. There is a pretty big group of us including some younger kids and we also have jet skis we like to use while we’re on vacation. Let me just say this house is perfect for all of this. To start it’s a beautiful house inside and out. The dock is easy to access and so is the boat ramp. The multiple levels in the home made it great for putting the younger kids to bed and the adults being able to stay up later hanging out. The main floor couch is SUPER comfortable, that was definitely talked about several times through out our stay. There is a pack and play, a clip on eating chair and a cute little ball pit for infants if you have small children. There are a lot of steps in the home so I would recommend bringing a gate. The bathrooms are great! The kitchen is great! The lower level was a huge hit as well, we definitely used the pool table and arcade games quite a bit. The views from the decks are so amazing as well, the sunset is a must see. Overall it was a great stay. Can’t wait to go back.

Beautiful house, spectacular views !

Since we'll be re-booking this property in 2024, we thought we'd share a few tips and pointers that may benefit future guest. Maintenance/housekeeping might do routine checks periodically, several things need to be checked, lamps work (some had switches that were wonky), gas fireplace outside the master suite was broken, the connector missing a part, the kitchen had only one dish towel and no dish rags. Two coffee pots in the kitchen, one-missing the pot, the second one was missing the filter basket. Kitchen cupboards could be more organized, like stuff with like stuff. The pool table couldn't be used as the cue sticks were all missing the tips, darts were missing as well. We must say however, the contact with the property management company was very professional and prompt, they even provided a bit of a cash refund for our inconvenience. Once the maintenance ticket was opened, we received a visit from a very friendly staff member - who made everything perfect. (with the exception of the gas firepit). Also, we were all puzzled as to why the outside firepit was built with all that beautiful stamped concrete but the area was not leveled first ??? Quite a challenge getting comfortable while you're sitting at an angle, on a lean. We managed just fine after we got used to it, and enjoyed our fires very much. Pool and darts in the evening before relaxing by the fire pit. We rent a house / beach house (MI) / cabin (TN) every year in the first week of August, and we all said THIS was one of the BEST we've had thus far. See you in 2024.
