Its a wonderful home to stay in. Ample room for 6 adults. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Location is great! Close to anything needed and far enough away from the traffic of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinberg. Great restaurants in Dandridge! We enjoyed time on the lake with a rental boat close by.
The place was awesome and had everything we needed. We had our children and granchildren with us. We loved our time there and will definitely return again!!
This property was perfect for a family getaway! Beautiful views from the porch of Douglas Lake, perfect to wake up and enjoy a cup of coffee while watching the sunrise. Kids can play, adults could relax it was perfect!
We booked it during Christmas was just what we needed they put us a full size Christmas tree in the house decorated everything my wife and the kids loved it everything was like they said it was going to be The only problem we had was the hot water went out they came immediately the electrician came fix the hot water and they brought us donuts and coffee for breakfast for the inconvenience I will be booking this house again
We are 2 families stayed in here for 4 days. Enjoyed sitting in porch with beautiful views in the evening. It has Campfire and hot tub. Good source of information had in living room and had many adventures near by locations.
Karen was a great host and responded in a timely fashion. She left us a delicious pumpkin pie to enjoy, items for sâmores and water. The house had basically everything we needed. Everyone said by far this is the best house we have stayed in and enjoyed to the fullest.
We had an amazing time at this property. Close ride into Dandridge. ( which is such a nice little town full of history.) And a quick ride into all the tourist attractions. Accommodation we perfect for our big family. Property owners we great. Would stay again, looking forward to seeing it in the spring or warmer months.
Great place overall, especially the deck! Website should make it clear that there is NO Lake access. The picture is deceptive. But we did have a relaxing stay.
My family loved this house! Itâs perfectly decorated and well stocked. The owners left us snacks, firewood for the fire pit and a sâmores kit, which my son loved. The porch is huge with plenty of comfortable seating, deck lights and grill, and the lake view is beautiful. The owners were quick to respond with any questions and truly want their guests to enjoy themselves. Just a short trip from Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg with plenty of shops and restaurants close by. We canât wait to return!
We took our boat, kayaks, and two vehicles and there was plenty of parking space. A public boat ramp was close by and there is light to moderate boat traffic on the lake. Cherokee lake nearby is also a good boating option with light traffic. We rented ATVâs in Pidgeon Forge, hiked to Midnight Hole in the Smokies, kayaked the river below the dam, and enjoyed some of the tourist attractions in nearby Gatlinburg and Pidgeon Forge. So much to do! We had a great time.
We had an awful experience at a different rental and were left without a place to stay. Since we had travelled from many states away we were in a bind and needed to figure something out quick. The owners were so accommodating and did everything they could to get us in there quickly and be sure we had the best time. We could not be more grateful!!! We hope to be back.
Our family really enjoyed our stay at Smokey Mountain Hideaway. Unique property with lots of space and several zones... The entertainment zone included a foosball table and an arcade console full of classic games enjoyed by teen to adults. Hot tub had an awesome view of the lake. Most favorite feature was the full length covered porch that our family spent most our time. Having four bathrooms was great. The lake location was ideal for our fisherman with affordable boat rentals nearby. We also took a couple trips into Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg but happy to return to the peaceful lakeside retreat. Our entire family enjoyed this property.
We really enjoyed the view if the lake from that awesome porch. The inside was decorated beautifully and so spacious. We had everything we needed for a wonderfully relaxing vacation. Recommended highly.
We rented this house for a week. We were a family of nine ages ranging from 7 to 72. It was clean and decorated cute with Lake House Decor.
The hot tub was enjoyed, the Pac Man game was a huge hit by all both young and old. The huge porch was in my opinion the best place to relax and take in the beautiful view of Lake Douglass.
It was definitely a plus to have 4 bathrooms and we all felt like we had our own space. We enjoyed coming back to the peaceful house after spending time in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge to recharge.
We also rented a nice boat just a couple minutes up the road and enjoyed our time on the water which was one of our favorite days.
The owners were quick to respond to any questions and they had the house stocked pretty well. They even had two different types of coffee pots. Check-In instructions were easy and all went smoothly. It was a great week making family memories. Great Area!
Our son graduated from UT and we rented this property so everyone could stay together. It was an easy 30 minute drive to the graduation and a relaxing weekend with the family. Had a wonderful BBQ on the deck with cornhole and music and then sâmores at night by the fire pit. It was very relaxing and the host, Karen was fantastic. I highly recommend this property as a relaxing getaway or if you need to do anything at UT and donât mind being 30 minutes away.
