We got this place to accommodate a family vacation that we've been wanting for some time. Everything was as described, and the host was on the spot when a couple of items cropped up during our stay. We very much enjoyed the salt-water pool and the personal pier. We caught some fish (including a crab!) which the grandkids had a blast doing. Even had a surprise blue heron show up to see if we had extra bait. :) Use the shrimp to catch the small cowfish, then use those fish as the bait to pull in the larger fish. The equipment in the shared storage left a bit to be desired (old carts, one good rod & reel), and the barbeque needs to be replaced due to use. Plenty of furniture is available, so seating isn't an issue. I would like to see some of the railings and wood on the pier updated, as some spots were an issue when going barefoot. I understand it goes with standard maintenance, but it would be nice. We unfortunately had to leave two days before checkout due to Hurricane Isaias, but would love to come back again!

Host was very welcoming & available. House was very clean & tidy & stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The pool was pleasantly warm & access to the dock was amazing! Short walk to the beach was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay & we will definitely be back!

Very good place to stay

The house was big enough for all our family members, the pier was perfect for fishing and the pool was nice and warm. We had a very good time and had a great Thanksgiving week there.

Thanks for your note/review. We are fortunate to have an incredible location on the water, with a pool and pier...and also be on a quiet street straight to the beach entrance......and we do try to go the extra mile with providing extras like the full size outdoor refrigerator/freezer, hot water outdoor shower, beach carts, beach chairs, beach toys, coolers, boogie boards (if available), pool floats and toys etc. Always makes packing a little easier!

Great location! Beach was much closer than we had thought. The house had tons of beach supplies as well. Kids and the dogs loved it. We look forward to another beach vacation in the future.

So glad you all enjoyed. Yes, its amazing to be on the beautiful lagoon, with sunsets and also have direct access to the Gulf. A natural oasis with a beautiful pool, pier, and tons to do whether enjoying the Gulf Beach, kayaking on the lagoon, fishing, or walking/biking on the path in front of the property. All within a convenient walk to the local restaurant, ice cream and convenience store.

Wonderful Stay

We absolutely enjoyed staying at your beautiful home. Perfect location, quiet, and peaceful. The fishing dock was a favorite for my family who loves to fish, and the easy access to the ocean was a major plus. Every about our stay was lovely. Thank you so much!

Relaxing stay!

Great stay with a two block walk to the ocean/beach! Clean home with everything you need provided. My favorite part was the beautiful sparkling clear heated pool! Beds were also very comfortable and all of us said we slept great.

We were a big family group, and the house was perfect for us… plenty of space with a huge, open living and kitchen area. The location was phenomenal, 2 short blocks to the beach, and with lagoon access right on the property. One thing I didn’t realize was that the property is a duplex, and the pool is shared between the two sides. Just something to note for those expecting total privacy with the pool. In re-reading the listing, it is noted quite far down in the description. But all worked out fine for us, and we had a really wonderful stay. Would absolutely return and recommend!

Great vacation

The property was awesome. The location was perfect between the beach and the bay. There isn’t full over full bunks anymore and the sectional has been switched out for 2 sofas but we made it work. Definitely would stay again.

Nora, so glad you hear the word "awesome". thanks for the great review! Just for clarity on the bunks for others.. we removed the full over full bunk bed and had 2 sets of bunk beds (twin over twin) built in that still sleeps 4. Super strong. We also added a wall and sliding barn door enclosure; a big upgrade. We constantly upgrade furniture and don't do sleeper sofas anymore because they are uncomfortable and break. Instead, we provide a big queen air mattress that guests have told us they prefer. Again, so glad you enjoyed the house and we think the location on the bay and to the Gulf is hard to beat! Hope to see you again.

My family and I spent our Christmas at this house and it was perfect for us! We were a mix of adults and children. It was lovely and very centrally located to the beach and all activities. We loved it!

Perfect NYE location

Family with multiple generations loved the house and heated pool. Also used the grill. Walk to the beach was less than 5 minutes. Would definitely stay again.

So glad you enjoyed. The property location is one of the best. Being on a secluded private lagoon waterfront lot with the pool, pier and private beach PLUS only a 2 min walk to the Gulf beach is what makes all difference! Being on one of the very few beach access streets is amazing …..location location.

Great property

Great house, lots of stairs. We enjoyed our stay very much. It’s was cold but kids still enjoyed the heated pool. Large kitchen and dining area. We would definitely rent again.

a great Thanksgiving

This property was great. It was the best of both world with the lagoon in the back and the beach right across the street. The only thing I would say is that it is not really a 5 bedroom because the bunks are really in the hallway but this was not really a problem for us. We all had a wonderful holiday.

Miss it already

We loved it and it was perfect for us! We didn’t realize it was a duplex until we arrived but our neighbors were very kind and polite as well. The pool was small but worked well, and the location was perfect. Any issue we had was resolved quickly. We will stay again!!
