The inside of the house was perfect for us. We had a family reunion a few miles away and needed a place to sleep for 6 adults. I suggest printing out the property details and instructions for entrance before you arrive The is absolutely no internet, WiFi or hot spot until you connect yo the house WiFi. The WiFi code is inside the house. We had to drive about 5 miles away in order to pull up the email with the door code. A little inconvenient, but totally avoidable if we had printed the instructions the day prior. We did not have time to use any of the outdoor amenities, but the screened porch and grill looked great! I would definitely recommend and stay here again in the future!
Property was great, clean, was easily accessible, and around the corner from King Pine. Kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, and a coffee maker. Bathrooms were clean with clean towels, and bedrooms had clean sheets. Great place!
We had so much fun on our family vacation! The house is way better than the pictures. The owner is very attentive and quick answering the messages, Anita showed she cared about our staying. We will definitely be back!
This place was amazing. Surrounded by nature & definitely isolated, this is exactly what you imagine when you think of getting away from things.House is as exactly as described.A few things to note: 1) you cell will probably lose signal at some point driving up the mountain. The house has great wifi once there.2) at least 30 mins from any place with restaurants or stores.3) the house water is well. May want to bring spring water for drinking rather than the tap.4) if you have an emergency event (hospital/police needed), the wait will be about 20 mins. This is much faster than expected seeing as the cabin is in the mountains. Just good to know if you are traveling with people who have medical issues.I loved this place & would definitely go again. Anita was an amazing host & always helpful!
Property is set back into the woods creating a very quiet home. Once inside itâs very much a cabin feel that was clean and well equipped for our stay. Would definitely stay here again.
A perfect getaway for the region. We loved this wonderful cabin. Secluded, but not remote, this was a wonderful launching pad for enjoying the Mt. Washington Valley. We'd love to return during autumn and winter to enjoy the area again!
My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend and loved everything about it. Very clean and well maintained. It was a humid weekend when we were there but large windows and ceiling fans really kept it cool. The house is very private, we saw no other homes from the lot. We will definitely stay again!
The four of us just spent five days in this charming, cozy cabin. It was secluded and quiet but not isolated. It was well equipped and provided everything we needed. The fireplace was a treat on a few chilly nights. It had such a comfortable feel about it that made you want to stay longer. The cabin was immaculately clean with comfortable beds and ample towels and washcloths. The owner was very personable and helpful whenever we needed a question answered. The area was lovely with activities to suit any age or interest. The foliage was beautiful! I absolutely recommend this cabin for anyone looking to enjoy everything New Hampshire has to offer. Itâs perfect!
The house was perfect for a âhome baseâ for a weekend of leaf-peeping for two small families. It was just the right amount of space and had everything we needed.
The fire pit was great but make sure to bring your own wood and kindling as most of what was in the surrounding woods was too damp to use.
The host was very helpful and communicative aside from the actual day of check-in. We reached out via the app and also left a voicemail with a question but never got a response. It wasnât super urgent but would have been nice to hear back.
Can't say enough!! My family and I can't wait to return this summer. I have been renting for several years and can honestly say this house is the best we have stayed in. It's clean and it's in a remote location (but only minutes from our favorite swimming spot - Silver Lake). Anita is very pleasant and great to deal with.
What a great cabin in the woods! Super private but close to town. If you're looking for a property in this part of New Hampshire, this is a good one! The house is very inviting; good beds, good kitchen, and a lovely fire circle outside to sit and watch the stars at night. White Lake State Park is a few miles away. We spent a day there and it was amazing; sandy beach and bbq grills! The towns around have mini golf, go carts, groceries, and restaurants - everything you need within a short drive. The owner is very friendly and quick to respond. I wish we could have stayed another week!
Everything was wonderful. The house was spotless. Anita was wonderful to work with.
I was disappointed that the 2 porches weren't ready for use. The screened in one was ripped and dirty and the back one was dirty with broken chairs and furniture without cushions.
Once those are taken care of the place would be perfect!
Absolutely perfect. My girlfriend and I were looking to get out to a nice secluded area to enjoy local food and scenery. This place was ideal. Fairly priced and a great commute across the Kancamagus highway to the Lincoln/ North Woodstock area where we had lunch at the Woodstock Inn brewery. The foliage was beginning and beautiful. The home has a wonderful vibe to it with a fresh wood smell complete with an outdoor firepit and inside fire place. The host was very responsive pleasant and hospitable. We had an amazing time during our stay. Strong wifi for music and movies. Great location for out of staters to reach the best of NH while still enjoying coffee on the porch and local cuisine. Would return and will highly recommend.
We arrived to find an immaculately clean property, quietly situated in the woods, but with amenities galore. Entry was easy thanks to the excellent communication from our host.
Our party of four was in town to participate in the King Pine Triathlon/Duathlon being held at the Purity Springs Resort.
The home's layout was ideal with bedrooms and bathrooms both up and downstairs.
All the beds were comfy and allowed us to get a good night sleep for the event on Saturday. Although it rained all weekend and we did not get to utilize the outside of the cabin at all, we could see that the fire pit area was awesome too, as well as the back porch.
If we attend the event again, this will be our first choice for sure. Thanks!
Awesome Stay but too many Cleaning rules before checkout after paying for cleaning fees.
We had a great time in this beautiful property, communication was great & spontaneous.
Something I will like the property management to change is limit there rules at closing. Rules included taking all pillow cases, sheets, towelâs & everything used out & bring it down in basement & start laundry. Put away all Cleaned pots & pans as well start dishwasher.. there was not enough time to cleanup even after extending for another hour for late checkout. We always keep place clean when we leave from any vrbo rentals but this were way too many rules to read & follow after paying cleaning fees on last day before we leave.
Thank You for your help & Will recommend this property.
We packed a lot in our stay using Madison NH as home base. After flying into Boston we spent a half day on The Freedom Trail before driving 2 1/2 hours to the VRBO. On Day 2, we drove the Kancamagus Hwy, making several historical stops and short hikes along the way. You can drive to the other side of the Kancamagus Pass in a little over an hour. On Day 3 we took a North Conway one hour train (skip this attraction, youâre better off in your car in the highway), followed by visiting the Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods. The historic hotel is had an amazing history and there is a Gondola đ ride to see a vast view of the fall colors. Day 4 we did some shopping in North Conway, followed by the Mount Washington Auto Road. AWESOME DRIVE! on the way back to Boston Airport, we went to the Hammond Castle đ° and drove around Cape Ann in Gloucester, followed by splurging on some Lobster before flying home. This cabin rental had everything we needed and made for a perfect location for all our activities. We were even greeted by a porcupine one night as we returned around dusk. The host is very nice and responsive. I would return for sureâŠ
I stayed here with my 20 month toddler and grandmother while the rest of our family was staying inside danforth bay camping, which was a 13 minute drive away. I feel like the photos don't do the place justice, it was much bigger in all the rooms/sunroom/outside than I expected. The queen bed was on the first floor with the bathroom attached, which was perfect for my 85 year grandmother to have single floor living. The downstairs area was great for our toddler, the doors were latched so she couldn't figure out how to open them, and you can close off a door that lead to the breezeway. All the floors were even so there were no step ups to worry about, just brought a little gate for the stairs but she pretty much was uninterested in them anyways. The fire place inside was high, like to her head, so it wasn't a worry about her trying to get to the fireplace(not that we used but they are curious!) There was no AC, as listed, but the host had AMPLE fans, as well as ceiling fans everywhere. It was very cool at night so the windows open with the fans were perfect. Washer and Dryer was in the basement.
we didn't use the fire pit area outside but it was also very nice, good sized outdoor area and in the woods so very private and peaceful and quiet at night. The wifi worked great which is needed because there is no cellular service in the entire area. I would definitely stay here again.
I bought the land and built the mountain house over the course of 4 years. I wanted a mountainside location in a safe area so that I didn't have to worry to let my kids play outside. They learned to ski at King Pine which is only a mile or so away.
