Breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountain Views and Sunset, Sleeps 8!
Hanu's Lodge is a charming North Georgia cabin offering rustic yet contemporary furnishings with incredible sunsets & mountain views on repeat! It is the most perfect retreat getaway featuring a beautiful kitchen, super fast WiFI, expansive outdoor space with a porch swing + two fireplaces & a fire pit! The cabin is only 8 miles from downtown Blue Ridge & 10 miles from downtown Ellijay with tons of restaurants, wineries, hiking & mountain bike trails to choose from. Dogs welcome (with fee associated)!
This property was beautiful. I feel the photos of the outdoor patio do not do this space justice. My family enjoyed spending time around the fire pit and enjoyed meals in the outdoor dining area. The inside was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
The location and upkeep of the property was the best. The host was kind and accommodating. The only issues was with some spider webs on one of the decks, the outdoor could have been cleaned up a bit. Otherwise my family was really excited to be there and the facilities were the best. Will certainly stay there again and recommend to friends and family.
My son had a state championship for basketball so my husband just wanted to spoil us with somewhere nice to stay. We were very pleased with accommodations and communication! Would definitely stay again with our whole family
Stayed two nights for New Yearâs Eve with a group of friends and a few preteens. Cabin was awesome. Exactly what we were looking for. Layout was perfect, outdoor fireplaces were perfect, everything was great. Wood definitely stay there again.
Our family had an amazing time at this beautiful log cabin in the Georgia mountains. The views were absolutely breathtaking and we loved all of the outdoor areas to enjoy the views and an evening fire with our family! The kitchen had everything that we needed to cook dinner. The location was the perfect distance from Elijay and Blue Ridge and not too far from the orchards and Amicola Falls. The owner was easy to contact and so helpful with a list of things to do in the area. We cannot wait to come back again!
Our stay could not have been better. This property is well designed and had everything we could need for our stay. The furniture and beds were comfortable with plenty of linens. We instantly felt at home when we arrived .
The outdoor areas really make this location stand out among other rentals. The expansive decks and patios allow you plenty of options to enjoy the sunsets or have a fire in either the fire pit or outdoor fireplace.
Communication with the host was excellent and we had all of our questions answered quickly and thoroughly. This made for a very smooth and simple check-in and check-out during our stay. We highly recommend staying here and our whole family talked about coming back in the future.
Family visit, first time to area after hearing from many co workers and friends we should visit. We had a great time. House was clean, outside area was great, views were amazing. Rooms were exactly as described, our kids really enjoyed the foosball table downstairs. Plenty of cookware and utensils to enjoy a meal at home if you choose to do that. Abha was super responsive and helpful both prior to getting to the house and after we arrived. House is located almost in the middle of Blue Ridge and Ellijay (personally I liked downtown Ellijay better). Kids had a blast at Mercier Orchards, Gem Mining at Lily Pad Village (don't know if their golf or fishing is worth it, we didn't do that), and highlight was swimming in a creek/river about 1 mile from Lily Pad Village right off the road. Water was super refreshing, clean, and whole family enjoyed. Note, road to house was paved but steep and windy but I got used to it.
Quick notes on places we ate or shopped at. Every place allowed our dog inside the shop (I don't know about the pizza place as there I just picked up food)
Ellijay wood fired pizza - very good pizza, smaller in size, no delivery
Cantaberry - good selection of sandwiches, ate outside with our dog
Das Kaffee Hous - good coffee, bit pricey
Beds Etc - Handmade amish furniture, amazing and reasonable priced. We didn't buy anything but if you are looking for amazing wood furniture and have the ability to transport it, would highly recommend
Green Willow Soaps - owner and assistant were super friendly to our girls and my wife, great soaps, lotions, fragrances, etc
Linda's Outback Antiques - If you like American Pickers, you will love this place. Owner and daughter were very nice
GumDrop Fun Shop - good selection of toys, some nostalgic, also gem mining (we didn't do)
Cartecay Wine and Craft - Good place to grab a beer or two in town. Wife and I enjoyed the Peach wine slushy. They were nice and allowed my kids to come inside with their ice cream that was purchased elsewhere.
Abby's Ice Cream - good selection and kids enjoyed (not shocking)
Laundry Mat Coin Laundry - Stopped by to do emergency wash, clean, in town, no problem
The shopping on downtown Blue Ridge was ok I thought. Again I liked Ellijay better. Wife and kids liked it but probably a little a bit more touristy than Ellijay. We ate dinner at Harvest on Main. Kids enjoyed, adult meals were ok at best. Server very nice and we got a meal comped with a free desert.
Property was great. Beautiful view and outdoor area. Everything was positive with the exception of only having a couple of towels per bathroom. I wouldnât have noticed, but the property doesnât have a washing machine. So I would just make sure you bring enough wash towels if you have more than a couple night stay. It was a great stay and Abha was wonderful to deal with. She even shipped me back the keys I left. :-)
This cabin is incredible!!! The cabin itself is so beautiful and the mountain views from the cabin are amazing - had some gorgeous fog rolling through the mountains each morning and stunning sunsets just like some of the pictures in the evening. The cabin was very clean, A/C worked well, bed was comfortable. At night time there were *huge* spiders building webs and on the railing at night, never saw them in the day time, but this is no criticism of the cabin at all - just a note of the critters that you may naturally encounter when staying in the woods. No bugs or creepy crawlies on the inside of the cabin! Very prompt communication with the owner when we needed assistance during our stay. I would definitely recommend staying here!!
