I like the property but just going into it the road is to hard to much rocks,
Just in the cabins and hacienda needs more of deep cleaning, a lot of cobwebs, dust, sweeping, mopping, toilets very duties,
Had a wonderful time, the location was a little hard to find and dirt road leading to the location was full of rocks, not suited for lower sitting cars. All in all we had a wonderful time and would definitely come back to stay again!
We spent our Christmas at Stoney Pines. 3 generations, 11 people ages 18-83. We had and best time and will definitely be back. The 2 cabins and main house provided privacy and space for every member of the family. We cooked large meals nightly in the main kitchen and played board game, took walks and enjoyed family time together. Loved the cozy feel of the property and the it was equipped with plenty of towels, bedding, and firewood. Our family dog enjoyed the fenced in yard and watched rabbits, squirrels and other critters outside the fence. The cabins are definitely old but comfy. The Green cabin has a pot belly stove which kept the home very warm. The window heater in the red house was perfect to keep the cabin comfy for my elderly mother. You definitely feel you are getting away while still being minutes from town. Having convent access to a washer and dryer in the main house was a definite plus!! Only challenge was the toilets in the main house. They are very short and often require manual flushing. Not a deal breaker though. Alexandria was very communicative and helpful in answering our questions promptly. Now our family is asking when can we return and do it again!! Thank you for allowing our family for build memories at your property.
This home is very nicely situated in the Lake Isabella area. Home is well equipped with everything you will need for a comfortable stay. The owner is very easy to work with and our stay was very pleasant.
I grew up in San Diego, CA and have been coming up to the Kern Valley for 32 years. I grew up coming to this property to spend time with my grandparents and experience the rural living.
A unique aspect of this property is that this property is made up of 3 houses, a main house and 2 cabins, all located in a pine forest. The previous owner collected different types of pine trees, so all the pine trees on the property are different. Another feature is that the cabins date back to the 1950's and the main house is modeled after a Mexican Hacienda.
