Retraite à l'air frais de la montagne de ce chalet de White Mountain. Le chalet de l'éco-construite est privée, mais proche de toutes commodités. Il dispose d'un intérieur en bois chaleureux et une Vermont Castings poêle à gaz. Le concept ouvert étage principal lumineux dispose d'un coin salon, cuisine entièrement équipée, salle de bain complète, et la lessive, qui est dominée par un plafond cathédrale. Une mezzanine de 3 chambres dispose de 2 chambres, 2 avec lits doubles et 1 avec 2 lits superposés. Wifi gratuit, Apple TV et câble! Loon et Cannon montagnes sont à 15 min en voiture; Waterville Valley Mountain est un 25 min. Drive South. Le pont offre une belle vue sur la montagne et sur les étapes à la fosse de feu et de la propriété de 70 acres avec sentiers de randonnée et raquettes sentiers, un étang, un barrage de castor, et un chemin vers le bord du fleuve Pemmigewasset. Nous accueillons les animaux de compagnie (60 $ / visite / par animal frais) et nous avons fait le chalet enfant très sympathique. Vérifiez les critiques des locataires et réservez avec nous. Absolutely loved our stay here—we were looking for a mountain and nature getaway and this place checked every box. The house is adorable, so thoughtfully organized and decorated. We really appreciated the signs and labels everywhere, the stash of fun kids activities, the drawer of bathroom supplies, the books, and the safety items—so many thoughtful touches to make the stay pleasant and homey. Bedding was super clean and comfy. The property is gorgeous. We loved walking the trails and visiting the river and river beach. We had a few minor questions at check in and the host was responsive and helpful. Do be sure you have the lockbox code before you arrive!Note that both bathrooms are on the main floor and the three bedrooms are upstairs. This was no big deal for us, as the house is compact and the bathrooms are right by the stairs. We hope to be back soon!

I love that you have recognized and mentioned the details that are important to us, such as the decor (we love to make the space feel like a cozy home with lots of interesting things to see). We spend time there vacationing, but we also dedicate a large portion of that time to making the land on the property and the interior space special for our guests, including making trails and organizing the space so that it is easy for someone unfamiliar with the space to navigate. Unfortunately, VRBO does not have sufficient automated messages, and we want to ensure that the full payout has been sent before the lockbox key is sent to the guest. I have adjusted the 'welcome message' (one of the few that is automated) to prompt the guest to contact us to obtain the code before checking in. Thank you for that idea. We would love to have you and people like you as repeat guests!

Another wonderful stay

We love this house so much we’ve been staying here for over a decade. Kids, dogs, everyone agree - it’s our favorite spot to stay. House is just perfect. The property is amazing. Perfect distance to all the White Mountains have to offer.

A little piece of paradise

We had a fantastic stay at the cottage with our 3 grown children and our 2 dogs, Nellie and Rory. Everything described in the write up was spot on. This cottage had everything you could ever think of needing, including River Rat Tubes which we spent hours on every day followed by cornhole tournaments at night. Our stay was during the heatwave so we could not have picked a better week to spend at the river. They even had grilling forks which we used to cook hot dogs and smores. The cottage furnishings and decor were fabulous and we had no problem cooling down inside. I would highly recommend this cottage to families of all ages and would definately return!!!!

Mountain getaway

We wanted to stay in NH for a few days after getting our son from sleepaway camp and really enjoy some family time. This home was perfect! It was clean and cozy with lots of lamps. We loved the walking trail to the river and the backyard ambiance. Everything about this home and our stay was perfect!

Simple and Perfect

Rented for 6 weeks and the cottage became a true home away from home ... but better. We loved wandering the trails, the fire pit and a feeling of being really away, while close to everything we needed. The proximity to Loon, Waterville and Franconia Notch was excellent. We miss it already.

Wonderful family NH getaway!

Perfect home with all the necessities for a ski weekend! Close to Loon and many other mountains. We went to the Ice Castles, tubing, skiing, and the hill to the river is another spot for sledding. This was a great weekend! We'll be back!

Wonderful getaway spot for Memorial Day, close to everything but the property is secluded and serene. It was clean and comfortable. Looked like there was beaver activity behind the property in the brook. Wish we’d had another day! We’d absolutely come back.

Nice mountain get away

Stayed two nights with my husband and our 5 and 8yo. The house was perfect with lots of games and toys for my children to explore. We loved the walk down to the pond and the river which was a great way to exercise our pup in the mornings. Thank you so much!

Beautiful property- lovely cottage

Cottage was well appointed- anything you might need was there! We’ve been to many Vrbo homes and this one was by far one of the cleanest (much appreciated)! The property is amazing with a very special walk to the river. Plenty of room for our family of 5 adults Thank you for a lovely stay. Ps.. the only thing we might suggest is screens to be installed in the bedrooms for fresh air…thanks!

Hi Enza, Thank you for your wonderful review! We appreciate your kind words. The missing screens have been replaced. They were meant to be put back into the windows at the beginning of Spring as part of the Spring set-up of the cottage. It was an accident that they were not put back in.

Dreamy Getaway

This was our second time staying at the cottage, and we had the most amazing time! The house is cozy and comfortable, very clean. The property is just stunning, and the trail to the river is so unique and enjoyable. We had some rainy/storm weather but we hardly noticed - the home is super comfy and is well suited for all seasons. The location is convenient to Lincoln/Woodstock with plenty to do and places to eat/shop. The host, Stephani is very attentive and accommodating. Thank you so much for having us, we hope to be back soon!!

Nice quiet family gettaway

Great, quiet house on a large piece of land with privacy and close enough to local attractions for us. There's plenty of river access for swimming and picnicking nearby. If our kids were older we would have taken them to the river access areas more but some parts were too steep and rocky for their little legs. Teenagers would love it I'm sure. We stayed at the house while there and took day trips to Loon, Echo Lake, Lost River Gorge and Santa's Village. We have no complaints whatsoever.

The cottage is co-owned by Stephani, her sister, Naomi, and her mother, Judy. Stephani hosts the house with her mother, Judy, the secondary host. Stephani lives in Toronto with her husband, three teenage children, two dogs and a cat. Naomi lives in New York, and Judy lives in Philadelphia. They built the cottage as a year-round place to vacation in New Hampshire and share this incredible part of the world with others.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The property on which the cottage is built has been in our family since 1929. My Grandmother's parents built as small cottage (Wadcheeaukee East) when she and her siblings were teenagers. Her family spent summers there, then eventually my grandmother spent summers there, and my mother, sister and I would visit in the summers. Eventually, my sister and I inherited the property and because we wanted to preserve the family history, we thought that we should build another cottage on the lot (the original cottage is too small) so that we could take our families there and share our love of the White Mountains, and the New Hampshire area.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We have made the cottage the perfect mountain retreat with a knotty pine interior and vintage decor. The house sits on a large open field where you can play outdoor games. The back features a firepit, picnic tables, and hammock, all canopied by trees and string lights. We have created an easy hiking trail to the river with a view of the mountains and pond along the way. The location is quiet and peaceful, yet close to swimming holes, hiking, and other towns for activities, dinner and shopping.
