There needs to be more towels there was no hair dryer, no wrist bands for pool the beds are very uncomfortable especially the one downstairs A little close to the neighbors you can hear them we had bears get into our trash cans one night gorgeous scenery
The only great thing about this cabin was that it was very close to the parkway. You are right in the middle of all the attractions on the parkway and it only takes a few minutes to get there. You are surrounded by other cabins, so if your looking for privacy this is not the place for you. We could hear the neighbors up all night as we tried to sleep. There was no wifi for our entire stay. If we needed to use our phone we had to go outside. Called the property management and they were quick to send someone out, but it never got resolved for our entire stay. We found a big glob of hair in the hot tub that was suppose to be drained and cleaned before we arrived and the jets do not work properly. There were only 4 wash cloths for a cabin suited for 6 people, so you may want to bring extra. The couch is full of cigarette burns. It is a sofa sleeper but it sinks when you try to lay on it. We ended up throwing a sheet over the couch and just slept on it instead of pulling it out. The railings of the porch are very loose and need to be replaced. The game system was awesome. We all enjoyed it, but the game room downstairs is just 2 gaming chairs with a huge TV in the same room as the master sweet. No gaming system. The 2nd bedroom is a loft type, with no door. No tubs, only VERY SMALL stand up showers. The place was clean with the exception of the hot tub.
Everything was exactly how it was listed on the site. However, I was expecting a few things that had I known, I would have went with a different property. There was a gas grill as stated on the listing. However, there was no grill gas or even a bottle to have filled. So I couldn't use the grill. The game room was actually a part of the bedroom downstairs. That area was simply 2 gaming chairs and a big screen tv. That was in addition to the big screen tv in front of the bed. Both could really not be used at the same time. The upstairs bedroom was actually just loft space with a bed (no door or privacy). Could not really sleep if anyone was in the living area.
The location was really convenient to "the strip" of pigeon forge. However, I was expecting a view and a more rustic setting so I could take advantage of the great wrap around porch. Unfortunately, the cabin is in a neighborhood setting with cabins a few feet front and back of the cabin. Dont expect a mountain view more than that of the rear another lovely log cabin.
Now, if you know these things going into the rental, I think you will be extremely happy here are some of the things we really liked:
Location is close to "the strip".
Everything was done via text and email. Unit was ready on time and had no mechanical issues.
Cabin was very clean and well taken care of.
Free standing gaming system with the old school games was nice and a real treat.
Cabin has wifi. We were able to connect laptops to this without issue. iPods, iPad, and cell phones required another level of sign on which were not provided. I emailed the office and never got a response, so we dealt with it and we still had the laptops and the speed was fast enough for my wife to work.
AC worked great. It was probably 10 degrees colder down stairs which was AWESOME!
All and all, if this cabin meets your expectations I'd say go for it. The place really would work well for a couple of adults and a few kids that want to be close to the action. I think 2 adult couples would be difficult to pull off due to the bedroom set up.
We really enjoyed our stay in this cabin. The check-in process had a few hiccups. The clerks were really nice, but they gave us a map and directed us down the wrong roads to get to our cabin. Once we found the cabin (in the dark), we were OK. The clerks also told us there was no WIFI, but when we got to the cabin, there was indeed WIFI. So again, all was good. Loved the hot tub and the grill that were both located in a screened in porch, so we could still use them even when it rained. We loved the close location to all of the Pigeon Forge attractions. We really liked the arcade game machine with all of the old games. We spent hours playing. All in all, the cabin was perfect for us.
