Over all, it was ok. However, they could do a much better job at cleaning. There were cobwebs all over the house, the dishes in the cabinets were dirty, utensils were sparse and broken. If they have a cleaning service cleaning the property, they should find new ones. It wasn't super horrible but they could do better. Overall, we enjoyed the stay but the cleanliness or lack of, we would not stay again.
Getting into the unit was very challenging as the door code did not work and the instructions did not give the key code for the key box so we waited an hour for someone to come to get us in.
The porch was so dirty as were the seat cushions.
The internet was incredibly slow and no local channels to watch college football.
It was a convenient accommodation to visit Land of Oz.
If you donât mind an old building to stay in for a short weekend, it is a good place to stay. It wasnât thoroughly cleaned, the utensils had food residue, the microwave needed wiping from food spatter, coffee stains in the utensil drawer, some dust on top of the coffee maker and toaster. Some beer top found under the bed, spider web in the corner of the room found. Crumbs across the corner of the kitchen floors were noted too as soon as we arrived. I just wiped and washed everything before use. Otherwise itâs an okay place to stay in for a quick trip.
Dishwashing liquid/sponge, soap bar and towels were provided. Convenient location. Good sized fridge.
This property is a very basic little unit super close to the ski resort. If all you want to do is ski and sleep and maybe fix a sandwich, youâre all set. We were here for the Highland Games and the bus picked up at the bottom of the hill. The property itself is a little careworn with dings and scratches and minor fixes. However, every time we turned around we found something new. Any one or two of these would be no big deal but they just kept piling up. The housekeeping was slipshod as well. Specific items are in photos. Also, we pulled wet dirty dishes out of the cupboard, they rigged power to one side of the bed with a janky extension cord that I keep reading horror stories about, and no hand towels in the kitchen. They supplied soap and paper towels, buying you have to wash bath towels and linens anyway, why not have a couple of kitchen towels? I have never rented a property managed by Vacasa before and I never will again. They communicate via app and I never spoke to a human. Worst of all, we got the chance to know some lovely local folks at our unit and the one the rest of our family used, and they all reported horrible stories of working with Vacasa, or rather, not being able to because theyâre impossible to contact. Our familyâs unit was far worse than ours, with active construction happening. So, unit owner, kick Vacasa to the curb because theyâre obviously not doing the job you need them to do to keep your property in good condition.
A bit hard to find, glad it was daylight when we arrived! We were in the area to visit small towns of NC. Many not terribly far from this location! Banner Elk, Boone, Grandfather, Seven Devils, and Blue Ridge ParkwayFreshest air you could breathe! Comfortable living room furniture, and plenty spacious for two.
We stayed hear during the off season, late summer. It was so peaceful and quiet. The place had an old smell, however a candle was provided, which was a nice touch. The stove was very old the push button type which was fine but the biggest burner did not work. The water pressure in the shower was amazing but the hot water did not last for my entire shower and the shower head was a little low, fine for me at 5'6 but not so good for my husband who is 6'4. With that being said I would stay here again.
The master bedroom had water stains and ceiling falling down. I have pictures. The property was very dated(specifically the bathroom). I would never rent this place again until updated.
We loved the ease of getting to Sugar Mountain to ski. The condo was clean and tidy and all the things needed while were were away from home. Hair dyer in the condo was a plus! So enjoyed our stay!
The property was good for a family to stay. Its located in the right place. Kitchen utensils were not clean we were not able to use most of them .. otherwise everything else was fine
The place was small but cute - perfect for 2 people. The carpet and linens were pretty worn, and the mattress so hard we couldnt sleep on it after the first night. We got an air mattress and slept on it in the living room. Also, sharp tacks sticking out on the edge of living room carpet punctured my bare feet.
The bed could be fixed with a $300 mattress. The other stuff is pretty cheap to replace as well. Could be a really nice hideaway
Very nice location and clean bathrooms and bedrooms. Great location only 5 minutes from the shopping center. Only complaint was the amount of spiders and other critters that kept coming in to the cabin.
The bathroom was dirty and had bugs in it. Cobwebs all over home. Carpet was filthy and carpet nails from carpet just being laid in place kept sticking our feet and had to wear our shoes all the time. Plating coming off kitchen faucet cold water handle and cut my husband. Bed hard as if we slept on floor. Space had a horrid smell and all blankets smelled unclean also. The home would be a great space if properly taken care of by management or owners.
They location was great but the bathroom had mold on walls and a LOT of hair on top of bath tub drain. I noticed the hair when I turned on bathtub water.it was so bad, water drained extremely slow. It had obviously not been cleaned. Dirty floors in livingroom and kitchen. I have pictures but I do not know where to post them. Not worth $152 for a Wednesday night especially.
Such a cute little spot for a weekend away. The fireplace was perfect and the walls of windows. We thouroughly enjoyed hammocking in the beautiful trees and enjoyed the serenity of the breeze in the trees. We wished the bed was a little comfier but still a wonderful time!!
