The area was beautiful. House is semi secluded and on the private side of Lake Anna. Weather was perfect during our stay. The check-in was a breeze. Unfortunately, when paying this price for a rental, I would think some effort would be put into some small details with big pay-off. The cleanliness of the home was sub-par overall. The floors and counters were clean. But there are dirty finger prints and cobwebs all over. The frying pans are unusable and I had to have my daughter bring our set from home. I saw some other reviews about a lack of forks and the owner responded saying there were plenty. I think whatâs forgotten is if the home is meant to service up to 16 people, you need to account for a little extra. Forks, for example, are also used to prepare food. There is also a charcoal grill, but itâs one of those very small ones that youâd find at a community apartment. Not even close to big enough for cooking for a large group of people. We had to have our son who lives locally, bring his grill over. There was so much dust on the living room fan I wouldnât have felt comfortable turning it on for fear of spreading all that dust around, not to mention the significant cobwebs surrounding the pull chain from it. Lotâs of cobwebs in the kitchen as well. The patio doors appear to have never been cleaned out and looks like mold is building up in it. I did appreciate the linen service and having clean sheets folded in a bag waiting for us to place on the bed. Very nice touch.
