"Peaceful Pines Retreat â A Perfect Flagstaff Cabin Getaway"
Our stay at the cabin in Flagstaff was nothing short of magical. Nestled among towering pines with breathtaking views, the cabin offered the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. Mornings were serene with crisp mountain air and birdsong, while evenings by the cozy fireplace created unforgettable family memories. The cabin was spotless, well-equipped, and thoughtfully decorated, making it feel like a true home away from home. Its location was idealâsecluded enough for peace and quiet, yet just a short drive to downtown Flagstaff, hiking trails, and Snowbowl. We canât wait to return!
We really enjoyed our stay. The house had everything we needed to cook meals. The deck is very spacious and has great views. It was nice that it has a few king size beds. The house was clean and everything worked as expected.
The title should tell you how we feel. The house is as is represented by the pictures. 1 BD & bath on main floor 1 BD and a 'bunk' room and bath on second floor.
Home was beautiful. Location was beautiful. Will admit the inages shared showed to look a bit bigger. When I reached out to the owner, owner was quick to respond and even call. We stayed this past weekend to enjoy some snow. Would recommend to others.
Let me start by saying I do not enjoy giving negative reviews, but I am speaking very truthfully when I say this property was very disappointing.
Issues:
1) Pictures made it seem more isolated, but it was in a pretty crowded neighborhood with lots of misc yard items (junk and RVs, cars on blocks, etc).
2) Although it was clean, the inside did smell of must and pet urine, very unpleasant. I sleep with a CPAP and I'm still trying to get that smell out of it.
3) Kitchen and baths were tiny, with the upstairs bath straight out of a tiny homes showcase. The downstairs shower does not drain well, pooling water to your ankles during a shower. The upstairs shower did work well, and it was very clean.
4) The stairs were precarious, very small, and hazardous. Getting a suitcase up and down them was quite a chore! Took to calling them the "stairs of death".
5) Living room was super small, with a small loveseat parked 3ft from the TV and a very uncomfortable "sofa" off to the side. Not a good conversation area.
The one redeeming factor of the whole stay was the deck. It is huge as advertised, and has a great view directly behind it. The night sky was great. The grill worked well, and was easy to use. But still I was disappointed by the view of neighboring properties so close on the left and right. However they were generally quite neighbors, except for the ones across the woods who were doing construction the whole time.
I've stayed in a lot of cabins in northern AZ and southern UT. I've always gotten a good property at this price point. This was definitely the exception and belongs at a much lower price level.
It's a nice, clean, updated cabin. It has a huge deck that you, and probably everyone else, can use to sit and stare into the forest. The view is amazing, and there's a pathway down towards the bottom of the property, but it was too a steep a walk for us (we're in our late sixties but our forty year old kids couldn't handle it either!). It's a quiet neighborhood except for the few airplanes that fly over, but that wouldn't stop us from staying here again.
Very nice house nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Even though there are neighbors, the house is offset deep into the property & you feel like you are in the woods. There is a trail that leads right by the base of the backyard. The house is very clean & updated; has everything you need. (My one suggestion would be a few more potholders/hot pads, but definitely not a deal-breaker!) The beautiful deck is HUGE & we enjoyed sitting outside. At night, you can even see the beautiful starlit sky. The location is great- easy drive into Sedona, National monuments & ruins, & local/state parks. A little longer drive to the South Rim, but not bad! Great location if you are wanting to try to see a lot and not get stuck in the busy Sedona traffic. Dollar General & convenience store close by & grocery store within a 10-15 minute drive. We would highly recommend this property & would stay here again if we travel to the area. Property manager was great & resonded quickly to a few questions when I texted. FANTASTIC GETAWAY!
We stayed here for our spring break to let the kids get to do something, while still staying safe. We had a great vacation, getting away from it all, being able to relax and enjoy the weather. The cabin accommodated 4 kids and 4 adults nicely and had everything we needed to enjoy our selves. The back porch was the reason we chose this cabin and we got to enjoy it quite a bit, even though we had snow the first couple days. Our kids got to have a blast playing in the snow and being outside, and hiking right out of the back yard.
This property was nice, it accommodated our family well although we thought it was bigger than the pictures suggested & a bit more remote but we ended up having neighbors right next door. Overall still a good place to stay.
We came up for a relaxing weekend in away from the desert summer heat in PHX, and we were not disappointed. The overall house is charming and cozy. I bet it's even cozier in the winter.
The house just about everything you need to lay around, relax and let time pass you by. The bathooms are clean and modern, and the beds were comfy.
Our favorite part was being outside. The outside deck and wrap-around porch are nothing short of spectacular, and we spent almost the entire weekend on it - drinking coffee in the AM, playing in the day time with our kids and having even cocktails and grilling in the evening.
It get very dark and quiet, and it was an amazing way to let everything melt away.
Thanks for everything!
