Cette maison a 4 chambres à coucher, Den avec foyer (bûches à gaz) et TV, salon, salle à manger, cuisine et 2 salles de bains. Deux chambres ont des lits Queen. Une des autres chambres a 2 lits doubles et l'autre chambre a 1 lit double. Toutes les chambres ont de grands placards. Dans le salon sera un canapé marron qui peut être transformé en lit queen. De plus, nous avons un matelas gonflable queen que vous pouvez demander si nécessaire.

La salle à manger a une table pouvant accueillir 6 personnes et il y a une autre table dans la salle à manger pouvant accueillir 4 personnes. Une salle de bain a une baignoire Plus douche, commode, lavabo, plus une laveuse et une sécheuse. L'autre salle de bain a une douche avec un siège à l'intérieur, plus un grand lavabo et une commode.

Situé à l'extérieur de la maison est un pont, un gril et un foyer pour construire un feu à l'extérieur. De plus, il y a une table et des chaises sur le pont.

La maison se trouve sur un 2 ac. terrain avec beaucoup d'espace pour les enfants à courir et à jouer. Nous aurons en main un Corn Hole Game, des Horse Horse,
et d'autres jeux pour les enfants.

Cette propriété est située sur un terrain de 2 acres. terrain avec parking pour 5 à 6 voitures. Mon mari et moi avons élevé nos 2 enfants adultes dans cette maison. Nous avons décidé il y a environ 20 ans de construire une autre maison mais j'aime toujours cette maison. Après avoir loué pendant les 16 dernières années, nous avons décidé de partir en location de vacances. J'aime toujours cette maison et elle a beaucoup de souvenirs d'élever mes enfants. Les 2 premiers de mes petits-enfants sont nés avant notre déménagement. Nous avons un total de 6 merveilleux petits-enfants. Nous sommes tous les deux à la retraite et avons quelques passe-temps. J'ai (Carol) vécu ici toute ma vie mais mon mari (Fred) est du nord de Ky. Juste en face de la rivière de Cinn. Ohio. J'ai une autre maison que j'utilise VRBO pour faire de la publicité depuis environ 7 ans. Le nom de cette maison est Alvarado Vacation Rental Home situé sur Denton's Valley Rd. Abingdon, VA. Vous pouvez consulter mes commentaires et voir ce que les autres ont à dire sur ma maison.

Cette maison est située à environ 7 miles de la ville d'Abingdon, en Virginie et à environ 5 miles de la ville de Damas. Cette maison est également située à environ 5 miles du Creeper Trail. Vous pouvez soit aller à Alvarado et garer votre vélo et parcourir le sentier ou la randonnée, ou aller à Abingdon ou Damas pour parcourir le sentier. Si vous souhaitez prendre une navette jusqu'au sommet du sentier, vous devrez vous rendre à Damas pour utiliser la navette. Vous pouvez soit louer des vélos à Damas, soit apporter vos propres vélos. L'adresse physique réelle est 17354 Limestone Dr. Meadowview, en Virginie, mais je suis plus proche d'Abingdon ou de Damas que de Meadowview. Pour vous rendre à la propriété, vous quitterez Abingdon sur l'autoroute. 58 vers Damas et parcourir 5 miles et tourner à gauche sur Blue Springs Rd. ou Rd. 722. Vous parcourrez ensuite près de 3 km et tournez à gauche sur Limestone Dr. Vous voyagerez ensuite environ 1/2 mile jusqu'à la maison. La maison se trouve sur une colline avec des arbres et une grande cour. Le 17354 sera sur la boîte aux lettres verte au bas de la colline.

Property needs repair and updates

We do not recommend this property as it does not live up the standards we expect from staying at many other VRBOs. We expected the furnishings to be dated given the pictures, but many amenities need to be repaired or replaced. This was shown when the AC was out upon arrival. Repairs to the AC prompted a move to a hotel for the first night. Though we were reimbursed for the hotel and provided 20 for our "troubles," we were not reimbursed for the night we were unable to stay at the property. We were in town for our son's wedding, and the AC issues required moving our things back and forth while we waited for the repair - not to mention the stress of not knowing where we were going to be able house our family of grown children traveling from all over for the wedding until the afternoon of the second day of the trip.From reading other responses to reviews, I expect the owners to be defensive. In many previous stays, we are known to treat properties with respect and follow all owner rules. We were patient about the AC repair and first night in a hotel, but the rest of the stay revealed an old house in need of maintenance.Please provide more than one trash bag and a clean sponge (so gross) in the kitchen for future guests.The house did provide ample space for all our guests, and the location is beautiful.

Beautiful place to stay

This trip was absolutely amazing. Not only was the house so inviting but so was the owners. They were so helpful with any questions that you may have. The house was great with tons of space and a great location. We were not far from town and from the creeper trail. The house is surrounded by many farms which having children was a great highlight. I would recommend anyone who would love to get away for beautiful scenery and a wonderful house to stay

We had a wonderful time in this home! The host are amazing, they communicated everything perfectly! They are very sweet people. The only thing I would suggest would be to provide a few more basics for the future stays. When we got there there was only one roll of toilet paper for two bathrooms.. there was only a quarter roll of paper towels in the kitchen and provided minimal basics for the kitchen. (I would suggest more pots and pans - some type of filtered water system- and also unexpired products in the kitchen) Also there is one room that does not get heat so the room with the two twin beds was absolutely freezing! Other than that we really enjoyed our stay!!

Farmland friendly

Loved the area for hiking and biking - good restaurants in Abington (and at least 1 in Damascus). We were at the house for breakfast and a couple of dinners - the house is not updated but in good shape for its age. What we needed for the meals we prepared were supplied - the kitchen is small but has lots of cabinet space and reasonable counter space. One of 2 full baths was really small and the other one had plenty of room (it doubled as a laundry room). Both baths are side by side and right by 2 bedrooms on that side of the house. Bathroom access from other 2 bedrooms required passing thru the dining room and kitchen. If you like watching TV the smart TV is really good! We tried out the fire pit one night and it was great - we took porch chairs and set them on a grassed, lightly sloped area around the fire pit. A neighbor evidently has firewood to sell but, being more spur of the moment planners, there had been some recent tree work done so there was a good bit of wood close by to gather. I would suggest arranging to have some firewood. If you visit in cold weather the 2 bedrooms near the bathroom get a good bit colder than the rest of the house but there are plenty of covers to stay warm. All in all a nice stay for 4.

Unique, cozy getaway

This was a great option for our girls trip that included 8 friends. We enjoyed the VA Creeper trail, did some hiking, then sat around the fire in the back yard fire pit. It was very convenient to Abington and Damascus. Great memories of a great trip!

A note for people with mobility challenges

This house has many steps to get into it and maneuver around it. There are handrails, but you rent this property at your risk if your mobility issues are serious. Otherwise, it's an excellent property.

Amazing!

This house is situated in a beautiful setting and has absolutely everything you need. It was very clean and spacious. We loved sitting out on the back deck any chance we could! Both the house and property are very well maintained. We came down here for a baseball tournament with an open-ended check out date. Of course it was dependent upon how we did in the tournament. Mr. & Mrs. Kaurish are the best communicators and hosts we have ever had the pleasure of booking with. They went above and beyond to work with us; all while making us feel welcome and cheering on our son! They accommodated us more than we could have ever expected. If you’re looking for a charming home in a beautiful setting with fabulous hosts…. Look no further!

Horrible Experience

We had no power for the first 11 hours of our stay. Unable to shower or use the restroom. The owners came by and gave us oil lamps which gave all of us headaches from the fumes. The owners were completely unresponsive when asked about the WIFI password. We messaged and called them multiple times with no response. They said it was in the rental house, and when I asked them what the password was she said the paper that it was on was stolen and she would come by the next morning and post it on the front door but she never did. The listing said they had firewood available, but upon arrival there was none, which is false advertising. Overall, there was no compensation provided for our stay and there was no communication by the host. Terrible experience!

Carol was so kind! My sister and I are in our later years and we were having a hard time finding the property. Carol was very kind and stayed on the phone until we got there. It turned out that one of the road signs had a branch covering the name. The property is in a beautiful spot! We enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful stay in nice home

Had a very nice stay in Virginia with my family. The home was set up great, the bathrooms were very clean and stocked with towels and washcloths. Simple check-in and out instructions and such a nice host. And the home was so spacious, giving all 7 of us our own space + roasting marshmallows in the backyard fire-pit we couldn't have asked for more. Thanks!

Super Cozy, Great for Families!

We had the best stay! The house was very clean with a ton of bedrooms! It was the perfect set up for families. When the power went out one night I called Carol and she immediately answered and checked with the power company then offered to bring lighting to us until the power came back on. You have everything you need in the home. Plenty of towels and blankets. We loved our stay and appreciated Carol’s kindness so much. We will definitely be visiting again!

Fall adventure

Loved the amount of beds and bedrooms. Enjoyed the fire pit. Had to buy own wood bundle. Small kitchen, especially with 6 women. Odd bathroom situation, but thankful for 2 full baths. Pretty, spacious property. Beautiful view. Cows were a hoot!

My husband and I are both retired. I have lived in this area all of my life. My husband grew up in Northern Ky. He has lived in this area close to 50 years, so I consider him a native of this county.

He is a retired Engineer, and I am a retired Business Owner. We have 2 children and 6 wonderful grandchildren.

We raised our 2 children in this house. It is a very Comfortable House and a Great Place for Children. We will be Happy for you to Rent from us and also Children are Welcomed. We have this property plus another Vacation Rental called Alvarado Vacation Rental. If one is full, you can check out the other one. If there are things on the Tables which you do not want to be bothered with (especially if you have small children), just store them in the bedrooms which has shelves in the closets.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This is a Place where you can Relax and Forget about Everything except Having Fun. This property is very convenient to the Creeper Trail, Holston River (1 mile), Holston Lake many Museums, Restaurants, I-81, Antique Malls, NASCAR, and Plenty of Shopping. There is a winery located in Alvarado, Va. that rents Kayak on the weekends. You have to reserve these to be able to rent them. They are located on the bank of the Holston River, and you can launch your Kayak at their place. If you bring your own Kayak, you can launch it at Alvarado Station or at the Holston River 1 mile from our house. There is plenty of parking at Alvarado Station, plus there is a picnic area, shelter with a swing, etc.

Our Vacation Rental is Located Close to the Creeper Trail and the River. You can either Fish or Ride a Canoe, Paddle Boat, etc. Lots of Trails, Musuems, Rivers, and Great Restaurants in Abingdon. The town of Abingdon is a very old Historical Town and is only about 10 to 12 minutes away from this house. Also, if you have relatives in the area, you can visit them or attend a family reunion. Abingdon has a Sports Center which is a New Edition to our many other Attractions Available for you Pleasure.

We have plug in where you can bring an RV and the charge is $55 per night for electricity. There are 2 tables and 8 chairs on the deck, but we have more tables and chairs if you need them. Also, if you want to have a Family Gathering at the house, we have plenty of tables and chairs that we will rent to you for this event for an extra Fee.

Large Living Room plus Den. View of the mountains plus 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. Large Charcoal Grill on Back Deck and Firepit Plus Picnic Table. We have completely redone this house in the last year. The Dining Room is large enough for 10 people to eat. There will be on the deck right outside of the dining room tables and chairs for you to eat outside, if you prefer this kind of dining. Also, we have plenty of plastic plates, eating utensils, etc. to have a picnic on our picnic table. In the afternoon or evening, the picnic table is in the shade and also the fire pit is located close by. If you need wood to burn, reserve this in advance. We have a local guy who charges $6 per bundle, and this is a large, dried bundle of wood---better than Wal-Mart, Lowe's, etc.

Plenty of Parking. We own a Lot at the beginning of the Driveway, and you can Park Cars on the Grass. Close to Major Grocery Stores, Restaurants, and all Kinds of Unique Items such as Bike Trails, Lakes, Rivers, Caverns, Musuems, Antique Stores, NASCAR, Theaters, Parks, Hiking, Picnicking, Swimming Pools either in Damascus or Abingdon. Just Google Abingdon, Damascus, Glade Springs, Saltville, or Meadowview and you can see all the Attractions.

Damascus has Great Bike Rentals, but you need to Reserve these before Arrival. If you have your own bikes, just bring them to ride the Creeper Trail. Also, located in Damascus is a Shuttle Service to the top of the Mountain. You can then ride down the mountain on the bicycles. The Trail is so Gentle that People Have a Seat on the Back of their Bicycle to Ride Their Small Children.
