We really enjoyed staying at this property. We enjoyed the view, the peacefulness, and the cozy atmosphere. It is a great location for exploring the Abingdon area.
We stayed in Abingdon for the weekend, as we were attending an Emory and Henry college football game (a quick 20 min drive away). The cabin was very well stocked and there was great communication with the host. The fire pit is lovely. We hope to stay again soon! Thanks Melissa!
Overall this is one of the better VRBOs that I have stayed at. The house is very nice, the property is well maintained and the area couldnât be better. Very thankful for our host and their communication. We will be back!
We enjoyed our stay at this spacious, beautiful home! It had everything we needed. The views of the lake and nature are incredible. There's so much to explore in this area... Virginia Creeper Trail, Abingdon Vineyards, Downtown Abingdon, Barter Theater to name a few! Check in process was easy and host was great! Highly recommend.
We love this house and location! This is the 4th time we have rented this house, and we just love it. We love the location, the views, the peacefulness and the house itself. Melissa was once again a wonderful host. There is great communication, and she is very friendly. We are already looking forward to our next visit. :-)
We were so happy with our stay at the Driftwood Lodge. There was plenty of room for everyone to have some personal space. My kids (12 & 16) enjoyed playing ping pong and air hockey downstairs. We were also able to enjoy the canoe! It is a nice neighborhood for walking in the evenings with beautiful views of the lake. The house was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We hope to visit again!
Great time staying at Driftwood Lodge. Everything as in pictures. Lots to do inside and outside of house from relaxing, playing the variety of games, fire pit, and lake. Everything we needed was supplied in the house. Would recommend to others.
Would love to stay again in the future.
(Side note- Driveway is a bit steep, but had no issues).
The property accommodates multiple couples with 3 floors, 3 bathrooms. Supplied everything we needed from clean linens to coffee. We didnât get the opportunity to take advantage of the lake but the setting was beautiful. Minutes away from events. Our whole group enjoyed it so much.
This year for Christmas, we chose to have experiences rather than exchanging gifts. We chose this cabin as a place to meet up and it was perfect. Plenty of room to hang out and still have separate bedrooms for each couple. It was also great as we each have a dog and they all had plenty of room to run around. Don't let the picture of the small table fool you. It expands to seat plenty of people. That was one of my concerns from looking at the listing as we knew we wanted to eat together at the cabin. Overall a very nice place to stay.
We had a great time. The house had tvâs in almost every room. Multiple game options with air hockey, ping pong, table tennis, and other board games. A canoe was available however the water level was low so we didnât use it. The house was very clean! It was about a 15 minute drive to the creeper trail welcome center. There is also an access point about five minutes from the house.
Me, my wife, and 21-year-old daughter enjoyed the weekend at Driftwood Lodge. The location is near the South Holston Lake, where we kayaked on Saturday morning. Only about a 15-minute drive to Abingdon or Damascus. Near the Creeper Trail. Very clean and well-stocked.
The property was beautiful and the house had every convenience of home. We didnât lack a single thing. The view was spectacular, quiet neighborhood with regular visits from the local deer! Melissa was super easy to communicate with. We would absolutely love to stay at Driftwood again! (The ONLY snafu was a booking issue with the VRBO platform in which we were able to make a reservation on a day the property was already occupied. Thankfully we were able to change or travel dates, and Melissa was super apologetic (not her fault) and helpful in switching the reservation)
