This is our fourth year staying at this property while we attend our annual family reunion. We absolutely love it. Plenty of property for our kids to play and ride bikes. Inside is cozy and has all that we need. We will definitely be back next year!

The Bear House property was truly amazing with all its amenities and views you could ask for. The host was responsive and easy to communicate with. The location had easy access to Durango, restaurants, shopping, Lake Nighthorse,and the Vallecito Reservoir for boating and fishing access.We look forward to visiting the property in the future. This is our third year staying here and absolutely love this place. Such a peaceful and serene property. The yard has plenty of space for our kids to play and ride bikes. We will be back again next year!

Absolutely wonderful stay. The location is unbeatable, just far enough outside of Durango to feel very secluded but still only a 10-15 minute drive to town. The kitchen was fully stocked and allowed us to cook our entire Thanksgiving family meal with ease! Check-in was seamless and we were communicated everything we needed to know ahead of time. Very quiet and peaceful. The river going right under the driveway was awesome. Can't wait to go back!

Nice stay on the river.

We stayed in the 'Bear House' which had plenty of space and a nice kitchen, dining, and living area. Wonderful yards and near the river. We were in town for a wedding and this was still close enough to get to Durango and see family.

Wonderful

We loved the whole experience staying at this home. Wonderful inside and out. Loved the creek in front and plenty of outdoor space to enjoy. Close to Durango so easy to get supplies and enjoy the downtown area. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband, myself, & my two college age children stayed for a week. This house was perfect for our needs. We enjoyed the trout stream and the close location to Durango. The hosts provided all the essentials as well as helpful notes. We would definitely stay here again!

Always a splendid stay at the Bear House! The house was prepared wonderfully (all the supplies you will need and is clean), the property is extremely well-maintained and in a beautiful area, and the owners are great with communications!

Beautiful Respite

The house is warm and welcoming and comfortable. The property is idyllic and rejuvenating. The owners make the entire process easy! Emails/texts are responded to promptly! This is the 5th summer that we have stayed at the Bear House and look forward to many more summers of being there!

Beautiful Property

We had a wonderful stay at this home. It had plenty of space inside and the property is gorgeous. We played games outside by the river and just enjoyed the breathtaking views all around us. It was an easy 15-minute drive into Durango for grocery shopping and restaurants.

The best vacation rental property you can find!

Nick and his wife were unbelievable hosts for the property. They did everything to make sure we felt at home. In my opinion 5 stars is not enough gratitude or high enough for the quality of place this home is. This is for sure a very great location and the property itself is amazing. If you are looking at renting in Durango, this is the place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bear Cabin. The home was clean, charming and perfect for our family of 5! Nick was responsive, helpful and accommodating. We loved being 15 minutes from downtown while being tucked away in a little forest along the Florida River! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us! We are already planning our next stay!

Beautiful mountain retreat

This was our second stay at this property and we enjoyed it so much. The house and linens were clean and there is everything you could need in the kitchen. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and spacious. We stayed with some friends who occupied the larger side and it was great being there together, but also having privacy. The grounds are well maintained and the kids and adults alike enjoyed exploring and playing. The fall weather was perfect and we can’t wait to visit again next year!
