Sunny Cottage près du parc national des Glaciers et de la fourche nord de la rivière Flathead

Situation idéale pour une escapade en montagne en famille ou en couple. Ce chalet propre et confortable a une vraie vue sur le Montana. Situé juste à l'extérieur du parc national des Glaciers, il est niché sur un petit plateau situé à l'écart du tronçon pavé du chemin North Fork, entre les accès Canyon Creek Road / Big Mountain et ceux de Blankenship Bridge / North Fork River. Il ne se trouve qu’à 15 minutes de route de l’entrée ouest du glacier du parc national des Glaciers ou des portes moins fréquentées du parc Camas Rd Park menant au pittoresque North Fork Road (et à la magnifique entrée sauvage de Polebridge au-dessus). Si vous recherchez des provisions, des provisions ou un repas, le chalet se trouve à 8 minutes en voiture du centre-ville de Columbia Falls et à seulement 20 minutes de tous les magasins et restaurants du centre-ville de Whitefish. Si vous êtes un skieur, vous pouvez vous rendre au fauteuil 1 du Whitefish Mountain Resort en 25 minutes. (la neige est assez bonne là-bas, mais ne le dites à personne)

Cette retraite privée et mise à jour se trouve sur plus de 3 hectares dans le North Fork Canyon, entourée de crêtes montagneuses pittoresques dans toutes les directions. Le chalet est situé dans un endroit ensoleillé au milieu des pins mélèze et des pins tordus, avec une terrasse orientée à l'ouest, idéale pour griller et se détendre après une journée de randonnée dans le parc, de pêche à la truite dans la rivière Flathead (plusieurs points d'accès pour patauger ou flotter très près) ou en motoneige, les kilomètres interminables de sentiers accessibles à Canyon Creek juste en face de la rue. Et, n'hésitez pas à amener vos amis à quatre pattes; Ce pays Big Sky est mieux partagé avec un chien.

De nouveaux matelas, une connexion wi-fi rapide, un lave-vaisselle, de nouvelles laveuses et sécheuses et le téléviseur à écran plat (Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, Spotify, etc.) vous aideront à profiter d'un séjour relaxant, mais pas autant que le plein air et le coucher du soleil la montagne va.

Amazing place!

Would recommend staying in this adorable house! Well stocked from body wash to laundry detergent! Nice deck for eating meals. Hosts were amazing to work with!

Great relaxing place to stay.

Our stay was great! The house was very clean and was supplied with everything we needed. The location was tucked away with trees surrounding the property and close enough to town and west glacier National park entrance. This was our first time in Montana and we absolutely love it here! Can’t wait for our next trip back.

A hidden gem

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was extremely clean and well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. The location was conveniently located between Glacier National Park entrance and Whitefish. It was near the highway, but just far enough off the road to have privacy. We wish we could have stayed longer, but really enjoyed the time we were there.

We loved everything about this cabin! It's close to the west entrance of Glacier National Park and the nearby towns of Columbia Falls and Whitefish but it feels very secluded. the cabin is bright, spacious and was very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to make all of our meals and the patio was the perfect spot to relax in the afternoon after a long day of hiking. We can't wait to stay here again in the future!

GNP Landing Pad

We stayed in several different spots while visiting GNP. This house was by far the cleanest and best place we stayed. The host communicated well and had it clean and ready upon arrival. The beds were comfortable and every item needed was provided. We'll definitely consider staying here when returning to visit again. Hummingbirds here are the added bonus!

Awesome Glacier Park Mountain Retreat!

It was very clean, comfortable and we felt right at home! So close to the Apgar (West) entrance of Glacier NP! Many helpful hints provided in house notebook. Great place

Great place. Conveniently located close to the National park and Columbia Falls. Private and we felt right at home. Bed was very comfortable and cottage had a great layout for a couple seeking a romantic getaway (like we were) or a family seeking to explore the area together. Well-stocked kitchen and we cooked often. The hosts were extremely helpful with recommendations of hikes, restaurants, etc. Only thing we can think of to improve it is a better Chef’s knife.

Great Family Vacation Home

Myself, my husband and two kids ages 11 & 6 stayed a couple nights at the cottage while visiting Glacier. Andy was very helpful with our Glacier visit planning. My kids were in love with the cottage they had the loft to themselves and we had the comfy master bedroom to ourselves. It was super easy to find and close to Columbia Falls. We went to town to get groceries and also to eat one night. Will definitely stay again!

Perfect for a family!

The hosts thought of everything to make this VRBO our temporary home when visiting Glacier National Park. Plenty of staples in the kitchen to beach towels for our use if needed. Helpful binder of information that we referenced. And clean throughout the house!

Great Glacier cottage

Andy and Wendy’s cottage is a great place to be convenient to Glacier but secluded at the same time. It’s close to the Apgar and Camas entrances, and Columbia Falls for shopping or dining. They have everything you would need during your stay, and it’s all easy to find and all instructions are clear. The “welcome package” is super thoughtful as well. If we’re ever back to the area, this will be our first choice!

Fantastic

Adorable cabin. About 5 minutes from Columbia falls and 15 minutes from west glacier entrance. Columbia has done great coffee shops and restaurants for diner.it’s really perfectly located for a vacation to get away from it all. Cabin is clean, thoughtful amenities, and pup friendly. Great deck to enjoy after a long day of hiking. It seems secluded but is close to it all. Hosts are fantastic. This is a great choice.

Absolutely amazing!

We absolutely loved our stay here. It was the perfect home away from home! It was only 15 minutes to town and 30 to Whitefish which is great shopping! We always appreciate staying a bit out of town where it’s quieter. It’s 20 minutes to the West entrance of Glacier. The house was perfectly clean and stocked with everything necessity you would need. Our kids loved having their own space in the loft and our little dog loved watching the prairie dogs! We can’t wait to visit again! 10/10 from us!

Beautiful place in a beautiful location!

Andy and Wendy thought of every comfort to make our stay amazing whether the weather was nice or as on our last day, windy with torrential rain. From instructions on how to operate the individual thermostats in each room to ideas on what we might enjoy visiting, Andy and Wendy made their home a welcome and pet friendly place to stay. We would definitely book this tastefully decorated and ideally located cabin again if we come back to Glacier. We had a question and Andy responded to our message within an hour. We have run our own vacation rental and can truly say, this is a wonderful place to stay!

Very lovely house. Just longer drive to get to the park entrance than described.

Very clean. Nice layout. Just had issues with the fire alarm going off twice during the night. Couldn't find any issues. Maybe needs a new battery? Great house.

Love this cottage!

We loved our time here. The cottage is so clean (and we really appreciated that) and looks even better in person than it does in the pictures. Andy and Wendy are great hosts who think of everything. There are many supplies in the bathroom, kitchen, and laundry room in case you forgot anything plus strong wi-fi. The location is perfect: it’s only a few miles from the Going to the Sun Road and about 30 minutes from Polebridge. Columbia Falls and Whitefish are really close, too. The cottage itself is in the woods so, in addition to privacy and quiet, we also got to see a lot of wildlife while sitting on the deck or looking out the window. We will definitely be back.

Perfect!!

Everything was wonderful. Beautiful landscape. We enjoyed the little critters in the yard. Never seen so many hummingbirds in one place before! I’m sure the hummingbirds appreciate the nectar refills! We had to leave for our flight quickly on the morning of check out and we had a late night out so we tried to clean. I hope it was acceptable. We left our trekking poles behind as we don’t have use for them (living near Baltimore.) Maybe other guests could use them, or they could be donated to the Sharing Shack (look it up on Facebook. It’s a great sharing space for travelers.) Again, we really appreciate that you shared your space with us. Thank you so much!!

Not at all clean, lots of road noise.

Although somewhat close to Glacier National Park, this home ws not at all clean. There were left over food containers (used mayonnaise and jelly jars, etc) in the refrigerator, as well as old hummingbird food (hummingbird season was over long ago). There was food debris in the refrigerator, all the drawers and cabinets. The floor underneath the fireplace and all the furniture had an inch of dust and cobwebs and dirt. There was a garbage can full of old crushed cans beneath the "can crusher" on the deck. The window sills and frames had a lifetime of dirt there. There was a distinct mildew smell in the bedrooms. This property is very close to the busy road, so there is a lot of road noise. As well if you are traveling with a pet it is not safe to have them in the yard unleashed as it's too close to the road.

Lovely cottage so near Glacier National Park

This cottage was lovely. Andrew was very responsive to all our questions and requests. Also, there were some very nice welcoming touches - wildflowers in little vases, well kept grounds, a welcoming message on the chalkboard, and even a 6-pack of locallly brewed beer in the fridge! Best of all, the cottage was extremely clean, and the kitchen was well equipped. One thing I should mention is that the master bed in the bedroom is VERY comfortable. (This is often not the case with rentals.) Our grandchildren loved the loft and our son said the sleep sofa was very comfortable as well. It was VERY hot while we were there - in the upper 90's most of the time. Per Andrew's recommendation (since there is no air conditioning) we would close all the windows, blinds and curtains when we left in the morning (having trapped in the past night's cooler air), and it felt quite comfortable when we returned to the cottage in the evening. Be sure to pay attention to the "shortcut" via Blankenship Road that Andrew mentions in his welcome folder...it saved us lots of time getting to the West Glacier entrance, and is a very pretty drive as well! FYI, we had an awesome lunch at Backslope Brewing on our way to the airport. Their Bistro Burger was terrific! Also, we appreciated the partitions between the tables and that the wait staff wore masks. (In time of Covid.) Thank you, Andrew, for providing such a lovely cottage. Our 8 and 10 year old grandkids especially loved the hummingbirds and the grounds...building rock cairns was one of their joys! Delores

Great Stay

We absolutely loved the cottage. Andy (the host) stayed in constant contact and went out of his way to ensure everything was perfect! We've been on the road traveling all week and the cottage was a very relaxing and comfortable place to relax especially after a full day of hiking in the National Park. Absolutely loved it!

Elopement in Glacier National Park

This was the perfect sized cabin for us and within perfect distance from west glacier, the main town of Columbia falls and whitefish. The fireplace was the perfect touch for the cold fall mornings. We took advantage of the local hikes that are close to the cabin. Checkin and checkout was very easy and the cabin was well equipped with everything we needed and very clean! I will say I loved the darkening curtains in the bedroom so I could sleep in. WiFi worked well too and was a great addition as neither of us had cell service at the cabin. Would definitely stay here again, thank you for sharing your little gem with us !

The cabin was a perfect place for a girls weekend in glacier. so clean, lots of towels, great space. cozy and warm! so close to the park and the other towns in the area.
